I put this up already but I didnt know if it was in the right section

A word of advice to any company selling Designer Steroid products……..

Designer Anabolic Steroid Control Act of 2011

The new law is not going to be as in the past, to take a bunch of compounds and add them to the list. They are going after all compounds almost like an analog act, acting as a catch-all for the products they have been wanting to remove all along. The law is to prevent any new designer steroids to come to the market.

The worst part is the “adulterated” or “misbranded drug” charge. If you all do not know what this means…. any product that claims to act like a drug or have any action in the body which would be comparable to a drug, gives the legal groundwork to state the once “dietary supplement” is in actuality a “misbranded drug”. Although the general public, general consumer wants to see the long, concise and scientific write-up for their new shiny product, this same write-up is also serving as a concise detailed account of how this new “drug” acts on the body and they are pushing to criminalize marketing steroidal products based on advertising claims. You can’t say anything about anabolic, androgenic, weight gain, muscle building. You can do it if you are selling a protein but not with these kind of products. This new law is supposed to be coming mid 2011.

Fancy write-ups targeting site-specific actions and effects on the body and the claims about the products being sold are laying the groundwork for building a case against you. You might as well open the door for the feds instead of them knocking it down….you are going down the wrong road with your marketing and advertising for these types of products. Remember last year bodybuilding.com and a few other companies got raided, their products weren’t illegal to sell. Bodybuilding.com didn’t get charged but they sure pulled every hormonal compound down from their site quick. A few other companies were forced to take a plea and at least one company was charged with selling a misbranded and adulterated drug; again even though the compounds were legal to sell at the time.

so I'm searching the Library of COngress website for this legislation, and nothing's coming up. So I search Google and the only websites that mention it are a lobby website which says its not even introduced and that a similar entitled bill was lobbied but not introduced in 2010.

So where exactly is this coming from? Who exactly is going to introduce it? It's not even introduced yet and not even on the library of Congress page as potential legislation. ?? The potential Designer Anabolic Steroid Control Act of 2010 was being written and planned by Arlen Specter. Arlen Specter lost to Joe Sestak in the democratic primary. Republican candidate Pat Toomey just beat Joe Sestak Nov 2, and will be replacing Arlen Specter...

Here's an idea. Let's put people into political office that are A: health consicious and athletically/sports/fitness inclined and B: will try to do, or not to do the things that their constituents want of them. We definitely need less government in this case.

There are already laws that cover all of this. All we need is more beaurocracy clogging up our governmental agencies and eating up tax dollars. Let the DEA chase cocaine dealers and the FDA keep strictnine out our Tylenol and leave us alone with our supplements.

I know I am preaching to the choir here but some laws mystify me. If I can go get hormonal therapy to change my sex, get my c0ck chopped off, or get tits installed, why can't a sports doctor and an oncologist help me grow muscles?

This is true but I bet it's only a matter of time before they make this happen! When are they going to write a designer canabinoids act? I mean people using designers are weighing the risk to THEMSELVES, we're not hurting or potentially hurting others. Don't we have bigger problems to solve then ridding the US of designer steroids???

Why can't they put not for human consumption on the labels like they do with designer canabinoids? Course we'd have to buy PSs from head and porno shops

Maybe but I did hear something about congress looking into an analogue act for PSs like other drugs. I can't believe they will leave these alone forever! Look how much money the feds are wasting trying to prove Lance Armstrong doped. HEY, he's retired who cares Novitsky!!! We have bigger problems than rampant PS abuse and people who have doped in the past, damn.

If it is real, all it is gonna do is promote law breaking activities. It doesn't mean people will stop taking steroids/PHs. They'll just find another way to get it. This is why it's not the government's job to tell people what they can and can't take.

Yea so far the OP has made no response to the allegations that this is coming from an invalid source, nor responded to any of the posts period. It does say he is a board sponsor though, but I'm wondering if its a feeble attempt to get people to start buying up product in hopes they buy whatever product he/she is wanting sold.

Ya, but it will stop idiots from just throwing a steroid in with their bulk nutrition products.

it is once people have forfeited their rights over to them for new forms of protection...its really not that surprising, but a sad fate for most good things

I think I have a plan. One issue with a lot of legit pharmaceutical anabolics is that they have little or no legitimate medical uses according to the FDA. So, if we could get some psychologists and psychiatrists to start diagnosing people who desire to train with PEDs and grow some real muscle as a legitimate disorder, then mebbe that would result in them prescribing the proper drug treatment for these "disorders". They could then leave the supplement companies alone.

I mean damn.....you can take a drug for every piss ant syndrome known to man as it is and new ones come out every day. On top of that, almost every one of them lists a LONG list of possible side effects and just about all of the more harsh ones list liver problems as one of the potential sides.

It's America people. Let us choose. I mean, it's perfectly legal to destroy your liver drinking alcohol. So, stop messing with my supplements.

You can bet your nuts (if you have not shrank them away or had them cut off) that IF the big pharm companies ever figure out a way to legitimize anabolic steroid usage on a large scale, there will be a push in Washington to change the laws. Life extension clinics, elite athlete clinics etc would flourish and make money. All you need is the right doctor and bloodwork to use PEDs healthily and sanely. Not to mention, you'd cut illegal drug dealers selling fake crap or contaminated/diluted crap and make training this way MUCH safer. And, doctors could give the real stuff and in proper dosages and stacks as opposed to some of the stuff you read about people doing.

As an ex cop, this makes MUCH more sense to me.

i would only put up with the banning of Steroids if alcohol and cigarettes were also banned and also every other drug with a side effect then i will live in peace, until then let me "kill" myself with steroids or i will go out and get AIDS to get a prescription to get on that GEAR

As long as they don't take away my ecdy!!

I gave up on the thought of PHs after 2005 when the Feds started to crack down. My biggest fear is to get on a PH and then it get banned and I end up on AAS.... So until we live in a world were roids are avail at your local Walgreens (I remember when 1AD was sold there!!) I'll be natty!

The America I want to live in conceal carry would be legal in every state and so would roids.

I'm surprised a legislation like this was never worded to include any derivative of any known steroids before, this would certainly be the end all.

Unlike the 2004 ban which actually sucked as many of those drugs were relatively safe, I think we can all go ahead and just say goodnight sweet prince to PHs and call it a day. It is business as usual for just about every worthwhile company out there.

Not necessarily they just retract from lack of use. Almost like if you were to run a heavy cycle with no PCT. LOL

As for the OT, the govt said back in 04 and I quote "if it works we'll find a way to ban it". Case closed gentleman. Damn shame.

LMR where you at bro? come back in with some more info or are you to busy working with IBE's research chem site to back this up? I think this whole thing was a ploy by IBE to scare companies out so they can try to have a monopoly.

The 2004 ban was nuts, I remember me and my lifting partner being 17, we both knew we would end up not being natural when older, but didn't have the balls to order bottles of M1T for 5 bucks a pop because we were afraid of our parents finding out what it was!! Really wish I would have stocked up on em!

based on some of the verbage in this posting, I'm guessing that you're talking about the "Dietary Supplement Safety Act" that senator McCain was pushing.

I haven't seen anything about this since it was published back in feb.

Underground... haha, I can still see those yellow bottles stacked high at the Arnold Classic for $5 a bottle - wow, unreal. Seems like the Twilight Zone to me looking back. I wonder how many millions they made on $5-10 bottles of steroids back then? Honestly I can't remember if they actually made good products or not.
