Who uses mass gainers?

Anyone use mass gainers like Muscle Juice? I have some trouble eating the average 6 meals per day :D I can't count caloric intake great because chow halls in Iraq are horrible about having accurate nutrition facts. Also I just can't stuff dry chicken breast and crappy white rice down my throat all day long, found this on np and was wondering if anyone uses it or a derivative, I munch PB and almonds, but I don't know if my intake is enough to keep gaining weight!

I make my own weight gainers/meal replacement consisting of whey, oats and ground flax seed. Not a big fan of premade weight gainers or meal replacements, since the carbs sources in them arent usually the greatest.

I have used muscle juice, I think it's excessively sweet and it doesn't mix very well.

If you have to have a weight gainer, I'd go with N-large II.

However, as the poster above suggested, making your own is a better because you omit a good deal of the excess sugar. I've also tried serious mass, it was disgusting and it didn't mix well.

Its next to impossible to make your own shakes here. Weight gainers is a pretty good option for you. Personally, i didn't like N-large or Muscle juice...

From what i remember optimum nutrition's seemed tempting.

Yeah, there is ONE store where I can get any shake materials, its 12 miles away and everything there is iraqi (ie I can't read nutrition facts in arabic/who knows if its good for you anyway) No fresh milk, no blender, I could MAYBE ghetto rig something using milk boxes and oatmeal packets, and a mortar/pestle ? lol.

hey bro the best gainers in my opinion are SAN myojuiced which is primarily low GI carbs from oats and barley i believe. and then MHP up your mass is decent I dont care that it has soy as part of the protein . and another good gainer that is hella cheap right now is nytrogainer its 21.99 for 2 5lb tubs and each one is 15 servings i believe

i feel your pain votum, but i haven't tried that muscle juice, though i was about to but went with universals gain fast 3100 and it seems to be serving it's purpose, it mixes well with no lumps and it's not hella sweet either and it's only $18.99 for a 5lb tub, whereas for $10 more you can get another 5lbs more if you go with that musclejuice, which i'm going to try myself sometime down the line, but the choice is yours, sanchezgreg really knows his sh!t, so you might just take heed to what he suggests, that boy knows his stuff, i salute that dude on that, and i tip my hat to you also for seving us right out there, god bless you

bro , you wanna get fat or something, just eat food, this muscle juice is nothing more than maltodextrin(makes you fat *******).

he thinks we are serious in the MT thread lol.......Anyhow i too would avoid malto in large amounts, high metabolism or not, though i know you take what you can get over there.

i would try to avoid it too but that stuff is like high fructose corn syrup, it's just about in everything nowadays

That muscletech thread is a joke, which is why we don't care how you act in there, it makes it fun for everyone else anyway, but do not, I repeat, do not come into actual threads and try and start problems. I know I am new here but I am fairly sure quite a few people will stand behind me because I am here to actually learn and contribute to the community, whereas most of your activity is in the Muscletech thread and in various porno threads. If you aren't going to be constructive then go away.

Just to chime in on a more serious note...yeah I could totally use a gainer, but they are so damn expensive- n for what? it's typicallly a run-of-the-mill protein blend, some maltodextrin n fructose, n maybe some vitamin/min. thrown in, why the $60 for 8 servings?? Lol.

Have you looked at MRPs? Basically the same thing. I know ON has an Oats and Whey and COre has a decent looking MRP. Ultimate Nutrition has a shake that has all sorts of **** in it though i cant imagine it tastes great i remember it looking effective. When i have more time ill try and do some looking around

I been pm'ing OP. Having been in same situation I can understand the problem he faces. It is unique compared to most people trying to improve themselves. His location makes it difficult to make a personalized gainer. Sometimes the raw materials (oatmeal, protein) have to be shipped into his location.

Also risktaker , lets keep this thread about the OP needs for useful input and refrain from bringing the MT thread into this discussion. . .

i take real mass by gaspari,it taste pretty good,i take it as my post workout protein and on off days on my break at work since i cant eat a big meal.i'll seen good gains but i also eat a good amount.its good in case i cant get all my meals in a day that i want.

I like Optimums Oats &Whey. Its not sold as a gainer... not sure why, i just do double or triple servings and its like 50-75g protein 60-90g carbs and 5-10g fats... something like that and its all whey protein, honey, oats.

tastes pretty good

Dude, If you are outside the wire and wearing all your gear in Iraq good luck gaining weight. I just got back from Afghanistan and it will be like a cut for the next little while for you. You are doing too much cardio, i.e. patrols and such to not walk off most of the weight you are trying to gain. I lost about twenty lbs, but I am a cut mutha now.Good Luck and Stay Safe!

Yeah I am thinking about just saying screw it lol =x I found where they stash the oatmeal in my chow hall so I acquired a bunch :D I'm in a staff position so I spend most of my time in the Fin office, but every once and awhile I get to do battlefield circulation and travel around. I lost 8 of the 20 I've gained last week !

ultimate nutritions other weightgainer has 30 servings which is a lot for a premade gainer...... cant comment on quality....

Normally I would advise against weight gainers but given your circumstance it probably wouldn't be a bad idea.

I actually have used Muscle Juice in the past and I can speak from experience that blended with milk it actually doesn't taste half bad, is obviously loaded with calories, and is hard to beat for the money.

If I even buy one it would be the cheapest ass one with the most calories there is lol. I don't think I will though, seems like a money dump. I can just dump packets of oatmeal into my nutrapro, 170cal in a packet, +104 from a scoop of NP, I use about 2.5 scoops normally, so about 500 cal per drink isnt too bad. Thanks for the advice everyone :D

1cup Blueberries
2 heaping scoops of vanilla Lipotropic Protein
1 sc (protein scooper) of brown rice flour
1 heaping tbsp of almond butter
1 large handful of arugula greens

...massive muscle growth ensues.

I will pay you if you send me 1month supplies of all of that in a care package each month. Definately looks delish though, I need to collect up recipes for when I get home
