Fenugreek?

  1. Fenugreek?

Can somebody give me some information on Fenugreek. Like, what it does? What is it used for? What are the benefits? What are the side effects? WHat is the best dosage? Do you need to cycle it? Does it work synergistically with any other supplements? Thank You

  2. It makes ya shoot massive loads while sweating maple syrup!!!

  3. while yes it does smell like mape syrup, it is marketed as mimicking testosterone! its great stuff i jsut finished my bottle of phytotest, read up on the article and you can learn more aobut it

    What is Phyto-Testosterone?

Phyto-Testosterone is a complex of plant extracts including fenugreek; that mimic & amplify the action of testosterone to make harder muscles, stronger muscles and bigger muscles. At the average dose, Phyto-Testosterone will last 30 days.

Perhaps you have heard of the natural plant flavones known as "phyto-estrogens" or the nasty man-made synthetic chemicals known as "xeno-estrogens". Essentially, these are chemicals that act like estrogen in our bodies. Some of these compounds (especially the xeno-estrogens) can cause unwanted side-effects such as breast tissue growth, impotence, and an overall fat & flabby appearance. What's worse, is that these estrogen mimicking compounds are found virtually everywhere, including our food, water, plastics, and even our soap and shampoo. The point is, it's almost impossible to totally avoid these estrogenic elements, so we simply have to deal with the fact that they play a role in our bodies.

So the question remains, where is Mother Nature's balance to these estrogenic compounds? Where are the compounds that act like testosterone in our bodies?

That is exactly what we have brought you, a completely legal, natural and scientifically proven complex that supports lean muscle growth, rather than breast growth. Phyto-Testosterone is truly man's best friend.

Consider Phyto-Testosterone our non-steroidial muscle building supplement that will produce solid gains in lean muscle mass relatively quickly; especially when combined with ample protein intake. Plus, it will stack well with our other supplements, including Dermacrine and Sustain Alpha for a synergistic effect.

What results should I expect from Phyto-Testosterone?

When combined with proper diet & exercise, Phyto-Testosterone can offer the following benefits -

    •An 8-10lb gain of lean muscle *
    •Increased strength & stamina
    •Improved muscular hardness & density
    •Reduction in body fat
    •Ravenous appetite for food
    * For best results, consume at least 1-2gm of protein per lb of body weight. This will ensure that you have adequate amino acid levels for increased muscle growth.

What are the ingredients & how does it work?

The first ingredient is a specific fenugreek seed extraction, standardized for 50% Fenusides (aka, Testofen™). In a study with castrated animals this ingredient supported muscle and male sex organ growth just as much as testosterone normally would, essentially showing that it can mimic the effects of testosterone. (1) Other research with male athletes (ages 18-35) showed that 600mg/day of Fenuside extract for 8 weeks dramatically reduced fat tissue while increasing lean muscle. These effects were accomplished without any detrimental side effects typically related to the use of anabolic steroids, such as gynecomastia, high blood pressure, or liver damage. (2)

The second ingredient in Phyto-Testosterone is a clinically effective dose of methoxyisoflavone (5-methyl-7-methoxy Isoflavone). This was invented and patented in the 1970's as a muscle building plant flavone that could be used as a legal steroid alternative for humans and animals.(3) Just check out a quote straight from the patent by Feuer et al -

"On examining the data of the analysis of body weight it was found that the weight increase of the muscle tissue was specifically greater than that of the fat tissue, and that fat content of the muscle tissue decreased, while that of proteins rose."

    And further stating...

"We succeeded in partially suppressing the catabolic effect of cortisone with these compounds, and proved that identical doses of anabolic steroids do not exert anabolic effects stronger than that of the invented compounds."

In other words, methoxyisoflavone increased lean muscle gain comparable to that of anabolic steroids, but without any estrogenic or toxic side effects. (4,8) Interpreting studies and results of related flavones, it appears that the mechanism of methoxyisoflavone's anabolic action is by suppression of cortisol, thus preventing the catabolic breakdown of muscle. (6) It also appears that methoxyisoflavone may positively augment the action of testosterone and estrogen. More specifically it's been hypothesized that when high levels of testosterone are present, methoxyisoflavone will amplify the anabolic effects. (5,7) Therefore, methoxyisoflavones muscle building & fat burning effects can be attributed to potentiating anabolic effects of other hormones, while decreasing the catabolic effects.

How is Phyto-Testosterone better than other related products?

With Phyto-Testosterone, you have a unique synergy. You have Fenuside with its testosterone mimicking effects, and methoxyisoflavone with its testosterone potentiating effects. Plus, we've included a clinically effective dose of each ingredient, ensuring that you are getting the real deal, instead of some diluted "catch all" concoction.

Phyto-Testosterone is also a welcome alternative to many pro-steroids on the market that can be highly suppressive to the body's natural testosterone production, as well as potentially being highly liver toxic. On top of this, Phyto-Testosterone poses no risk of showing positive on a drug test, since none of the ingredients are banned by the NCAA or other major athletic organizations.

Does Phyto-Testosterone have any side effects?

The safety profile of these active ingredients have been well established over the years with various human clinical trials. There have been no documented side effects with either ingredient in the formula. (1-4) The only "side-effect" that may accompany the product is an increase in appetite, due to increased protein retention. So, take advantage of this and increase your protein intake!

Also, keep in mind that Phyto-Testosterone is intended to be cycled to keep the body's hormone receptors sensitive to the effects. We currently recommend that Phyto-Testosterone be used for a maximum of 8 weeks, with at least 4 weeks off between each use

  7. Go ahead and use more if u want to grow boobs and breast feed babies. You guys need to get your information straight, fenugreek WILL CAUSE GYNO. The ingredient in these test boosters are an extract of fenugreek called testofen not fenugreek itself which has a totally different effect.

Was just gonna talk about the Testofen.

I wouldn't supplement with Fenugreek if I were you, I would supplement with the Testofen extract of Fenugreek. That seems to have some great reviews.

  9. What would be the best way to take Fenugreek

    suppository

  11. So do u actually think with a supplement like this one(Trigonella foenum-graecum= Fenugreek)is there a change for me to get gyno?

    Amount per 1 Capsule
    Extracts equivalent to dry:
    Puncture Vine (Tribulus terrestris) 5000mg
    Trigonella foenum-graecum 2500mg
    Dioscorea opposita 1000mg
    Macuna Pruriens 1000mg
    Omega 3 Fish Oil (18/12) 750mg
Supplying not less than 225mg Omega 3 polyunsaturates:
    EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) 135mg
    DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid) 90mg
    Natural Vitamin E 5 mg

Inactive Ingredients: Gelatin (Halal Certified), Glycerin, Vegetable Oil, Bee's Wax Yellow, Purified Water, Colours

  12. I would just go with Primordial Performances Phyto-Test. It contains Testofen.

  13. Is Phyto-test as good as PP claims it can be 8-10lbs of gain on it?

  14. Fenugreek will not necessarily cause gyno. It's really irrelevant that it is used in bunk products that are marketed toward female breast enhancement. On women's forums are there posters claiming zomg TRIBULUS grew my clit!!

I've used it before, for a few days before a 'big weekend' with the lady, and it def increased volume. I took 1-2 g/day IIRC, but I only ever used it for about a week. I've heard its effects wear off quickly, so I rec only using it for a big event. Load a few days and then shoot some big loads for a few days. It's about 5 dollars for a bottle that could last months. What's to lose?

  15. Whats the best dosage of Testofen? And, how do you cycle it?

  16. Fenugreek is a local to India and southern Europe. For quite a long time it has developed wild in India, the Mediterranean and North Africa. where it is primarily developed. A constrained yield develops in France. It was utilized by the old Egyptians to battle fever and developed in traditional circumstances as dairy cattle grain.

  17. Summary
    All Essential Benefits/Effects/Facts & Information

Trigonella foenum-graecum, commonly known as fenugreek, is a popular herb in Arabic regions and India. It has traditionally been used to enhance libido and masculinity.

Fenugreek has also been used to alleviate blood sugar metabolism problems like diabetes.

Fenugreek tea has also been recommended to new mothers to enhance milk production. Though evidence for this claim is limited, it seems to be accurate. One human study has shown that fenugreek supplementation can also enhance testosterone, but since additional evidence shows conflicting results, further evidence is needed to confirm this effect.

Fenugreek’s most well-known compound is 4-hydroxyisoleucine, which works to normalize glucose metabolism. The other compounds, called trigonelline, galactomannan, and trigoneosides, also work together to provide benefits for blood sugar.

Supplementing fenugreek may cause body secretions, including urine, to smell like maple syrup. This is due to a metabolite called sotolon.

    Abstract
The aim of the clinical study was to evaluate the effect of Testofen, a standardized Trigonella foenum-graecum (Fenugreek) extract and mineral formulation, on male libido (sexual drive, urge or desire) in a double blind randomized placebo controlled study. The study recruited 60 healthy males aged between 25 and 52, without erectile dysfunction and randomized to an oral dose (two tablets per day) of the active treatment (600 mg Testofen per day) or placebo for 6 weeks. The primary outcome measure was the DISF-SR (male) self-administered QOL total score and the four domain scores. The secondary outcome was specific quality of life parameters. Testofen had an overall positive effect on physiological aspects of libido. In particular, there was a significant increase in the subdomains of sexual arousal and orgasm. Testofen had a positive effect on QOL in self-reported satisfaction with muscle strength, energy and well-being but did not have an effect on mood or sleep. Serum prolactin and testosterone levels remained within the reference range. It was concluded that Testofen demonstrated a significant positive effect on physiological aspects of libido and may assist to maintain normal healthy testosterone levels.

What do you think of Fenutrax? 500mg @ 50% saponis!

  24. There are many natural LH mimetics. These things all help to increase testosterone but like people have been saying it's possible to have side effects. Many of these plants also can increase estrogen as well as testosterone.

    Abstract
This study examined the effect of Testofen, a specialised Trigonella foenum-graecum seed extract on the symptoms of possible androgen deficiency, sexual function and serum androgen concentrations in healthy aging males. This was a double-blind, randomised, placebo-controlled trial involving 120 healthy men aged between 43 and 70 years of age. The active treatment was standardised Trigonella foenum-graecum seed extract at a dose of 600 mg/day for 12 weeks. The primary outcome measure was the change in the Aging Male Symptom questionnaire (AMS), a measure of possible androgen deficiency symptoms; secondary outcome measures were sexual function and serum testosterone. There was a significant decrease in AMS score over time and between the active and placebo groups. Sexual function improved, including number of morning erections and frequency of sexual activity. Both total serum testosterone and free testosterone increased compared to placebo after 12 weeks of active treatment. Trigonella foenum-graecum seed extract is a safe and effective treatment for reducing symptoms of possible androgen deficiency, improves sexual function and increases serum testosterone in healthy middle-aged and older men.

    Abstract
Background: Dietary fiber rich fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum) seeds have exhibited cardioprotective, hypolipidemic and other health benefits. Furosap (FS), an innovative, patented, 20% protodioscin-enriched extract was developed in our laboratory from fenugreek seeds. This study examined the free and total testosterone levels, sperm profile and morphology, sexual health, mood and mental alertness, and broad spectrum safety parameters of FS in 50 male volunteers following supplementation over a period of 12 weeks. Methods: Institutional Review Board (IRB) and other regulatory approvals were obtained for our study. This one-arm, open-labelled, multi-center study was conducted in 50 male volunteers (age: 35 to 65 years) over a period of 12 weeks to determine the efficacy of FS (500 mg/day/subject) on free and total testosterone levels, sperm profile, sperm morphology, libido and sexual health, mood and mental alertness, and broad spectrum safety parameters. Results: Free testosterone levels were improved up to 46% in 90% of the study population. 85.4% of the study population showed improvements in sperm counts. Sperm morphology improved in 14.6% of volunteers. Majority of the subjects enrolled in the study demonstrated improvements in mental alertness and mood. Furthermore, cardiovascular health and libido were significantly improved. Extensive safety parameters were evaluated which included blood chemistry data. No significant changes were observed in serum lipid function, cholesterol, triglyceride, HDL and LDL levels, hemogram (CBC), hepatotoxicity and nephrotoxicity. Conclusion: Overall, the results demonstrate that FS, enriched in 20% protodioscin, is safe and effective in attenuating testosterone levels, healthy sperm profile, mental alertness, cardiovascular health and overall performance in human subjects.

  25. Years ago I went through a few bottles of NOW fenugreek, at like 2.75 a pop. The maple syrup effect is real, and amusing. Your sweat literally smells like maple syrup. I remember liking it, feeling good on it, and for 2 bucks s bottle, lol, it was worth it. The comment about it 'causing Gyno ' is just pure retardation.
