Testicle Pain While Squatting (not sure where to post)

Every now and then ill notice that while I am squatting, to be precise it is after squatting down and while iam pushing back up to normal stance, I will get a bit of a pain in one of my nuts. It goes away once my knees are straightened back up and does not continue after I am done with all of my sets. It is just for a second or two while standing back up from the down position. Anyone ever experience this or know what it could be a sign of or if it is normal when doing a straineous exercise?

Also, and I know this is a bit of a weird question (and please try and be serious with your answers lol) does anyone notice that while they are in the gym working out, right after a set, your piece tends to really shrink up and sack tends to get real tight? I notice that while im working out, usually immediatly after a set (most of the time after a heavy set) my whole unit just seems to really shrink up. Anyone else experience this? Haha serious answers please.

* Sorry wasnt sure where to post this so I just threw it in the forum.

Two of my buddies had this. One in the middle of the night and the other after he got "sack tapped" funny but ****ty at the same time. Also, my junk tends to tighten up while lifting as well lol I dunno why. Maybe I'm just a little guy.

hmm idk i looked it up and it talks alot about severe pain. I only notice anything while squatting so im thinking it might just be because im straining myself. Doubt its anything serious

I would just keep an eye on it and make sure everything is working right, if not, then you might wanna get checked.

Activation of the sympathetic nervous system while exercising can cause your boys to draw up into your body. Also torsion of the testes is very painful and needs to be dealth with urgently; you definitely don't have it. If you had a direct inguinal hernia you would likely notice bulging in the skin during exertion but you made it sound like it's your testes that are sore. Perhaps you're just going to deep on the squat and squishing them? Sounds silly, but try wearing some boxers with compression and see if it helps.

even if the hernia isnt large, such that he would notice a bulge, the nearby nerves can be irritated to the point the pain would radiate down. i think a hernia is the leading candidate here, and OP if there is any way to get a referral to see a general surgeon do it. in the meantime good support underwear is a great idea.

Its not super serious i feel tho. I am still about to go about my squatting, just sometimes tend to feel a little tension. When you talk about a buldge, what kind of buldge we referring to?

down in your groin. where your thigh meets your lower abdomen, in that crease. if you cough hard you may feel a bulge. as hernias get larger the material can eventually end up in your scrotum. when small you may not even get the bulge but the abnormal stretch causes pain.
like some said, i'm not worried about torsion.
i suppose it could even be tight hip flexors, or possibly a hip joint issue. your body just interprets it as testicular.

PM me if you want to not answer out here...but do you feel some firm cord-like structures near your testicles? Like firm worms. that's a varicocele, or dilated veins. we all have them normally on the left, sometimes both sided. its possible you have a symptomatic varicocele, in that bearing down dilates the veins enough they hurt. that's something a Urologist would evaluate, maybe needing an ultrasound. i still favor a hernia.

I get strain in my balls and groin area on leg press and my groin will be sore for days if I push it on. Also sometimes with tricep pushdowns. When I have too much weight I feel it down there. I went to the doc to get examined for hernia twice but he said no. The pain eventually lessened and went away but If I push it, it always comes back. I'm told just to watch it and not do exercises that may aggravate that area. So I never do leg press anymore. Regular squats don't bother me at all. It's only leg press. Lunges, deads, nothing else bothers it. It's not worth the risk. If something is bothering you listen to your body and maybe change your form or don't do the exercise. I don't know about the shrinking issue..can't say I noticed that.

From what i understand (and i could be wrong). torsion is basically where ur balls get tangled up to where it becomes a problem, and they have to surgically 'untangle them'. Supposed to be one of the worst pains ever.. its just something totally random that could happen to anyone if they moved the wrong way

ya your private parts will tighten up and mybe shrink just during exercise on acount of your body pulling blood away from there and putting it to the muscles in use at the time. it does return to normal after working out tho

I usually wear regular boxers but stopped on leg days because on the way up from a squat my balls get squished between my thighs haha

funny... but painful.

Ok heres an up-date...

Two days ago while doing squats I felt a slight ache in my right nut while pushing up on each rep. Felt a bit discomfort after the gym for a few but was not anything too severe and eventually subsided. Yesterday I woke up with an ache in my left nut. I went to the gym (bi's and tri's day) and come my second workout I really started to not feel myself. I all of a sudden felt very very tired, very weak, fatigue, a little light headed, had no motivation to be in the gym at all, almost felt like i was going to fall over. Did one more set and felt like I wasnt even working out. I was doing all the same workouts with all the same weight so there was nothing different or new that was hard for me. I sat around for a few minutes debating whether I was going to stick it out or cut it short. Now usually with me, no matter how little sleep I got the night before or how hungover I am, once im in the gym and get movin im fine and i want to be there and enjoy my workouts. i never skip a gym day and never have cut a workout short. So after sitting around, and realizing something really wasnt right, i said f*ck it and went home. I talked to my mom for a few and explained this to her, also explaining how for the past few months iv been very lathargic and fatigue throughout the day with little to no motivation to do anything. At this time the ache in my balls was alot worse, i felt like someone had kicked me in them then held a lighter underneath them. I also told my mom how for the past two months, every now and then I will experience a sense of erection problem. Where I will be with a girl, everything will be all good, but my desire to have sex and the enjoyment of the whole situation has really been different lately, not waking up with wood, not have random wood throughout the day, and eventually loosing it when im with a girl and not being able to get it back. So we decide to try and get into my doctors office but she was out for the day. So....with me feeling as ****ty as i was we decided to just go to the ER cause i needed some bloodwork done to see why i felt like i was going to faint and wanted someone to check my boys out to see why they hurt, thought maybe i had a hernia.

I talked to the doctor and explained everything to him...They took all regular bloodwork, came back fine. He self examined my balls, saw/felt nothing abnormal. He sent me over for an ultrasound on my balls (yes the thing they do to pregnant woman to see the baby). Took all sorts of pictures of every angle of each testicle. This came back fine. Said they saw no lumps, no abnormalities, the only thing was that I had a vericose vein (similar to the ones people will get in their legs when they are a bit older and tend to do alot of walking). So i asked him well what they hell does that mean ad he said nothing. I asked if this could be causing the soreness im feeling and the problems im encountering during sex. he said no, that it does not cause any problems and just like when people have them in their leg, if they take it easy for a while and stay off it, it will subside. So if you take it easy, take a break from the gym and all the exercise and activities for a bit, it will go back to normal.

So this is what ifoound out. About 2 months ago i had mono pretty bad. I was on an antibiotic for 10 days, felt pretty much better, then went right back to going to the gym 5 days a week, drinking, partying, staying up late, all that nonsense. He said that although i dont feel sick and may think im fine, mono can stay in ur system for a hwile after, often causing you to be very fatigue and sluggish. He said this is most liekly why I have been noticing i dont have too much energy throughout the day, and possibly why Sex has been different. He suggested that I take a good month to relax. Take a month off the gym (ugh) try to limit the drinking, try to get better sleep, and then I should be ok, my body should then be well rested and ready to go.

I suppose maybe i am a bit over trained. I go to the gym 5 days a week but In the past year and a half i have not taken time off at all...Maybe 4 days. Between that and my lifestyle up at college i suppose that maybe i did put alot of stress on my system and on my boys. So im going to see a urologist this week just to double check but i should be ok. He is relating all to the aftermath of mono and how it effects your body being tired and constantly fatigue.

Spent 6.5 hours in the hospital to be told....Take a break

I've had the same, or similar, issue for the past 6 years or so. I have had test done, and they have found nothing. I have been examined by all types of specialist and had images taken but nothing.

It goes away now for months at a time and sometimes comes back. It only happens when I squatted heavy or did heavy standing barbell curls, or heavy leg presses...felt like someone was tying a rubber band around my "sack".

However, it has never given me any problems outside of the gym and to this date, I haven't had the issue in several months although, i do not squat anymore due to a disk issue. So, perhaps it could still be there. I do know that I lift odd things around the house and still do hack squats but I never feel it anymore.
