Is there a big difference in taking Zinc/Magnesium Aspertate over Zinc Gluconate and Magnesium Oxide separately? Thanks

i would think so

mag oxide barely gets absorbed... you need magnesium citrate or turate(sp?)

zinc picolonate is supposed to be absorbed best, opti-l-zinc is also worth trying

also take some b-6 when you take the above....

and yes this will save you a ton compared to buying ZMA...

Is the b-6 very important?
well from what i remember, it makes it easier for the magnesium to be absorbed...

maybe if you take a little extra magnesium to allow that you get enough...

i've started taking Now magnesium citrate powder along with zinc pico. and vit b6 and for the first time ever, i get the drowsiness effect that some get from ZMA

all of the components in a ZMA blend are equally important. By definition, ZMA is zinc, magnesium, and vit. b-6. Preferably zinc and magnesium aspartate
