next should be a thread about which supplements you take that you would actually use again. I realize lots of things are staples and used every month, but lots of new additions to my regimen are never used again cause I felt they were ineffective. but for me

Krill oil (very trendy at the moment), MVP (Millenium), Milk thistle, PPs Toco, Olive oil, Hawthorn, DMAE and centro, NA-RALA, B6, lots of mega-B vits (GGG brand), Zinc/copper formula (ZMP when this runs out), mega C, Resveratrol (Stoked), Liver caps (Animal), Chromium, Pre-workout caps (forget which) for AKK or is it AAK? , Piracetam/CDP choline (citicoline), ALCAR, idebenone, Cordeceps (Millenium strains), Gut Health or equivalent (I dunno if this does anything), Gingko biloba

Lets put them in order:
Noots: Gingko biloba, ALCAR, Piracetam/CDP choline (citicoline), Krill oil, idebenone, DMAE and centro

we will see. i just bought it. i 'heard' it was synergistic with divanex, so ill run 800mg a day till i run out and see how that goes.

what are you wanting to do? It all depends. Lately I have been going after general health supplements more so than bodybuilding supplements.

Just grab some protein right now and eat whole foods.

I know it's confusing. That's kinda why I started this thread hoping that if someone new had a list of supplements that veterans were using then at least you wouldn't necessarily be throwing your money away on gimmicky junk.


Oh and btw anabolicminds rocks for having a mobile browser version of the forum available. Posting from my iPhone ftw.

Its an amino acid which is used in the CNS. Bodybuilders began to discover it as having a cryptic role in muscle building. I think you're question is "I know that, but why at night not e.g. pre- post- workout". Its a good question.

Simple... I've somehow got loads of it. Its cheap and is used as a night supplement because relaxes (perhaps not everyone). The theory (just a theory) is it regenerates/stimulates/does something good to the CNS. It must have a role in the CNS.

Theanine is similar but expensive. This is probably involved in GABA more directly.

Tryptophan I'm not keen on... serotonin type stuff ain't for me. In fact I hate it. Girl and hanging out on forums is all the serotonin I need.

You completely train-spotted my stack though.

Right now my short term goal is to cut the little bit of belly fat i have accumulated. long term, I wouldn't mind adding about 25lbs of lean mass.
currently my diet consists of whole wheat carbs, protein, and low calories. I haven't gotten to the point of counting everything out. I just try and watch my portion sizes.
My current list of supps is:
Multi vitamin
CE2
NO2
green tea extract
fish oil-3000mg
milk thistle
protein shakes
just ordered-mass fx

I work out 5on 2 off.
any input or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

well I'm no expert but one thing I have recently learned the hard way is that your diet needs to be on parr BEFORE you think about anything else. Otherwise you're wasting time and money. I spent years in the gym working out hard only to get meager gains. Only recently have I been on a "planned" diet. Eating 6 or more times a day is key to get your metabolism firing and that will help tremendously in getting your fat down.

Your question will probably be better answered in the Diet section.

I posted a similiar question over there and got no responses. I eat roughly six small meals per day now. breakfast would be somthing like 3 scrabled eggs, 1 english muffin no butter, 1/2 cup of plain grits and a banana. mix 1 protien shake for mid am snack. for lunch 1 cup whole wheat pasta with 6-10 shrimp and some veggies. protein shake mid pm. dinner could be 6-8 oz fish or chicken on the grill with brown rice and a steamed veggie. another shake before bed or sometimes a pbj.

Okay got a more specific answer. It is probably causing a drop in blood pressure and hence it "relaxes".

The nutritionist I use to hire said the same. However some of the stacks are massive and a meal in themselves. Clearly you don't just do a stack but also think how the diet interacts with it.

Its a widely held view though, even amongst professional advizers.

I'm no trainer but I'm helping an obese friend lose some weight for health reasons. I instructed him to start eating smaller meals at 2-3 hour intervals and get that down before I even wanted to see him in the gym.

It looks like your on the right track. I don't know what your gym routine is but try to focus on compound exercises...deadlifts and squats are amazing at shedding fat. Learn to love them and your body will love you.

Stim when needed and usually prewo, currently Stacker 3 because it's cheap and available at the PX.

Nitrotech and Mesotech bars just because of the PX factor and meal limitations
GNC Staminol on occassion-picked it up on the fly because it had pretty much all of my "fun stack" ingredients in one. i do like it even if it is gnc


Currently until I run out/ go on leave:
Slim Xtreme-got it a week before the fiasco. i take one in the morning and that's it. usually skip a day here and there when not much is going on
Reset AD-came with the SX for $5. not sure if I like it or not. def does something though
