    fda warning-where is it

ok, so slimx is supposed to be harmful, and this is according to the fda right. so where is the public announcement warning people not to take it? if this were tylenol or bayer aspirin there would be cnn trucks parked all over the place at bb.com. i have seen no public statement from fda and i can't be the only one that thinks this is a bunch of crap. i don't know what they are up to but this has got to be a smoke screen or it would be all over the news.

well think about it, if stimx really was harmful they would be announcing how they were saving possibly 1000's of lives by taking a harmful supplement off the market. cnn would be all over it and politicians would be lining up to take credit. were is cnn?

You're getting way too ahead of yourself. It's only been a few days and I would imagine that they're also compiling all of their data from the recent raids.

Also, SX is nothing compared to Tylenol, Advil, etc. Even when HydroxyCut was pulled, there was very little media coverage and the revenue generated by that is much, much higher. There have been many supplements pulled at one time or another and they barely make a ripple in the news stream.

Well I am still curious to hear what is the deal since I decided to pick up a few orders of SX with Reset AD.

The FDA has said nothing about SX. This whole ordeal was sparked by an individual that ran it through a GC.

Rodja is right, I didnt know hydroxycut was pulled untill i noticed the empty spots in Walgreens. Something like SX isn't a household name. Its not sold at drug stores, and you dont see ads for it everywhere, so it's not going to make many people jump.
At the same time, I think the FDA is lurking somewhere building up enough data to finally change the supp world as we know it. I dont think they want to come out with stuff here and there, they rather bring it all out in one big bang so its more compelling to the none AM member

Rightfully so. The effects have the same euphoria effect and cns effect of an amphetamine.

Yes I do understand what you are saying. I was just letting him know that as of now, there is no FDA report on it. I'm sure they will be looking into it though.

these are very good points, but i don't understand how the fda could sit on information about a potentially dangerous supplement even for an hour. one more question, how could the government seize all those supplements from the biggest online retailer without any news organizations reporting it? WHERE IS CNN.

it is alleged to be close to modafinil and pipradrol, not the same but similar. it is the same logic they are going to apply to hdrol-similar but not the same as turinadol.

You completely ignored my point about relativity. On a global or even national scale, this is very, very minor news. How many people really care about an online supplement retailer being raided by the FDA? It's important to us, but we can't live in a fishbowl and apply it to the ocean.

The FDA has been in war with the supp world for years. You have to understand if they are able to regulate this industry their stock is going to do up sort to speak. They finally are having luck to get warrents to raid places like BB.com's warehouse.
I mean look at PH's now. Your starting to see different labels, different dosing, different names for things. This started when people got wind of a possible ban. If the FDA "leaks" to much of their info, they are gonna end up with nothing, making them look really, really bad.
While you do make a good point where is CNN, the BB raid was in the NY times(atleast online) as well as other news sites. I guess it hasn't gotten around to CNN just yet, they might be still crying over MJ's death.

Seriously.. how are you going to have a problem with this. The compound in question is a cardiac-toxic designer amphetamine. The stuff is dangerous, and the FDA can pull it on suspicion, do their homework, then release reports. You will see it on their website soon I am sure... but its not like we are talking about muscletech here who is in every grocery store on the globe, we are talking about a niche supplement company, as Rodj was saying.

like everything the government does in it's 'war' against drugs, publicity is it's main goal. but what if the news organizations pulled the rug and busted the fda out for not putting the news out that this stuff could be harmful? this could possibly bite the government in the asss. so what if slimx is not mainstream, if just 10 people are at risk versus 10,000 the liability remains the same. writing to the fda to bitch is worthless, but maybe writing to news organizations might kick the dumbasses were it hurts-bad publicity.

Arlen Specter, a PA Senator, has been on this crusade for years. I think he's a tad more important than any reporter.

    Indeed.

On a side note: I received my packages from Nutra (placed order yesterday), and inside the boxes were tons of SX samples. I guess they are trying to get rid of them because I seriously got over 10 packs of samples.

So many things have been written about this but I have not seen anybody stating that slimx is proven to be harmful. Instead people complain about the lack of any data, which is a door-opnener for many speculations, e.g. that it might have similar adverse effects as some well known designer stims.

I also haven't seen anybody referring to FDA. Did FDA even investigate this issue?

FDA needed several years till they wrote a warning letter to companies selling superdrol, and it took them another 3 years to start raiding companies that still sell them. slimx is being sold for about 6 months.
The apparent non-involvement of the FDA is meaningless at this point, except they tested it and found it to be O.K.

Right. The affidavit states that the FDA purchased SX from BB com, but that's all it says about it. What they tested it for or even if it was tested remains to be seen.

Actually you are wrong. The FDA didn't say anything about it yet. The compound you are referencing came mostly from bluelight, with the GC posted.

That's what I've been trying to say. By no means am I trying to sugarcoat the issue at hand just that the FDA is not involved on this one.

It's no problem T... There are quite a few people quoting it as the FDA, because of the raids going on with the other stuff.

there's a difference between potentially toxic, toxic at certain levels and just plain being deadly... While it's easy to argue blame and mislabeling, I don't feel anyone here can really be so sure to say something is gonna kill you or make your heart explode given it still hasn't been 100% agreed on the exact actions it gives. So far I see a lot of 'similar' 'should be close to' 'looks like' and so on in reference to the GC posted all over the net.

We're still in standby mode on knowing anything that specific but hopefully we'll know more soon. Considering a minor change in chemical structure can change a PH from something powerful to something worthless is always noted, I don't understand how it's suddenly abandoned or forgotten in this particular case.

No, this is NOT according to the FDA, solely. This is according to SEVERAL chemist from bodybuilding.com, and a few others from other sites that actually found out or speculated that this product was, potentially, harmful....Patrick Arnold, beej, and a few more...
