question on vitamins

my gf bought me some one a day vitamins form like walmart. is one a day enough? or can i dose it at 2 a day like one in the with breakfast and another in the evening?

this depends on the amount of each ingredient .look for things like 100% rda -recommended daily amount. Some vitamins are toxic such as vit a but not beta carotene and vit d . others like vit b complex and vit c are water soluble and you pee out what you dont need.Avitamin/mineral supplement should just be taken as in a supporting role to a healthy balanced diet , it should not be used because you are not eating a healthy balanced diet.

The forum is a bit more than Walmart vits. They will not harm but not do much else.

Supplements here will be based around mega-dose C and mega-dose B vits. The idea being to give the body and mind everything it needs for optimal anabolism.

Orange Triad or Animal Stak are the sort of strength vits that would be used. I use Dr. Wilson's Dynamite for adaptogens and B-vits, liver tabs for copper + a few B-vits and use a separate mega-B vit supplement. This forum is really kicking at 1000 - 10000% RDA for B-vits and 2g or so C-vit. Vit E is heavily used (Toco-8 PP)- I took some this morning. These will be high quality supplements that will (should) have have bio-availability.

General vits and minerals are often low grade and poorly absorbed.

I hope this helps but we are in different leagues here.

The problem with this is taking one in the evening my keep you up at night. On a few occasions in the past, I missed my morning multi- vit. dose so I took it when I got home from work. No sleep that night!

There is no reason why you cannot miss a dose.Dont forget vits/ mins are in food so you will have absorbed some throughout the day .Dont get paranoid about taking vit /minerals thinking that something may happen to you if you forget occasionally -it wont .

you could have missed the dose for that day altogether and resumed the next day.

Yeah, I also cycle my vitamins so I don't become dependant on them. Let the old body find some on it's own for a while. Got to keep it guessing.

Raw One by Garden of Life. Very sparse formula, vegan softgel. Great results because its not filled up with mcg amounts of god knows what, so that they can in fact fit in the higher amounts of whats actually effective.
