Amino Acid inquiry

My current amino acid supplement is AminoBolic from Ultimate Nutrition. The pills are freakin' huge (bigger than any in animal pak haha) and was thinking of maybe trying recoverPro from AI. My only thought is that I can get aminobolic for $26 and it will last two months (I take it pre w/o only).

Profile:
Leucine 6500 or so
Valine 1200
Isoleucine 1200
Histidine 800
Lysine 1200
Methionine 400
Phenylalanine 1200
Threonine 1200
Taurine 1500
Glutamine 1500

I know EAAs have to be acquired through diet, but how important are they pre w/o? If I bought recoverPro I could take it pre and intra w/o and it would last longer but I wonder if would be missing something going that route. Thanks for the thoughts.

If you consume a well-balanced meal (total macros depending on goal of training) ~1.5 hours before workout, then you should not need anything else prior to workout. However, you could sip on a gator-aid during workout, but ideally you should only require water with workouts lasting less than ~1.5 hours.

you will get the rest of your aminos through a nice diet rich in protein

I know I get plenty of aminos through the day. When life is cooperating I get in at least 300 grams of protein a day. I just like the extra recovery of the aminos and was wondering if just BCAA's would better cover what I want. Normal pre w/o meal is a 1-1.5 scoops of protein and normally a dry cup of oatmeal. With the amino acids, though, my body has felt a lot better.

You should consume a bit more food before workout, and like I said you'll have to wait ~1.5 hours for maximal performance. BCAAs consist of 3 EAAs, I believe-and through a well-balanced diet you shouldn't need any additional supplementation.
