Hey everyone, I'm new to the site and had some questions before going out and buying some supplements to help me with some of my goals, which will be discussed later.

I'm a 19 yr old who used to way a whomping 250lbs back my Freshman year of high school. Ending that year I knew I needed to lose weight, so I signed up for the gym and went all most of that summer entering Sophomore year. Got down a few 20lbs less. Throughout that year and entering my Junior year I got down to 180-185 area. More lean muscle that bulk (picture below)..since that I kept my work out a little less and got into football my last year of high school. Gained that weight back into muscle, so after the season I was weighing around 195. I also did MMA so that helped me with cardio. For some reason though I'm not as cut as I used to be or any where near it. I now weigh 205lbs (last I checked was 4 days ago) I don't really like it at all. I do have the strength in me, but I'd like to get back down to the 185 area and loose my body fat. I never had it tested out so I don't know my %.

(Never mind I cannot add the pictures)

Anyways..I friend from work says he was taking a supplement NO2 and how he loved it and everything. I read up a few reviews from this site under a title called "no2 black powder" , but he took the capsule form which he mentioned lasts longer and what not.

I no longer do MMA because of the price and other issues. Last I ran 3 miles on the treadmill was 2 weeks ago and that was 1time for 3 days and then I biked 8miles on the 4th day. I still have the cardio, but the fat is a negative factor.

So I was looking around like I said and found a brand called NOW that has the ingredient of AAKG 3500MG for a lot less than the NO2. I was thinking of take that, with muslce milk before and after work outs. And take my fish oil like I do after my meals.

Ideal goal; Lose 10-15lbs and gain a good amount of that back in lean mass.
What do you think is best as far as supplements go?

If you're willing to help I'll find a way to send pictures of my before and after.

Sounds like my story a bit...I was at 320 in highschool myself.

If you are looking to recomp it will come down mostly to diet...probably about 90% diet...you will want to eat a ton of Protein (1.5-2g per lb of weight)...good fats and complex carbs.

nuts, fish oil, chicken, fish, almonds (natural) will all be your friends here.

As far as supplementation goes....have it take a back seat to this. The AAKG is GREAT for pumps...but will be nothing like black powder in terms of preworkout supps. Their are a few less expensive options than black powder(I like the powder myself) if that is your goal to get the focus/pump/energy going for preworkout...my favs are MANIAC! by Anabolic Innovations of course(80 servings for 33 bucks), Superpump 250 and White Flood...if you want strictly intense energy, give jack3d a look also

IF you are going on a caloric deficit (you will have to to drop 10-15 lbs) also check out RecoverPRO...it is on presale now at the planet for about 34 cents per serving. BCAAs are great for recovery and the 4:1:1 gives you more of what you need (leucine).

PM me if you have ay other questions :)

That Maniac! doesn't sound like a bad idea. I probably would take that before pre-workout and then do my cardio and my low weights instead of heavy weight lifting. Would this be ideal?

That reminds me after looking at the RecoverPRO my friend did mention about Amino Acids too would be helpful.

the recoverpro is far more useful than recovery as well. When you are on a calorie deficit, you can sip that when your hungry. It will spare your muscles without all the added calories. your goal is to keep all the strength and muscle you can while cutting and that is where diet comes in huge!

A bit confusing for me since I'm fairly new into this dieting and what not. I never really had my own set diet I just kinda stopped with the junk food back in high school , but it's haunting me again. I will start tomorrow and hit the gym. Try to wake up early and eat some eggs.

Would these products be sold in places like GNC or Vitamin World?

It sure is good to support the forums. I signed up on bodybuilder awhile back but this seems more of a laid back place in a way.

Appreciate the help. The only reason I asked is because if I started to work out tomorrow I rather have those supplements in hand and ready to go.

If anything I could purchase the two (maniac and recoverpro) in-stores, and the others through the site. Or do I not need to take that many?

I totally understand that want and need to get them ASAP. Just remember NP for your future needs :) They're shipping is pretty quick.

Maniac will be your energy and pumps
Recoverpro will be your recovery and muscle sparing supplement.

Both will be great to take together.

I am not sure if you will be able to find these two at GNC or Vitamin World or not. Best way to find out is to look at their website.

Remember to be intaking your protein and drinking lots of water!

The protein if anything will come from muscle milk if I were to purchase that in-stores too.
I did see the white flood, super pump, and jack3d were the same basically as the maniac, but I will do what you suggested. I'll be home today anyways so I could stop by the mall just to check.

Their site didn't have them listed, if not I'll just call to save myself the trip. xD

There are other products you could use similar to maniac and recoverpro. These two products tho are one heck of a bang for your buck tho.

I like the bang for your buck. ;] Best bang for the results right?
Thanks for the information. I really appreciate it! Just wish I could post some pics! >.<

Sure isn't in-stores at my local mall. You can say I'm jumping on the band wagon and buying myself some. They were like come in we have some other stuff we can sell you. lol Commission based salesmen. lol

Just beware of the marketing hype. Dont get pulled into anything that sucks.

MANIAC! will eventually be in some brick and Mortar stores, but Nutraplanet supports these boards and is much cheaper...so get it here

Oh I sure won't. I was like oh alright thanks for the information. Looking into my bank account now to make sure I have the funds for both products. :]

just make sure to keep a close eye on your calories too, and keep us updated on your progress :)

You gonna buy @ NP? I am sure they wont take but a couple days to get to you

Oh yeah that's understandable that's where I get ugh about.
I usually will eat something without measuring it or keeping track. It's difficult for me. I will keep a log though!

If I were to start tomorrow (in the morning w/o supplements) I would probably start off with boiled eggs I assume right?

I'm from Massachusetts, not sure where they're located.

Regardless of supplements, eggs are always a great food in the morning. Very nutrient dense.

That sure is true. I always had cereal in the morning =[ or like a banana shake. :\

It says one of the products in the carts are oversold and will delay the shipping. =[

recoverPRO is on presale...but will ship out real soon, like early in the week, don't sweat it

My best advice I can give after the others have already given great advice would be to emphasize the water intake.

I think it is one of the most overlooked and underrated aspect of a healthy body.

WATER! WATER! WATER!

Jack3d has an appetite suppressant in it which works well IMO. Didn't know it when I started taking it, but I did notice I was never hungry. So it's not a mental thing, it actually works.

Thanks for the opinions! Started my diet and will start my work out today with cardio, and full body work out and lots of water while I wait for my recoverpro and maniac!

NICE! let Anabolic Innovations and myself know what you think about the products when you take them.
