Whats going on guys? Some UK sports supplement internet sites are having difficulty importing from the states and its not just prohormones/designers.

Have customs tightened controls? Is the recession biting into the supplement industry?

Does anyone know?

It could be a varety of things. The UK may be tightening their requirements for imported supplements and what they can/can't be, etc. (much like the TGA in Australia and Medsafe in New Zealand); which would indirectly make it potentially a Customs issue. Otherwise it may be that UK retailers/etailers do not want to import from overseas for a while; or that distributors are cutting back on the brands and product lines that they carry. It could be any number of reasons.

The UK retailers ive spoken to are getting frustrated that orders are not being met. I think maybe it might be a case of just waiting to see if anything changes.

In that case it may be that product stock WITH the companies they are purchasing from is low and that they need to make more product, causing backorders, etc. Or it could be that companies are making less product than they were.
