Life Extension Cruciferous Vegetables Extract -- Anti- or Pro-Estrogenic?

Some time ago I began taking this supplement as a natural estrogen blocker, since at the time both 13C and DIM had a lot of buzz and the product itself was reasonably priced. Since then, there has been much talk that at least one of these compounds, DIM, increases rather than decreases estrogen levels. I discontinued use, but am wondering if that move was rash. Can anyone share some wisdom regarding the efficacy of these ingredients for lowering estrogen?

Indole-3-Carbinol and DIM decrease estradiol but will increase other estrogens, supposedly good estrogen. Estradiol is the most feminizing form of estrogen.
