Would Glucosamine & Chondroitin and/or Cissus help a sprained elbow?

Would Glucosamine & Chondroitin and/or Cissus help speed the recovery of a sprained elbow? Or, do you know of any other supplement that would aid my recovery? It's not exactly a joint issue, so I'm not totally sure.

I fell wrong while playing football with some friends. I put out my arm to break my fall and sprained my elbow. I'm expecting this to sideline a lot of my upper body workouts for 3-4 weeks, so anything to speed my recovery would be great.

it "may" help. but it usually takes a few weeks before you see benefit from those supps. not b/c their bad choices but the body just takes a while to repair. in addition to those i would take an anti inflammatory (aleve)
 
Cissus worked wonders for my elbow pains from moving heavy weight. 2 weeks in and I can honestly say I'm cured.

I'd also take some time off to rest as well depending on the severity of the sprain
 
SuperCissus RX is what you would be looking for. It would help with the sprained elbow and reduce the recovery time. It would also help with the pain.
 
A sprain is a stretched tendon or ligament; glocosamine/chondroitin will do nothing for it. So as good as Animal Flax and Osteo Sport may be, you are paying for a lot of stuff you don't need. USPLabs Super Cissus is the deal for you.
 
Thanks for the responses. I've decided to go with both the SuperCissus RX and the Osteo Sport. It was a little pricey, but I want to recover as quickly as possible.

I'll post an updated to let you know how it goes.

My sprained is bad, but it could be worse. My elbow is swollen and bruised, and my rotation is limited.
 
Just a quick update if anyone is interested, it turns out one of my ligaments is fully detached from my eblow, which requires surgery to fix. I probably won't be able to do curls for 6 months. I'm hoping the Osteo-Sport and Super Cissus will help my recover though. I will probably take both starting about a week after the surgery :(
