asking this question for my father who is in constant pain all the time and takes either oxycontin, percocet or morphine pills everyday in order to function. he has arthritis throughout his entire body and some big long disease i can't remember the name but basically it can make your bones fuse together. he also had a dr. who told him who cares if you get addicted to percocet.

so i ask what could he take to maybe get off the drugs or lessen the amount of time he has to take them. i was thinking maybe a test booster because hes almost 50(dr's have never checked his test levels) and maybe high dose of cissus along with some powerfull at night? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: Ankylosing spondylitis, thats the disease.

Try the Osteo-Sport from Applied Nutriceuticals. My dad (68) loves that stuff. Has made a huge difference in life quality

Fish oil
Curcumin (look at the LEF curcumin, PM strategic for details :D )
Osteo Sport or the new Anabolic Innovations Essentials

Definately Curcumin and Fish oil, though.

Thats why I said it helps with chronic "Rheumatoid" arthritis, which also is an auto immune disease that causes the immune system to attack joints

Wow, that's 110% ****ed up. Sorry dude. But again, curcumin and fish oil are great anti-inflammatories.

Starch-free diet

The majority of patients with AS exhibit the HLA-B27 antigen and high levels of immunoglobulin A (IgA) in the blood. The HLA-B27 antigen is also expressed by Klebsiella bacteria, which is found in high levels in the feces of AS patients. A theory suggests that the presence of the bacteria may be a trigger of the disease, and reducing the amount of starch in the diet (which the bacteria require to grow) may be of benefit to AS patients. A test of this diet resulted in reduced symptoms and inflammation in patients with AS as well as IgA levels in individuals with and without AS.[26]

Stack agmatine and DL-Phenylalanine. Agmatine increases the pain threshold and the D form of phenylalanine prevents the breakdown of the body's natural pain-killers.

he gets prescription drugs for pain, i don't think agamtine is going to work. thanks for the suggestion though

Hahaha... agmatine and DL-phenylalanine are 2 well known, studied compounds for pain. DLPA has been effective in trials for treatment of pain medication withdrawal.

You were thinking high dose cissus and Powerfull over my suggestion? ;) Not to say that what I say is the best (well in most cases maybe, haha!) but I think you underestimate the 2. I also think you should read up and educate yourself before you knock it.

i said cissus because of reducing inflamation which would get rid of the cause of the pain not just cover it up. and powerfull because he doesn't sleep all that well and getting older could use the test and GH boost

how much of each should he take then? agmatine i see nutra has 25grams in bulk and i can jsut go to vitamin world and get the dl-phenalalanine. also is this something that is going to work right away or take some time to build up in the system.

man blue print is a gram of agamtine a day and the bulk powder is 500mg to a gram a day. just didn't know if there was any more benefit to taking higher doses for pain management.

Yup I was thinking right, I'm pretty sure over 3g is very excessive for agmatine. I have yet to see studies saying more than 1g does anything bettr.

instead of regular zma you can look into zmk which is a full profile of minerals needed by the body as opposed to just zinc and magnesium.

Im not sure if you said earlier, but is he already taking fish oils? That along with some active enzymes will help to lubricate the joints a bit (oils) and keep him a little less sore (enzymes). Make sure that he is taking in enough protein as well. AutoImmune disease fights off the bodies proteins...so he will need more than the average person to retaliate.

For autoimmune disease, hormones have had effects on the person's well being in some cases as the body attacks it's own cells in a sort of uprising. I'm not sure what way that would lend your thought though. Maybe a Test booster would help...and at the same time, it may hurt. I would consult a physician before trying that theory.

I thought I posted here last night? Damn.

Yeah, 1 gram agmatine in the morning on an empty stomach and maybe 750mg to 1 gram of DLPA 2x per day on an empty stomach.

i tried getting him to take adam multi's which is basically zmk. he's one of those stubborn older guys who thinks it's just old age and there isn't anything that can be done. and he's fine i guess with taking the percocet and his new found morhpine pills apparently but i figured i'd look for some suggestions. cause he gets some withdraw symptoms if he doesn't take the meds for a few days.
