Looking for some recommendations on protein and carb / protein bars. I like to have these in my desk at work for a midday snack - along with oatmeal / nuts... Just to keep things interesting.
My requirements would be at LEAST 20 grams of protein, and carbs coming from complex sources - I don't mind some sugar... but would prefer sweeteners. Oh, and I like for them to taste good.
Here's some of the ones I've eaten in the past...
Promax - These taste great 20g of protein, but sweetened with High Fructose Corn syrup, which I avoid like the plague. Cookies and Cream, Peanut Butter, and Black Forest are all awesome.
Detour Protein Bar - Lots of protein, but straight nasty.
Met-Rx Pure Protein Bar - Lots of protein (about 30), Sugar alcohols for sweetner (little if any net carbs), great taste (I like carmel peanut and double chocolate)...
Cliffs Bars - Awesome taste - not enough protein...
