Initial Golden Finish thoughts: First postworkout I have ever tried that effectively masked the leucine taste well. This stuff is really delicious. About 5 minutes after downing it, I could feel a fullness in my muscles that was very nice, I will mention that I did add 30g dex to this. Also, my "postworkout crash" today wasn't AS bad. Was def. there like always but, I still feel pretty good.

So I am pleased thus far...lets see what happens...

Squat:
245x8 ~ Cross-Set(1.5 min rest) ~ 355x2

Leg Press: ( Heels very high with feet apart 18 inches )
12 plates: x30 --- RP @ 13 -- 22 -- 26

All rest pause were no longer than 30 seconds.

Weights moved around very good today, legs are feeling like they got hit by a train though. Was happy with the squat numbers, I think my fresh 1RM on squats is around 475 atm, which is good considering my weight.

Golden Finish Thoughts:

I am really enjoying the fullness I am getting postworkout. Also the taste has been VERY suprising considering the profile, of course CL has always had a knack for producing incredible taste with their supps.

Still too early to notice Body Comp changes as related to my previous postworkout which was 60g Dex/40g WPI. Enjoying it a lot so far.

Mmmk, Thoughts so far....


Taste: 9/10
This has been very pleasant thus far. Trying to get your general postworkout ingredients into a mix is generally easy to do, but the taste once you get done is horrific. This, not so much. To me it tastes like Lemon/Pina Colada which is fine by me. Really no bitterness that is often acquainted to postworkout mixes. Something to remember, if it is too bitter --- just add more water to perfection :thumbsup:

Other things I notice about the product are coming, I just feel like I can already give this aspect a full and fair assessment. So far so good :D

---Still really enjoying Golden Finish, the taste is soo pleasant, and after a long grueling workout where I am already nauseous the last thing I need is something disgusting to chug down. I can tell my recovery has been a lot better. DOMS has gone down a lot lately, I probably can't attribute all of that to GF, but that is the only thing that has changed. :D

I can't describe how much the crossets take out of you, its crrrrrrrazy kay? k... So yeh, pretty good workout today, decided to play around with tempo's a tad to incorporate a little more hypertrophy, but I think it did more harm than good.

All in all workout was really good I was in a hurry so my rest times were all very short for the ones I didn't list. Numbers don't look too swell, but understanding how hard those 30 rep sets are....I am happy.

Squats: My squats are stuck, and its because my quads are so far behind my glutes/hams ---> my knees buckle inward in the hole. So I am moving to front squats as my first exercise for the next 3 weeks or so.

Dose = 3 scoops post-workout. I have consistently noticed that lack of the postworkout crash that I often get with my mix. Hmm, but anyways that is a good thing and I am enjoying this stuff very very much. I really have noticed lower DOMS, and GF is the only thing that has changed with my regimen, so I will have to attribute it to that.

Still tasting great, the trick is to put enough water in it, then it is ALMOST good enough to drink just as a drink....very good.

Recovery: Has been noticeably better since the start of this log which is great. Increased recovery is a HUGE help. DOMS has been way down which is very exciting. I love the leucine addition in GF I guess I need to always make sure to keep that in my PWO formula bc I can notice the difference.

Got a couple more days left on Golden Finish, but I have fully enjoyed myself while testing it. Its very good stuff. Nice and simple and to the point, but has everything you need to hit your muscles immediately postworkout. And depending upon goals you MIGHT want to add more carbs to create more of an insulin spike, but that is goal dependant. My final review will be up in a couple days.

Good to hear you are still liking it. Have you tried adding anythign else to it? Some have tried adding Vanilla whey to it and enjoyed the taste even more. Looking forward to the final review!

Man nice presses but tough on the shoulders having to go back like that.

Mmmmk! So I am officially done with the 16 week program, and it feels really perfect. I am feeling a bit overtrained right now, so I am toning down my volume and increasing my rep ranges for a few weeks. Will still give it all I have, but increase rest times and only lift probably 3-4x per week.

Want to give a HUGE public thank-you to PH48 for helpin me out for the last 16 weeks. My respect for the guy has grown a lot the more I see his contribution to this board and others. Great guy. Thanks bro.

Felt really good today. Everything just kinda went up. The lighter volume felt nice, rest b/w sets was right at 2 minutes till tri's, then it was around 1 min. I haven't taken this much rest b/w sets in 16 weeks..:D

Final Review for Golden Finish!!


Taste: 8/10 This was probably the most impressive of all of them with this product. Of course what did I expect from CL:lol:? Masking all of those disgusting ingredients and producing a good taste in the end is not an easy task, but these guys did it VERY well. To me it tastes like Pinapple/Citrus.

Recovery: 8/10 Another solid aspect here. I noticed increased recovery while adding this to my post-workout stash. Pretty impressive because I had a solid setup. DOMS was way down, that was this biggest noticed effect.

Other thoughts: Noticed much less of a postworkout crash with GF...even with added and subtracted carbs. Can't explain totally why, but it was there...and a very welcomed effect :D

Would definitely buy this product if your looking for a very solid, all-you-need postworkout product. I will definitely consider this in every "Nutra" order that I am to place in the future.
