This stuff works remarkably well as a replacement in recipes for butter or oil. It's a gel made from fiber that imparts the taste and texture of fat in foods it is used in.

I experimented with using 50/50 Z-Trim and Enova (DAG) oil with some low-carb cookie and brownie mixes from Big Train. They tasted great. I think you could increase the ratio of Z-Trim to oil to reduce the fat content even more, without adversely impacting the quality. (You could give the brownies to any shlub on the street and they would have no idea they were relatively healthy.)

I know I read about this stuff years ago, yet it still hasn't really caught on in the fitness community as far as I can tell. My online source recently stopped carrying it, so I thought I'd post my review to bring deserved attention to this product.
