Chuck has been nice enough to send me trib test extreme and ready 4 war to log.


I will not be taking any supplements other than swell/poseidon (which I have been taking for over 8 weeks now). I recently finished a log of drive and RPM. This log should be able to provide a nice comparison of the products.

GOALS

Add some pounds to my squat. I will test my squat tonight, and then at the end of the log.



Current stats as of today
(what I will use to gauge effectiveness)

Standard supplement dosing:

I will be following the label directions.

3 Trib test extreme per day, taken 1 at a time over the course of the day.
3 Ready 4war , 45 minutes pre-workout (build up to this, starting with 1 on the first day).

My background

I'm an average joe. I do office work every day, enjoy cheat foods and beer. Just trying to be healthy and look and feel good. I have been back in the game consistently for 6 months now at least.


expectations:

Don't really have any. I haven't read much about these products, although I did look carefully into what the ingredients are all about. Diesel nutrition seems to have a good rep so I hope for some good results.

I took 1 R4W at 5 15, but it took me a while to leave for the gym. I was feeling alert but not overly stim'd, so I took another 1 at 6 15 and headed off to the gym.

I didn't take my morning trib test extreme today, as I didn't realize I was going to be starting log until the afternoon.

Overall feelings:


Wow, great energy and intensity. It was definitely more of a jittery energy than RPM, but it wasn't distracting from the workout (at 2 caps). I'm still very hyper right now, and worried about sleep tonight, but hopefully some abyss will knock me out.

One of the better workouts I have had in a while.

Interested as I find it to be the opposite. I feel R4W is less jittery than RPM. I guess things just effect people differently.

how many RPM's did you use to take?
2-4 depending on the day. If I wasn't taking drive, I would take 3 usually. If I was taking drive with it, then I would normally take 2 although I wasn't getting overly intense workouts on 2.


My concerns about sleep were valid, but after 7 abyss I fell asleep at a reasonable time (took 4, didn't fall asleep, got up and took 3 more and was out pretty fast). Feel good this morning, no grogginess and I haven't had any coffee yet.

Overall feelings:


My stomach wasn't empty when I took the R4W, and it definitely took a little longer to hit me. I noticed halfway through my workout that my hands were shaking :lol:

So I definitely got slightly jittery, but concentration was still good and I got through the workout fairly strong. So far there doesn't seem to be any excess aggression like I would get with RPM. That is both a good and a bad thing (I don't like being angry, but it did help with workouts).

weight/reps dropped just slightly from my last workout. This could be due to the fact I was on creatine at the time of my last workout.


I could swear I look leaner already. I know this is basically impossible, but that's how I feel. This is on top of the fact I ate cheese potato noodles last night with beer (can it get any worse?). I guess all I can say at this point is if it is actually occurring, that the difference at the end of this log will be very good.

Well I had leaned up some, I've dropped 1/8" off my waist since last measurement. Thats after partying all weekend with friends from florida, and a bad diet. Can't beat that:wtf:

Also, my waist had plateaued at 35" for weeks now.

I said what the hell today and took 3 R4W preworkout, even though 2 was pretty strong. For some reason I didn't get the jitters at all. I simply had a really kickass workout (although it is a fun day, and its a short day). :nutkick:

I thought I might be looking pumped in the gym today. My muscles do feel pretty full right now. I know thats not the design of the supplements, but just thought I'd note it. My arm measurement is still the same though.

Overall feelings:

I had to go to the gym during lunch today, being that my family is in town.

Popped the R4W at my desk and noticed I was starting to shake as it was getting time for the gym. So I get the jitters if I'm just sitting, but it seems once I hit the gym they disappear. In fact, it is kind of hard to type right now.


Intensity was solid. Strength was about the same.

Muscle hardness is still good.


Libido is higher than normal, but not insane today. This weekend, my morning salute would just not go away. It seems the day after a workout day (when I take R4W) is more intense, but I'll continue to log and see what happens.

Overall feelings:

Since it was another lunch workout day, I took 2 R4W instead of the 3 I took yesterday (as I still had my morning coffee). No real identifiable intensity from it, I could have handled 3 today. The workout was still good, I ripped through it pretty fast. I might have seen a small increase in strength, but my endurance took a drop. A give and take today, it was nothing drastic in either direction though.

I still feel like I'm leaning out. Its thanksgiving holiday week going on, so I'm really just having fun and letting my diet go, but I still feel leaner. I might have to let pictures decide if I'm delusional or not. I'll post them at the end of the log.

Oddly my libido has really dropped. I had a spike for 2 days or so, and now its normal it seems.

Muscle hardness has been consistently higher.

Not a lot else to comment on still.

due to my mild back injury, I could not do heavy squats today per the standard w/o.

I did Leg press instead, DB squats, and some light SL deadlift.

Overall feelings:

energy: I was actually really jittery today. My heart rate was too high, and it was slightly uncomfortable. It didn't help that the gym was hotter than usual. The interesting side to this is I was tired all day, no amount of coffee or tea could help. R4W definitely woke me up and gave me the energy for the gym, just for some reason I was pushed a little over the edge. There does seem to be a delicate balance with R4W, it is potent stuff.

Otherwise it was a good workout, even though I had to work around my back issue.

bodyfat: I think I have still leaned out, even with the gain in weight. I'm really curious to see the photos at the end, to see if I'm right or not. My diet has definitely not been great during the holiday.

Strength: No strength comparison for todays workout, since it was abnormal.

Sides: I have gotten some mild bacne, which is not something I'm prone to (I am prone to face acne).

muscle hardness: has continued to be very good during the whole run. Vascularity might have increased slightly, but nothing insane (my BF is too high for true vascularity anyways).

Overall feelings:

Workout was awesome today. Great energy and focus, no problems with heart rate or jitters. Very pleased. One of those days where you could workout for hours.

Everything went up in weight as well, although this is a "for reps" day, which means my endurance is going up. I just wish I could get some pounds on the big lifts...

Tomorrow will be my last workout for this log. I'll take measurements and pictures, and post my final review this weekend.

people dont comment on GET DIESEL logs for 3 reasons:

1) They are not "fadish"

2) People know they work

3) Packaging doesnt glow in the dark ie not sexy enough.

Wow, another awesome day :duel:

No sides, no issues, just pure energy and drive.


My lifts went up across the board today! My high reps numbers are climbing fast, my low rep bench didn't add weight, but added a rep, which is significant for me considering I haven't had any gains in a month or more.

Today (saturday) is an off day, but I'm so stoked about this weeks workouts, that I feel like hitting up the gym again. I might try out a crossfit training day on saturdays, I don't think it will hit my CNS too hard, although 5 days in the gym is a little much. Review:

overall feelings:
This stack really seemed to kick in for me in the last week. I started picking up reps everywhere, and started feeling really good about my workouts. I started doing extra exercises and even going an extra day this week because I felt so great :woohoo:


The week during thanksgiving saw some poor nutrition and dedication from me, including extra beer consumption. I think thats part of why it didn't really pick up until the last week. What I would like to point out is that in spite of that down week, I feel I had a nice recomp occur (well at least I didn't get any fatter). You can't beat that.



Muscle hardness:
9/10 Most consistent thing I noticed the whole log was a definite increase in muscle hardness.

Pump/fullness:
1/10 No real pump to speak of.


Strength/endurance: 7/10 Nothing huge on the strength side, but I did see a small increase in my bench. I did not see an increase in strength while on drive, although circumstances were different. Endurance/high rep numbers went up significantly. I was pretty lazy about cardio, so I can't say anything in that respect. I ride my longboard to work most days and consider that enough usually.



Effects on body composition: See pictures, keeping in mind my bad diet for a large part of the log.


Other effects: I had a breakout of bacne, which is in no way standard for me. In fact I've never had bacne save maybe one or two pimples in my life, so this wasn't coincidence. Of course my regular acne was increased as well, which sucked, but I've learned to deal with that by now.


Libido was very high, but it didn't seem consistently high. It seems that R4W is a part of the boosting effect, so it would go up on the days after working out.



Energy/Intensity: R4W is strong! I Had a little bit of trouble finding the proper dose for me. I bumped it up to 3 caps early on, when 2 caps was giving me solid energy. I would get jittery and have a racing heart to the point where it effected my workouts, this was especially true when I wasn't paying attention and drank a caffeinated beverage too close to dosing.

However, once I grew accustomed to the dosing, my workouts really turned around. The last week of this log went GREAT! I am really happy with R4W. I think if I had stayed with 2 caps for a longer, I could have avoided any issues.


Thermo property: Since winter just hit, the heat has been up a little bit in the gym, so I had trouble discerning what was causing my raise in body temperature. But I consistently felt warmer and produced more sweat, so it seems R4W had an impact.



Comparison to RPM/Drive: If you held a gun to my head, I think I would choose the diesel nutrition stack.

I think particularly I would choose R4W over RPM because it seemed to have more effects for me besides just energy in the gym (libido and recomp effects...I think I like yohimbine). RPM did give more aggression and focus though, and might be a healthier choice considering the effects yohimbine has on blood pressure.

Both stacks were completely worthwhile though, and you won't catch me on the boards arguing against one or the other.
