Background Info :
I've been lifting since I was 19.Spent 5yrs powerlifting and in the last couple of years have got back into riding motocross bikes.
Last year I had a big crash and fractured my radius(right elbow).I used USP cissus to aid my recovery and was very impressed with the results.
4 weeks ago I had another high speed crash and injured the same elbow. So I have decided to log my supercissus use in my recovery from this injury.

Medical treatment has been physio 3 times a week and acupuncture for some nerve damage in the elbow & shoulder. No anti-inflammatory medication.

Since this injury I have been unable to do any chest pressing exercises. And limited shoulder presses. Also very minimal arm training.

Supplements :
Fish Oil 4g/d
Taurine 5g/d
Vitamin C 2g/d
Whey protein
Zinc 30mg/d
Magnesium 600mg/d

Dosage :
Have started the supercissus at 4 caps a day and will run at this for a week then maybe up the dosage a bit depending on any results.

Training :
Monday - Chest + Arms
Wednesday - Legs + Calves
Friday - Back + Arms
Saturday - Shoulders + Legs(only if not riding on sunday)

Any feedback most welcome.:)

Friday's Training :
Tonite was back & arms. This is my 3rd day on the cissus and already I've noticed a real improvement in the amount of pain and discomfort felt when training.

Completed a good solid back workout and also was able to give my biceps & triceps some much needed attention.Strenght wasn't great but being able to train with minimal pain in the elbow sure helps.

I am aware that cissus does have a pain killing effect so I'm being cautious about placing any undue stress on my elbow. But in saying that Sunday is riding day and the call of man+machine vs nature sure is a strong one. :D

You need to read those pubmed studies on glutamine Vince.

I don't always use this training program.Tend to change it every 4 to 6 weeks. For me I find that training arms twice a week gives better results.I don't do alot of sets and really like supersetting biceps & triceps.
For legs it usually is only once a week but every 2nd week I swap squats and deadlifts.Doing some extra quad exercises on a sat in DL week.

Thanks for the support.

Saturdays Training :
This mornings workout was light shoulders & light legs.
Forgot to mention that on wed night I did train shoulders but because I not lifting with the intensity and amount of weight I normally do so I'm training some body parts twice a week.

Pain and discomfort in my elbow & shoulder continue to improve. But the real test will come monday when I train chest.By then I would have been on the supercissus 6 days. But so far it's been all positive and I would say that compared to the old USP cissus this newer stuff has been gold.

Thanks guys.

Sunday :
This was going to be riding day.:woohoo:
Time for some crusty demons ( well maybe just crusty and very little demon ) , anyway but as luck would have it the gods were against me or was that my wife ?.Easy to confuse the two.End result , no riding today. :nono:

Monday's Training :
Tonight was chest & arms.
I tried some bench presses but found these fairly painful. Both in the elbow & shoulder.Started thinking the worst.
Moved on to decline DB presses. These I could do.Managed a couple of sets with the 90lbs.This is about 40lbs less than what I normally lift but considering I haven't trained chest in 4-5 weeks this was dam pleasing. Also managed to complete some chest dips.
Arms continue to improve in strength and also tonight I noticed a nice pump and most of all no real pain.Iced my elbow when I finished training as well.

So after 6 days on the supercissus at 4/day I'm very pleased to finally be able to resume training chest and also starting to notice the cissus pump.

Hey tbs, have you ran the old formula before if so at what dosage? Just seeing if you could do some comparisions on the two.

Godspeed on your recovery! I'll be following too! :D

I have some tendonitis in my elbow that I will eventually be throwing a little SuperCissus at it! ;)

Hey tbs, have you ran the old formula before if so at what dosage? Just seeing if you could do some comparisions on the two.
I used the old USP cissus when I first fractured my elbow last year and was using 10 caps/d.Ran this for about 2-3 months and recovered fairly quickly.Had a break for about 2 months and then tried the the bulk cissus.I found that I had to use about 2-3 teaspoons a day before I saw any positive results. Not that cost effective.

So comparing the old cissus to the supercissus.Low dose old saw improved joint health and when increased to 8-10 a day saw the cissus pump happen.Supercissus at 4 a day is showing improved joint health and also starting to feel the cissus pump.
So from what I'm seeing the 10% extract still has healing properties and the anabolic properties.

Once you've established the performance level of the SuperCissus Rx(which looks like its doing a great job so far)
would you consider stacking with celadrin? Hope you heal up
quickly bro!
All the best

Thanks CL.
As far as celadrin goes to be honest I haven't looked into using it.In fact don't know much about it at all.So I'll be doing a search and checking it out.Cheers

Just some feedback on muscle soreness and cissus. After not training chest for 4-5 weeks and then finally hitting it on monday dam my chest was sore (the don't touch my chest or I'll cry kinda sore). So no joint pain but still deep muscle soreness.Which I'm thinking is what you want to see.
Someone please enlighten me if this is wrong. :type:

Wednesday's training :
Tonight was shoulders & calves.
I can report that I had a good shoulder workout with a increase in strength and nice pump.Managed more sets than last week due to the improvement seen in both the elbow and shoulder (won't be needing that extra shoulder workout this week).
Even my calf training felt good and strong.A good night for tsb at the gym.

I've now been using the supercissus for 8 days at 4caps/d and see no reason to change this dosage yet.

Friday's Training :
Last night was back and happy to report that I had a good solid workout.Nice pump and strength almost back to pre-accident levels.Elbow and shoulder felt good with only minimal discomfort.

So as you can see I'm very happy with the improvement seen since starting the supercissus. No point in logging every workout from here on so will update in another 10days. :)

Update time:

It's been well over 10 days since I last posted and I'm now on to my second bottle of supercissus.Training has continued to improve with only chest strength being less than normal. This was due to a rotor cuff injury whilst surf casting about 2 weeks ago.:trout: Went to the beach for a couple of days rest and tried to turn surf casting into an Olympic event.

Tonight was chest & arms and considering I rode my bike for nearly 4 hours yesterday the body wasn't sore enough not to train. But in saying that I did take it easy tonight ( not a young buck any more ).

Final conclusions about supercissus:
Did the supercissus give me the same results that regular USP cissus did? Yes - see my earlier posts.
Did I notice any increased effect in the super compared to the original? No - just took a lower dose to see the same positive results.
Did I experience any side effects from the supercissus? Yes - I seem to have developed alot more gas that normal ( the guys in the office can vouch for that ).
Would I use supercissus again? Yes - Without a doubt I will be getting some more supercissus .

Sad to hear that your gym is closing big mike.

But sometimes change can be a good thing.Change your training routine.....change your supplement regime......change your favorite porn site.......starting to get the idea mike.

And if the pain of change is to much to handle then try mega dosing the supercissus cause it has a great analgesic effect.

Not really sure why poison? But in my case it seems dose related.Since dropping back to 3caps a day the gut sure isn't as windy as before. :fart:

You got me started now b.

Found a study on ulcered rats which showed that cissus quadrangularis has significant antiulcer activity.
Cissus produces a significant reduction in basal gastric secretion and acidity.
So this might explain why some people experience more gas than usual.

Not gonna let it rest till I get to the "bottom" of this b. :gas:

Time for another quick update.

Easter monday I had another crash and burn on my bike.Wasn't a big crash but sure enough landed on that same right elbow and caused some more trauma.Unable to move my arm without alot of pain for a couple of days.
Increased the supercissus back up to 4 caps/day and have seen a steady improvement all week.Even managed some light upper body workouts.

So training has dropped back somewhat. But I'm scheduled for keyhole surgery in a couple of weeks to remove the bone chip in my elbow which has been causing most of the problems.Plan on giving the primaforce cissus a run after my op. so I can compare it to USP.
So the log is pretty much over.

Nice review of the SuperCissus. :)

Looks like you getting the full benefits from it.... Except for the Gas... :)

I've used cissus products before but none as good as the SuperCissus.

Nice to see it helps with the recovery from the acident mate.

Thanks Mick.
Cissus has sure become a core supplement for me. Now I've had my op hopefully it won't take long before I can get my training back on track.

I'm currently using Primaforce cissus and it seems to stack up well compared to the supercissus. Both are good products.

geez tsb, u running with primaforce cissus this time around, be interesting to get your opinion on how it stacks up against super cissus, you're becoming quite the authority on cissus esp with your injury and post operation recovery, good to see u putting in the real time yards and not solely relying on pubmed studies

keep up the great log
