I'm not sure if you're asking if you need a protein supplement or just to consume protein in general, but as long as you're getting enough protein through your diet, you do not need a protein supplement. However, even though the Purple Wraath is an amino acid supplement, it does not mean that there is enough protein(amino acids) in it to be considered a substitute for normal protein intake.
