I switch between weights and bodyweight exercises and calisthenics. I usually do two weeks a weights then one week of body/cali and then two weeks of weights.
Works pretty well.

I train for martial arts -- To-Shin-Do (Stephen Hayes style based on Haatsumi's Ninpo ) so its mainly compound exercises and a lot of stretching.
