Omega Sports Thunder™ & Lightning™ Log - by johnfaceman

Intro

This is my first log, so I would like to thanks Matt for letting me get started with these supplements. Please feel free to make any suggestions because I know I have plenty to learn.

I am 20 years old and have been lifting for about 5 years, but three more seriously. I am not in any way trying to compete. I just do this for myself. I was 250 pounds in Middle School, lost 90 going down to 160 in High School where I wrestled, ran cross country, played baseball, and track. Since I began lifting I have increased my weight some 30 pounds. My goal is to reach 200 at 10 % bf.

Ok so I didnt get a chance to post this last night, but I took 8 caps of Lightning 45 minutes before lifting, and 8 Thunder 30 minutes prior.

It was my leg day. Overall I had strength gains, but that has been consistent due to the fact that I just recently started working out legs every week.

The first thing I noticed today was the pumps in my forearms. I tend to get this often, but today seemed to be a bit more exagerated. Later on in the workout I felt quite good pumps in my calves. These pumps reminded me of my 2nd and 3rd week of GB.

Other then that there was not anything too noticeable. It was only the first day.

Today I will be working out chest so I will do an update soon.

Thanks Custom!

Today was indeed chest day. Chest is the one muscle group that simply does not want to grow for me. I finally made it up to 235 twice on flat bench this past week, and I hit it three times today. Did't really notice any significant pumps in my chest.

My legs are pretty sore, a little more then ussual. This may simply be due to the fact that I had a pretty good leg workout yesterday. I noticed that the veins in my arms were pretty ridiculous. I like the fact that my forearms are getting such good pumps!

In terms of energy... I really was not feeling great throughout the day, but still had a pretty incredible workout with damn good energy and focus. I am a happy camper with this stack so far.

Best of luck man. I'll be following this to see what kinds of strength gains you get along the way. I think you'll have no problem adding those 6 lbs.

Today will be my third day of testing lightning (I took 8 caps as soon as I got home and found the package). The energy is very easy to attribute to the Lightning. I have noticed that more than anything so far.

Arms today. I now know what pumps mean. My bis blew up after 2 DB curl sets. Its something I have to get used to. I got 2-4 extra reps on all my normal weights in all of my lifts, but this isn't unbelievably surprising because my arms just recently started to strengthen consistantly.

My shoulders were hit pretty hard today, but nothing out of the ordinary.

My tris were very similar to my bis. Increase by 4 reps on my max sets, and pretty damn good pumps.

My forearms are destroyed. I increased in weight and reps, and totaly killed them. The pumps almost hurt.

Focus was normal as was energy. I dont respond remarkably well to caffein so eh...

Overall very happy with this workout.

Updating for Fridays back and todays leg workouts.

For back I started out with pullups and quickly got fatigued mostly because I was doing sets of 15. In the past I did sets of 10. The thing is, the rest of my workouts remained the same even with the increase in the pullups, so this was an improvement. The rows were 5 pounds better.

In terms of energy. It was easily on par with the past posts. Good energy and good focus.

For my legs, I had almost the exact same experience as my post for this past monday, with the exception that I was lagging a little. I took a little more time in between sets due to my energy just being down.

Ok so yesterdays leg workout was the best yet. I once again increased in hamstrings by 5 pounds thighs and calves by 10 and put 20 more on my squat. Very very pleased. The energy was simply put outstanding. I just had a great day yesterday all around.

Im starting to get used to the pumps and noticing it less as I go along.

Now for the great news: I got on the scale and I am up to 196. Four more to go!

Very impressive so far. I am actually a bit surprised at the comments on energy levels...this is being reported by most and something I did not forsee.

That it is... and is why I am so happy! I thought it would take me till the end of this summer to reach 200 but I am cruising right now.

To Custom: I took quite a break from stims prior to this log which may attribute to the energy, but I am loving it.

As an update for yesterdays, I hit 245 4 times on chest :woohoo: . I even celebrated I was so excited. Another outstanding workout. I am very rapidly realizing this isn't placebo results. Pumps were up there, and energy was good. Unfortunately my shoulder was in a bit of pain (probably due to baseball on monday) or else I dont think I could have been stopped the way I was feeling yesterday.

On another note, I saw a girl I have not seen since High School. The first word out of her mouth was WOW! :jaw:

I don't think that is the reason (stopping the stims), I have felt great when I take the Lightning. Energy is very good. Do you ever get sinus headaches/stuffy ears when you take your Lightning? I have noticed that a bit more lately, perhaps due to increased NO. I haven't taken my Lightning in 2 days thanks to a stomach bug. Will tomorrow though.

I have had a bit of sinus pressure, not exactly headaches. I get this pretty often around this year but realized when you asked that it did start very recently. Could this be a link?

Pretty positive, guess we will find out tomorrow and the days to follow since I had to stop taking it for 2 1/2 days.

I had the same effect when I took Cialis once, but I have bad sinuses anyways.

Was the 245 on chest a PR for you?
Yes this is the first time I have been able to rep up to 245. I was stuck at 225 for wayyy to long and am finally getting over the hump!

Hey guys. Sorry for the delay in posts. I lost internet access over the weekend. Anyways I will do a quick update of the past couple of days.

Thursday 2-16-06:
This was my arm day. I was simply slacking all day. Def getting the allergies. On days like this I never feel like working out, but usually grudge my way through the workout. I wasn't feeling great in the gym, but was able to get through the session without to much trouble. I maintained my strength from last week, but didn't increase on anything. Hope this doesn't happen too often this season.

Friday 2-17-06:
Wew! I felt a lot better on friday. My back is feeling very strong. I began with the normal pullups and they simply felt easier. This was very nice. The rest of my workout was similar. I increased by 5 pounds on the majority of my workouts but they just seemed easier. The pumps were decent, and the energy was switched on :run: .

Saturday 2-18-06
I am continually making progress on my legs. I think it is seriously helping my other muscles as well. When I flex my legs I can easily feel the difference from a few months ago. Great pumps today. Good energy, and feeling very strong. This goes for todays (monday) workout as well.

They drive me nuts

Ok so chest day was excelent on tuesday. Strength is continually coming. I hit 245 4 a solid 4 times without the help of a spot, and 2 times with. I increased 25 pounds on both incline and decline from the beginning of this log (Im repping up to 185). Overall, I am feeling great.

Arms went great today as well. No increase in weight but felt a lot stronger on the weights I did. Pumps were wonderfull. Energy wasn't the best, but hey Im not complaining.

I figured out how I feel throughout this log. I feel like I am new to lifting again, just a lot stronger. What I mean is I am making the newbie gains I did back when I started, and its nice :woohoo: .

Oh on another note, appetite is up, so I am also eating more nowadays. Is anyone else logging feeling an increase in appetite?

Update:

Friday: Missed back day due to multiple tests.

Saturday and Monday (very similar in results): Legs went great again today. It was the first time I felt like I was on the verge of throwing up. Strangely I got quite dizzy after many of my sets. This may be what caused the nausea. I heard that this happens when you push your legs to the max. Pumps were only noticed in my calves. For Monday my strength went up 5 pounds from Saturday. I am almost to the point where there is not enough weight on most of the leg machines, and I may need to use the leg press a lot more so I can have seemingly unlimited weight.

Tuesday: Kind of a slow day today, but when I got to the gym I had a clean stream of energy, and made it through the workout strong. No weight increase for chest except in the incline. Everything else stayed at my personal best so I am happy.

I meant to mention this last week, but my recovery time seems to be improving. I don't know if I can attribute it to the stack. If anyone else doing a log is noticing this let me know.

Not by any means. Like I said earlier, my chest has always been a sticking point for me. I was at the same weight in incline and decline for a little over a year, and had very minimal gains prior to this log on flat in the past year. I am finally blowing through it, and that makes me happy :afro: .

Oh Custom, you may be happy to know I inspired my roomate (who is my workout partner) to purchase the stack. He is getting jealous that I am pulling so far away from him in strength. :nutkick:

Update: 3-2-06

Arm day today. Oh and what a great one it was. Shoulders werent amazing, but I more then made up for it with my bis. I can hardly move them today. It was one of those days where I had to force myself to stop :run: . Wish I could say the same for my shoulders, but I plan to switch it up and do shoulders first next week. The pumps were primarily in my forearms.

In terms of weight... Im 198 :hammer: . This was on a very empty stomach. Oh and I look a bit more vascular. I am happy.
