The guys at Athletic Xtreme were generous enough to send me a free 30 serving bottle of Supersize which I will be reviewing in this log. My goal during this log will be to get back some of the strength I have lost over the summer while doing my serious triathlon training. I’m not really looking to put on much size. I still have one triathlon left at the end of September.

Right now I weigh around 180 and 9% bodyfat. Other stats - 5'11'', 33 years old, been lifting seriously since college, compete 1-5 triathlons a year for the past 6 years. Best bodybuilding stat - 225x on bench for 22 reps.

For this log, I’ll be performing a Tabata style lifting program 5x a week, working each muscle group once a week. I will be doing 5-6 high intensity cardio sessions (swimming/biking/running) a week most of the time blocking them with my weights. Hopefully this stuff will work just as good for cardio as weights.

I'm coming off of a 2 week break from stimulants minus a day in there for a triathlon. So this stuff should hit me pretty good. Before, I would normally not take more than 300mg of caffeine over the course of a day. This means I won’t go over 2 scoops of SuperSize (150mg caffeine per scoop). I would say I'm middle of the road when it comes to being stim-tolerant. I've probably tried around 15-20 different PWOs now so I have a good idea of what I like. I'm more of a nootropics guy than a pump guy. I love a good PWO that brings out the inner BEAST in me! We’ll see how big of a beast SuperSize can turn me into!

Good morning ladies and gentlemen!! First day on SuperSize was great! As mentioned before I'm doing tabata-styled workouts. Every exercise has 8 sets. Each set lasts for 20 seconds, then 10 seconds rest. This makes each exercise last 4 minutes. The goal is to start experiencing muscle failure around the 6th set. 2-3 minutes of rest are in between each exercise. I'll be doing 3-6 exercises per muscle group. So let's get into the details of today. I woke up on my own feeling great at 6:45 on 8 hours of sleep. I was initially going to lift weights at lunch but given what time it was, I had enough time for a morning lift. 6:50 I jumped right into 1 heaping scoop of SuperSize. I supplemented it with 1g Beta-Alanine. The taste was a bit off. I don't know how to describe it, just weird. I've definitely tasted better blue razz supplements before. It definitely wasn't anything that would keep me from taking this supplement, I just didn't enjoy it like some. Shaking it in 8oz water vigorously for 10 seconds still left it gritty and some sediment left over. Another 2oz took care of the remaining sediment. Then I went and briskly spread some weed and feed on my lawn. I felt the energy rush start to kick after 10 minutes. 7:10 I drank a 25g whey shake with 7oz water. I had plenty to eat the night before so I didn't eat any preworkout carbs. The energy rush was very apparent after 30 minutes. I felt some decent rage and focus come over me at this point. 7:30 I started my chest/abs workout. Here were the exercises/weights.

BB bench 135 lbs - yes, over 8 sets 135 is very hard if you are lifting at a fast pace
Incline DB fly 25 lbs - need to move up to 30s next week
Incline DB bench 50 lbs
Push-ups
Lying DB pullover 50 lbs
Reverse crunch
Swiss ball crunch
Russian twist w/ 10 lbs - need to move up to 15 next week

The hard part on the first day is choosing the appropriate weight and then lifting at the right pace. I definitely went out too fast on bench. And on flys I used 30s on the last set. Other than that I was hitting muscle failure around the 6th set for each exercise. I did not count reps, just watched the clock. Intraworkout I sipped Controlled Labs Purple Wraath. Something that really caught my attention - after the first exercise, I experienced an extreme thirst even though I had drank 16-17oz water preworkout (no time to drink during your 8 sets). I haven't done tabata in a couple years so I can't say if the thirst came from the workout or SuperSize. I thought I would experience extreme pumps with SuperSize and tabata, but not so. With tabata, of course you are going to get a pump but I didn't experience any above average pump today. Maybe that will come with increased dosage. And maybe I needed a few preworkout carbs? SuperSize really shined today for performance. ZERO fatigue whatsoever. I found myself saying more than once "Am I even pushing myself?" when in fact I was hitting the desired muscle failures. I felt nicely stimulated and energized, nothing over the top, no cracked out feeling, no uncomfortable breathing/heart rate which I would have experienced had I taken a PWO with yohimbe. All-in-all I was very impressed with the effects that I experienced today on such a minimal dosage. Tomorrow it will be 1.5 scoops. I feel like my body can handle the extra stimulation and the rage will just be that much more!!!! Postworkout I thought my muscles would feel fuller. However I haven't lifted in 2 weeks (triathlons the past two weekends). So maybe it will take a little fill my muscles back up. 5.5 hours post-consumption and I'm experiencing zero crash, no jitters, while still remaining alert and energized.

So I weighed myself yesterday prerace and was down to 179. I hadn't weighed myself in a while and was a couple pounds lighter than I had expected. I'm not any more ripped than before so I must have lost some muscle. This changes my initial goal of this log from gaining minimal size to wanting to put a couple pounds back on. I don't want to be a string bean after my late September triathlon!

Definitely not too sweet. If anything it was way less sweet than most PWOs. There was no chalky taste like some. Top Secret Nutrition Cardio Igniter has a good Blue Raspberry flavor but with a chalky aftertaste. I think I remember Xtend having a pretty good Raspberry Blue flavor. I will try to swish it around in my mouth more tomorrow and write my thoughts down immediately. I was somewhat in a rush to get it down and tend to my lawn this morning.

Looking at Swolbraham's log, maybe it was just watered down. The taste is definitely not bad.

I didn't use much water for the few samples I received.
However, we are definitely looking for flavor feedback, so if it's a little watered down, we can make those adjustments for the first run.

Great AM leg lift this morning! Did not want to stop! I got 7 hours of sleep. 6:05 1.5 scoops SuperSize + 1g Beta-Alanine. I mixed it with 7oz water and took my time drinking it. So I definitely think the flavoring is very weak. I taste virtually no "blue" flavoring. I think I may be tasting a little tartness coming through. It's not anywhere close to what a good blue razz would taste like. I have a C4 Icy Blue Razz sample packet if you would like me to do some more taste comparisons. I can't say the same thing as Swolbraham about the smell. There is hardly any smell to my container. I had my wife smell it without telling her the flavor. She guessed cotton candy, her second guess was raspberry. Maybe I'll have her taste it sometime. My dose today was a little gritty again. Since I drank it slowly, there was less sediment left over. I felt it start to kick in after just 5 minutes. 6:25 25g whey shake + banana. 6:50 fire breathing through my nose, started a 47 min leg workout(yesterday's was 55 min).

Sumo deadlift 135 lbs
Lying feet on swiss ball weighted glute raise 10 lbs
Squats 135 lbs
DB lunges 30 lbs (did a couple extra longer sets, need to go up to 40s)
Standing calf raise holding 50 lb DB
Seated calf raise 100 lbs
Static wall squat 2 minutes

Sipped on Purple Wraath intraworkout. As I said before I did not want to stop. I added the wall squat at the end because I was feeling so good. I noticed my lower back really fatiguing on deadlifts, need to stay upright as possible. The calf raises burned really good today. 1.5 scoops treated really well today. Highly stimulated. Again, nothing over the top. I could probably go up in dosage, but I think I'll stick with 1.5 scoops for a few more workouts. Focus, rage, intensity, drive was all there today - loved it! My endurance is through the roof with SuperSize, recovery is outstanding. I remember tabata being a lot more taxing cardio wise. Maybe I need to lighten the weight a little and up the tempo. You'd think after 45-60 min of tabata lifting that I should be spent and covered in sweat, but I have been feeling relatively fresh at the end of my workouts so far. Either later this week or next week, I'll be adding in some HIIT cardio at the end of some workouts - we'll see how that goes.

I have some pretty intense DOMS today in my chest, abs AND triceps. When tris are sore the next day from a chest workout, you know you killed it. I now remember feeling how my tris were fatiguing during push-ups. I could already feel the DOMS start to set in at 6:00pm yesterday. I can tell my legs are going to be sore for a good 3-4 days.

The gritty part is most likely the creatine in the product.

Definitely let us know what the wife thinks!

I don't mind gritty, just something I observed.

I had another person smell. She was clueless and guessed strawberry just because I made her guess.

Tomorrow will be my next dose for some shoulders.

Another great am lift today on 7 hours of sleep! 5:15 1.5 scoops SuperSize, 1g Beta-Alanine. The flavor was definitely stronger here. I tasted the "blue" come through a tad bit. With a blind taste test, I'm still not sure you would be able to tell it was Blue Raspberry. I felt it kick in after just 10 minutes. 5:35 25g whey, 1/4 cup raisins. 6:00 started a 44 minute shoulder workout:

DB shoulder press 35
BB upright row 65
DB Lateral raise 15
DB Reverse fly 15
BB shrug 135
DB shrug 50
Giant set finisher - all with 20 lb DB
Reverse fly
Lateral raise
Front raise
Shoulder press - almost got 40 reps, will up the weight just for this exercise next week

I sipped on 1 scoop Purple Wraath intraworkout. I went on the lighter side today so I could up the tempo. This turned out to desirable for me. I really felt the burn with most exercises. The pump was really good. I definitely sweated more than the previous workouts. I am amazed at how clean the energy is from 1.5 scoops - 225mg of caffeine is a lot. Once again the endurance was through the roof, I can't emphasize this enough. I did not want to stop. And here's where I was really happy with SuperSize - I tacked on a 30 minute steady state run after weights (ended up being 3.2 miles). I would have done it HIIT style but I'm still ridiculously sore from leg day, that would have been asking for an injury. I had great euphoria during the run. Even though my legs were hurting, I had plenty of desire to run. I could have easily upped the tempo but I didn't want to risk injury. 6.5 hours later and I'm still alert, engerized, feeling great. No crash. I can already tell traps are going to be really sore tomorrow. Muscles are already looking fuller after a 2 week lifting break and with SuperSize creatine in my diet.

Another great am workout yesterday on 7 hours sleep. 7:00 1.5 scoops SuperSize, 1g Beta-Alanine. I mixed it with 5oz water. The flavor strength seems to be about right here. But I don't think it takes like a good Blue Raspberry yet. 7:20 25g whey, 2 mandarin oranges. 7:45 started a 50 min bi/tri/forearm lift:

Lying EZ curl bar tricep press 55 lbs
Bench dips 10 lbs (started out with 25 lb plate, quickly down went to 10)
DB kickbacks 10 lbs (not sure I like these, I feel like my back works hard just stabilizing since arms are repping at same time, may do close grip bench next time)
BB Curl 55 lbs
DB incline curl 20 lbs
EZ curl bar preacher curls 45 lbs
Behind back BB wrist curls 45 lbs
DB reverse wrist curls 5 lbs - go up to 10 next week

I sipped on Purple Wraath as usual. I thought I'd get a better pump in my tris but I had a ridiculous pump in my bis. My experience with SuperSize was all the same, really enjoyed it again. I did a 30 minute HIIT cardio session after weights - biked. 5 min warm up, 10 x 1 min sprint 1 min easy, 5 min cool down, . I was up out of the saddle using hard gears. I felt invincible while biking, great cardio session. I had one of the biggest leg pumps ever, thighs felt enormous, engorged with blood. Good energy the rest of the day. Loving it!

Biceps are still ridiculously sore.

Murdered my am workout today! 6:10 1.5 scoops SuperSize, 1g Beta-Alanine, 1g Taurine. Mixed it with 5oz water again. I like the flavor strength here. It definitely tastes fruity here, minimal blue flavoring. 6:30 25g whey, no additional carbs. I had a huge dinner last night. 6:50 started a 48 minute chest/ab workout.

BB bench 135 lbs
Incline DB fly 30 lbs - probably can even go up to 35s next week, you can't really have a fast tempo with this exercise
Incline DB bench 50 lbs
Push-ups
Lying DB pullover 50 lbs - need to pick up the pace on the first couple sets
Reverse crunch
Swiss ball crunch
Russian twist w/ 10 lbs - used 15 for the first 2 sets, went back down to 10 and really cranked up the tempo

Sipped on Purple Wraath intraworkout. As I said before, great workout. I really found a good tempo with most exercises, sweated more than last week which I enjoyed. For some reason today, I was just feeling really good from the get-go. Good amount of rage. Insane endurance as usual. After weights it was another 31 minute HIIT cardio session, running - 5 minute warmup, 16x 30 sec sprint 45 sec SLOW jog, 6 minute cool down (3.3 miles). I had intense euphoria during my warm-up, really feeling my music in my headphones. I was covered in sweat postworkout. It didn't help that it was basically 100% humidty outside. So another terrific workout!

Great workout this morning on 7.5 hours sleep. 6:20am 1 Scoop SuperSize, 1g Beta-Alanine, 1g Taurine, extra 100mg caffeine. I mixed it in 4oz water. Flavor strength was good here. 6:40 25g whey, 1/4 cup raisins. I didn't feel the initial super energy surge/drive/rage as before with just one scoop. 7:10 started a 57 minute leg workout:

Sumo deadlift 135 lbs - got my form down, going up in weight next week
Lying feet on swiss ball weighted glute raise 10 lbs - if you pick up the tempo, this f-ing BURNS
Squats 135 lbs - going up in weight next week
DB lunges 40 lbs
Standing calf raise holding 50 lb DB
Seated calf raise 100 lbs
Finisher
3x Static wall squat 60-105 sec
Mountain Climbers 1 minute, no rest

Sipped Purple Wraath intraworkout. I didn't have that balls to the wall feeling right off the bat, but halfway into my first exercise I got there. I like the increased weight for lunges. I found a good tempo and got a good sweat going here, legs were shaking after this exercise. The first 3 exercises it's hard to go fast. Extreme burn with the calves today. Then sh!+ got crazy with the finisher. I beat my legs into submission. All-in-all, great workout. I'll probably go up to 2 scoops end of the week. Cardio day tomorrow.

BOOM! Superb back workout this morning! 5:50am a little over 1.5 scoops SuperSize, 1g Beta-Alanine, 1g Taurine. I mixed it in 5oz water, flavor is very strong here. I'm noticing the "blue" flavoring more, however the berry flavor is really strong here. 6:10 25g whey, 1/4 cup raisins. 6:35 started 51 minute back/abs workout:

Wide-grip Chin-ups with straps
Reverse-grip BB bent over rows 90 lbs
Strength band straight arm pulldown
Strength band seated rows
Finisher - Wide-grip BB bent over rows drop set 95, 85, 75, 65, 45 lbs
Hip thrust
Swiss Ball oblique crunch
Strength band kneeling crunch

I've been working out at home, so I'm using strength bands in place of cable exercises. I sipped on Cellucor Alpha Amino intraworkout. It was a pretty ridiculous workout to say the least. I had a huge amount of rage/focus right from the get-go! It was on from the beginning. For chin-ups, I've never had my biceps burn for a back exercise as much as they did today. The pump was feeling great after the first exercise. I wish my back was supported for the reverse-grip rows. It sucks standing bent over holding weight for basically 4 minutes. Next time I'll try a belt. With the strength band exercises, you can really pick up the tempo and get a good burn going. I had great motivation to do one hell of a finisher. 3 hours later, my back still feels swole. After 51 minutes, I felt I just didn't do SuperSize justice and tacked on an unplanned 30 min LISS run (3.5 miles). Even though my legs were still sore from leg day, I had great euphoria and kept up a higher than expected pace. I'm not gonna lie, I thought I made a mistake during the first couple minutes going out for the run. But my legs loosen up eventually and it was all good. I know I sound like a broken record, but the endurance with SuperSize is off the charts - CAN'T STOP, WON'T STOP!

Saturday is arms, it'll be the weekend, so f$#k it, going up to TWO SCOOPS!

P.S. I appreciate the fact that there are no dyes in the powder - less chemicals going in my body. And who gives a sh!+ what it looks like.

So needless to say scoops was amazing! 6:30am two scoops SuperSize, 1g Beta-Alanine, 1g Taurine. Flavor was very strong mixed in 8oz water. 6:50 25g whey, 1/4 cup raisins. Really strong energy rush/ rage around 7:00. 7:15 started 45min arm workout:

Close grip bench press 90 lbs - switched out kickbacks, Close grip bench is better suited for tabata
Lying EZ curl bar tricep press 55 lbs
Bench dips 10 lbs (started out with 25 lb plate, quickly down went to 10)
BB Curl 55 lbs
DB incline curl 20 lbs
EZ curl bar preacher curls 45 lbs
Behind back BB wrist curls 45 lbs
DB reverse wrist curls 10 lbs

Sipped Purple Wraath. I definitely trained insane for this workout. I was pushing through every burn. After weights it was another 30 minute HIIT cardio session, running - 5 minute warmup, 16x 30 sec sprint 45 sec SLOW jog, 5 minute cool down (3.3 miles). I had some of the best euphoria I've ever had during this workout. I basically had a full body pump - of course arms, chest from close-grip bench, shoulders from cheating a little on curls, back and legs from sprinting, definitely blew up. I thought my fingers were going to be curled the rest of the day from my forearm pump. Each sprint interval seemed almost effortless. I remember thinking after the workout - "Did that just happen - Hell Yes!"

Good workout this morning, not outstanding. I got 7.5 hours sleep. 5:50am a little over 1.5 scoops SuperSize, 1g Beta-Alanine, 1g Taurine, 20mg extra caffeine. 6:10 25g whey, some pineapple and strawberries. 6:40 started 49 minute chest/abs workout:

BB bench 135 lbs - going up next week
Incline DB fly 35 lbs
Incline DB bench 50 lbs
Push-ups
Lying DB pullover 50 lbs
Reverse crunch
Swiss ball crunch
Russian twist w/ 10 lbs

I sipped on Alpha Amino intraworkout. I definitely had enough stimulation today. I didn't the mental edge like I did on Saturday. Most of it was just in my head I think because I was wanting 2 scoops instead of 1.5. So I kept thinking about that. Performance was really good. I had a great pump going after my flys, the increase to 35s was good. I picked up the pace on pullovers, it felt like my triceps were getting a better workout than my chest for pullovers. After weights it was another 30 minute HIIT cardio session, running - 5 minute warmup, 16x 30 sec sprint 45 sec SLOW jog, 5 minute cool down (3.2 miles). My performance and mental edge suffered during HIIT. My legs got tired quicker today. I didn't have the euphoria like before. Two hours later, I am a little tired. I'm going to chalk this up to my excessive drinking Saturday for my mom's 60th bday party and not having fully recovered. I'm going to get a really good night's sleep tonight and get the fire breathing again tomorrow!

Great leg workout today. 7:45am 3 eggs/heaping 1/2 cup raw oats/low fat cheese. 11:00 1.5 scoops SuperSize, 1g Beta-Alanine, 1g Taurine, 70mg extra caffeine. I was smiling ear to ear within 10 minutes feeling good. 11:20 25g whey, banana. 11:45 started 48 minute leg workout:

Sumo deadlift 145 lbs - still can go up in weight next week
Lying feet on swiss ball weighted glute raise 10 lbs
Squats 140 lbs - still going up in weight next week
DB lunges 40 lbs - headed up to 50s next week, don't own 45s
Standing calf raise holding 50 lb DB
Seated calf raise 100 lbs
Finisher
3x Static wall squat 60-90 sec
Mountain Climbers 1 minute, no rest

Sipped on Alpha Amino intraworkout. I got 8.5 hours of sleep last night, so my head was back in the game. I had the mental edge. I was surprised at how easy the deadlifts felt. My lower back just got really tired on the last set. I'm still amazed at how difficult glute raises can be. Lunges ought to be fun next week with 50s, I was able to go well past 20 seconds of reps on my last set today. I was able to really give it my all on the last set of mountain climbers. I absolutely love my finisher, great way to cap things off. There was no quit in me today, I just got a little hungry towards the end. Pretty good euphoria. Of course the endurance was insane. With this being my third week, I am pleased with my performance and progress.

Holycow! What a workout today! 7 hours sleep. 5:45am back up to TWO scoops SuperSize, 1g Beta-Alanine, 1g Taurine in 10oz water. Flavor was very strong. 6:05 25g whey, 1 serving pineapple. 6:30 started 45 minute shoulder workout:

DB shoulder press 35
BB upright row 65
DB Lateral raise 15 - 20s next week
DB Reverse fly 15
BB shrug 145 - 155 next week
DB shrug 50
Giant set finisher -
Reverse fly 20 lb DBs
Lateral raise 20 lb DBs
Front raise 20 lb DBs
Shoulder press 40 lb DBs

Sipped on Purple Wraath intraworkout. It was burn baby burn today. 2 scoops treated me just as good as last Saturday. I was pushing through all kinds of pain barriers and with that came a ridiculous pump. I even had a pump in my biceps from upright rows. Shoulders felt like 2 giant boulders after the workout. A few times I extended the last set to partial reps just because I was feeling that psycho today. I remember going completely apesh!+ on BB shrugs. The lift was followed by a high cadence 50 minute bike ride. I had set out go at a moderate pace but it ended up being mostly mod-hard pace because I was feeling so good. I did get really thirsty on the ride. I kept up a high cadence since my legs were still really sore from leg day. I experienced some of the best euphoria today during the ride, so much so that I might even try using this on cardio only days because it give me that much of a "feel good" feeling. For me 2 scoops SuperSize is the perfect combination of stimulation/focus/rage/euphoria which I've only experienced from 3-4 other PWOs.

I'd like to mention that I appreciate that SuperSize doesn't have any thermogenic effects. It seems like a lot of the new PWOs make you overly hot and increase your breathing too much. The energy I'm getting from SuperSize is intense but still smooth at the same time. I don't feel like I'm running around like a crazy person. Mentally I feel crazy to hit the weights but I'm not spazzing out.

BOOM! It was more of the same this morning - BURN and INSANITY! I got almost 8 hours of sleep so I was stoked from the get-go. 5:50am TWO scoops SuperSize, 1g Beta-Alanine, 1g Taurine. I mixed in 11oz water, flavor is still strong here. 6:05 25g whey, 2 mandarin oranges. 6:35 started bringing the pain with a 53 min bi/tri/forearm workout.

Close grip bench press 95 lbs
Lying EZ curl bar tricep press 60 lbs
Bench dips 10 lbs
BB Curl 65 lbs
DB incline curl 20 lbs
EZ curl bar preacher curls 50 lbs
Behind back BB wrist curls 50 lbs
DB reverse wrist curls 10 lbs

I sipped on Purple Wraath intraworkout. I had awesome euphoria the entire workout today. I felt like a man on a mission. To begin, I started off loading the bar with the same weight as last week for close grip. BUT Rob Zombie and SuperSize screamed at me to increase the weight. And believe me, you don't f&*k with Rob Zombie. So 95 lbs it was. And the increases continued.....tri press, bb curl, preachers, bb wrist curls. Even my conscience told me to go up in weight because I accidentally put on 10s instead of 5s for bb curls. So after bis, my arms felt like wet noodles. After the entire lift, forearms felt like numb rocks. There is no need for a finisher on this day. And since there was so much awesomeness in the air, I topped off the workout with a moderate pace 40 minute run (4.7 miles). My legs were still fairly sore from Tuesday's leg. So my mind and legs were at odds. For the most part, my mind won. It was humid as he!! outside, was drenched in sweat. Burnt a ton of calories this morning. Good thing I have a company dinner tonight where I'm pretty sure it's all you can eat :)

Great AM workout today. I got 8 hours of sleep - YES! 8:10am TWO scoops SuperSize, 1.5g Beta-Alanine, 1g Taurine mix in 9oz water, very strong flavor. It kicked in fast. I was quickly saying "Yes, Yes" looking forward to a good workout. 8:25 25g whey, 1 mandarin orange. 9:00 started 47 min chest/ab workout. Right before I started, I downed a small handful of Sprees.

BB bench 145 lbs
Incline DB fly 35 lbs
Incline DB bench 50 lbs
Push-ups
Lying DB pullover 50 lbs
Reverse crunch
Russian twist w/ 10 lbs
Swiss ball crunch

I had my two yr old daughter playing in the room next to me, so I never got that "put your head through a wall" mentality but it was still a really good workout nonetheless. I sipped on Alpha Amino intraworkout. I called myself out and upped the bench weight 10 lbs instead of just 5 lbs. Good decision, brought on some good pain the last couple sets with partial reps. I decreased rest time between exercises from 3 minutes to 1.5-2 minutes since Sunday is family day. This was no problem since you already know endurance and recovery is ridiculous with SuperSize. THEN came the 30 minute HIIT cardio session, running - 5 minute warmup, 16x 30 sec sprint 45 sec SLOW jog, 5 minute cool down (3.4 miles). I didn't have a good pair of legs underneath me today but SuperSize helped me keep my head in the game. Yesterday was a 1.5 hour moderate pace bike ride and my legs were still feeling the effects from it. The hardest part of the sprints was the end of each interval trying to slow down because I was pounding my thighs. And I need to mention it was 76 degrees, EXTREMELY humid and sunny. So I had everything working against me but I still stayed focused and attacked each interval with aggression! Finished with good euphoria and drenched with sweat. Another good day on SuperSize!

Really good back workout. It probably could have been better because I only got 6.5 hours of sleep, but that's the way life goes sometimes. Once SuperSize kicked in I didn't feel tired at all. But there is always that extra little something that was missing when you look back on the workout if you get a less than optimal amount of sleep. 5:50am TWO scoops Supersize, 1.5g Beta-Alanine. 6:05 27g whey, 1/4 cup raisins. 6:35 started 51 minute back/ab workout:

Wide-grip Chin-ups with straps
Reverse-grip BB bent over rows 90 lbs
Strength band straight arm pulldown
Strength band seated rows
Finisher - Wide-grip BB bent over rows drop set 95, 85, 75, 65, 45 lbs
Hip thrust
Swiss Ball oblique crunch - need to add some weight
Strength band kneeling crunch

I sipped on Alpha Amino intraworkout. I'm not making much progress on back probably because of exercise selection especially on BB rows - smaller muscles seem to give out first before my back but I'm doing what I can at home. I still am getting a good pump in back. It just hasn't been as sore as my other muscles. I know I still had good desire/endurance today because I found myself saying during hip thrusts "I hope that just wasn't the 7th set because that was too easy". It was in fact the 6th set. I definitely kicked butt during abs, need to add some weight to my oblique crunch and kneeling crunches seemed easy, probably could add a smaller band. No cardio today, had to get to work. It's probably a good thing too because I'm already feeling a little tired now. I'm not sure I would have enjoyed cardio today. Anyways, SuperSize did it's job today. Looking forward to a good night's sleep and a kicka$$ shoulder workout tomorrow!

Haha. I had someone else giving me sh!+ about the same thing when I was complaining about not enough sleep in a previous log. If I get 8 hours of sleep, man I am GOLDEN!

7.5 hours sleep last night. It was a take no prisoners kind of day today. I lifted ANGRY after yesterday's lift determined to have a blow it out the water workout today. And it turned out stellar! 5:50 TWO scoops SuperSize, 1.5g Beta-Alanine, 1g Taurine. 6:10 25g whey, 1/4 cup raisins. 6:35 started 45 minute shoulder workout:

DB shoulder press 35 lbs
BB upright row 65 lbs - going up next week
DB Lateral raise 20 lbs
DB Reverse fly 15 lbs
BB shrug 155 lbs - going up next week
DB shrug 50
Giant set finisher -
Reverse fly 20 lb DBs
Lateral raise 20 lb DBs
Front raise 20 lb DBs
Shoulder press 40 lb DBs
DB shrug 50 lbs

Sipped on Alpha Amino intraworkout. There was no pacing myself today. It was full blast right out of the gate. As a result, I was doing partial reps on the 5th set of shoulder press - killing myself on the first exercise. My shoulders got swole FAST. I had good performance on upright rows, enough so that I'm going up in weight next week. I went up in weight in BB shrugs this week and still want to go up again next week. I actually got a little scared of myself for the finisher because I knew I was going to push myself to the extreme. And extreme it was. I finished each finisher exercise with a couple partial reps. BURNED so good. I added DB shrugs to the finisher because I may have accidentally for BB shrugs only done 7 sets instead of the normal 8. I may keep them in there going forward just for the hell of it. No cardio this morning, had to get to work. There's a good chance I'm going for an easy swim later today.

Good swim yesterday afternoon - 2000 meters, 42 minutes. I was definitely feeling my traps and forearms the last 1/4 of the swim. Even though I didn't take anymore supplements, I had a nice energy boost from the swim after the afternoon lull. The first 5 minutes of cardio always sucks without any extra stimulants for me, but once you get going it's all good.

So for today, it was a GLORIOUS and RESTFUL 8 hours sleep. I wasn't planning on a morning workout but I got to bed at a decent hour and woke up refreshed at 5:50 so what the hell, let's do this! 6:00am TWO scoops SuperSize, 1.5g Beta-Alanine, 1g Taurine. The flavor is starting to grow on me. I would say it's good not great. I enjoy the taste more at 5-6oz water per scoop. 6:20 25g whey, 2 mandarin oranges. 6:45 started 51 minute bi/tri/forearm workout:

Close grip bench press 100 lbs
Lying EZ curl bar tricep press 60 lbs
Bench dips 10 lbs
BB Curl 70 lbs
DB incline curl 20 lbs
EZ curl bar preacher curls 50 lbs
Behind back BB wrist curls 55 lbs
DB reverse wrist curls 10 lbs

Blew it out of the water again. Sipped Purple Wraath intraworkout. Metallica came on during close grip bench and it quickly turned into an all Metallica workout. All of the same great effects on two scoops and 8 hours sleep. I met my match today on BB curls with an increase in weight, a good amount of struggle after just a couple sets. Bench dips are so deceiving! They are incredibly easy the first set and on the 8th set you are crying after 10 seconds when you're supposed to go 20 - LOVE IT! Then I did a 38 minute HIIT cardio session right after weights- biked. 9 min warm up, 10 x 1 min hill sprint 1 min easy back downhill, 8 min cool down, . I was up out of the saddle using hard gears. Huge leg pumps going up hills in hard gear. I saw some veins in my thighs pop out - rarely happens. There was still a lot of motivation, craziness for HIIT. There was a lot of yelling at myself to go harder. Great start to the morning.

I've noticed the past week that I've been feeling bloated in my stomach. I didn't creatine load so I imagine the creatine has finally built up in me. I probably have put on a pound or two of water weight.

I'm off for the next three days, traveling for a wedding. I'll probably just do a couple of moderate paced runs. Chest on Monday! Everyone have a great holiday weekend!

Great workout today on 7.5 hours sleep. 8:45am egg/cheese/ham sandwich, brussels sprouts. 11:00 TWO scoops SuperSize, 1.5g Beta-Alanine, 1g Taurine. 11:30 started 50 min chest/ab workout:

BB bench 145 lbs
Incline DB fly 35 lbs
Incline DB bench 50 lbs
Push-ups
Lying DB pullover 50 lbs
Reverse crunch
Swiss ball crunch w/ 5 lbs
Russian twist w/ 10 lbs

Sipped on Alpha Amino intraworkout. It was one of those workouts where I was asking myself "Am I even pushing myself?" I certainly was, lots of partial reps on the last couple sets of most exercises. However, I just wasn't getting tired. Exceptional recovery. I may have to use a loaded EZ curl bar next time for pullovers, 50 lbs was just too light and I don't have heavier DBs. 5 lbs really increased the intensity on crunches. I ended up rockin out to Judas Priest most of the workout - great euphoria. No time for cardio today being it Labor Day - certainly had enough in the tank for it though. Oh and I blew up like a puffer fish today - best chest swoleness so far on SuperSize. It was nice to be able to workout later in the day today. Effects of SuperSize still seemed plenty strong not taken on a fasted stomach.

The best day was definitely the first day that I took two scoops for arms/HIIT. I've never felt that unconscious doing sprints. But as you have read, as long as I get a good amount of sleep, all the workouts have been awesome!

Super easy to microwave some frozen brussel sprouts. Add a dash of soy sauce/hot sauce/pepper and I'm set.
Oh... I haven't had soy sauce in forever. Imma try it on them tonight.

Crushed my back workout today! I 8.5 hours sleep. 8:30am eggs/cheese/oats, cauliflower. 10:55 TWO scoops SuperSize, 1g Beta-Alanine, 1g Taurine. 11:15 25g whey, small banana, few raisins. 10:40 started 49 min back/abs workout:

Wide-grip Chin-ups with straps
Reverse-grip BB bent over rows 95 lbs
Strength band straight arm pulldown
Strength band seated rows
Finisher - Wide-grip BB bent over rows drop set 95, 85, 75, 65, 45 lbs
Hip thrust
Swiss Ball oblique crunch w/ 5 lbs
Strength band kneeling crunch

Sipped Purple Wraath intraworkout. It was on from the get-go today. I had good euphoria throughout the entire workout. I really killed myself to start off with chin-ups which made my back super swole early on. Even with wrist straps, my forearms were hurting. Initially I hadn't planned on upping the weight for bent over rows but SuperSize made me feel like a little b!+ch for not going up in weight yet so 95 lbs it was! I had a really acute mind-muscle connection today. I made sure I felt every rep right where I was supposed to. 5 lbs made a big difference with oblique crunches - loved that burn! Then it was a high cadence mod-hard effort 58 min 16 mile bike ride to top if off. Intense euphoria like I was never going to want to stop! Eventually I got hungry and could feel the tank getting close to empty, plus I had to piss! The past week, I noticed my lips have been getting dry each day starting with my workout. I guess it's the creatine really working. It sucked forgetting to put on chapstick before my ride. Looking back on my workout, I was blown away at everything I had done and how great I felt doing it. It made me tired just thinking about it all. So another great day on SuperSize!

What bands are you using for the rows/pulldowns?

Solid WO, especially following those chins like you said.

8.5 hours? That's almost officially a coma, right?

Another great workout today. Almost got 8 hours sleep. 6:30am TWO scoops SuperSize, 1g Beta-Alanine, 1g Taurine. 6:45 25g whey, banana. 7:00 started 40 minute shoulder workout:

DB shoulder press 35 lbs
BB upright row 75 lbs
DB Lateral raise 20 lbs
DB Reverse fly 15 lbs
BB shrug 155 lbs
DB shrug 50
Giant set finisher -
Reverse fly 20 lb DBs
Lateral raise 20 lb DBs
Front raise 20 lb DBs
Shoulder press 40 lb DBs
DB shrug 50 lbs

More of the same today. Killed some shoulders. I got a good pump in my biceps again on upright rows and I wasn't even focusing on them. I went up in weight on upright rows when I wasn't planning on it. SuperSize told me that the 2.5 lb plates looked pretty *****, so it was a 10 and 5 on each side! Rest periods were cut to 2 minutes between most exercises instead of the usual 3, I was running a little short on time. With SuperSize, this wasn't a problem. Then I did a 38 minute HIIT cardio session right after weights- biked. 9 min warm up, 10 x 1 min hill sprint 1 min easy back downhill, 8 min cool down. I was up out of the saddle using hard gears. I went way past my performance threshold on my last set. I literally thought my thighs were going to explode, definitely the most intense burn I've ever experienced.

Tomorrow should be an awesome arm work. It will be a lunch workout, so I should be getting lots of sleep. I had to do some grocery shopping today at lunch.

With concentration curls and standing knee thrusts, I had the bands completely snap in half. With bent over reverse flys, the band broke off of the carabiner. I guess in all situations, I should have used a heavier band instead of stretching it too much.

That would suck if the band whipped and smacked you in the face. I was lucky each time this didn't happen.
