I would like to thank FINAFLEX for this opportunity to log their new flavor CHERRY LIMEADE Stimul8. This will be a multipart log. It's going to begin today and end Nov. 2, 2014. It serves multiple purposes. Although this log begins with a sponsorship it will end unsponsored, while continuing with products of the Finaflex line.

For those who don't know me I have been on the board for awhile. I served most of my time lurking before diving into the community. I have been training through several sports for over 20yrs. I got more focused on POWERBUILDING since the last three years, Why do I call it powerbuilding, because the training I perform consists of both. The main movement is a powerlifting movement and the rest which follow are high volume focused on medium to heavy on the accessories. It also involves Overtraining. Yes, I said it overtraining. OMG! It doesn't exist, well whatever, I don't have time to argue my points. I do what I wish, this is why I stand on my own two. Follow along if you like but if not it's ok, you read this far anyways.

What am I going to achieve, well I wish to enter the 100% RAW Worlds Powerlifting Competition in order to win a championship ring in the SHW Masters category. Yes, folks I'm laying it on the line for this one. For the past five years Worlds has been in Las Vegas. It finally made it to the East Coast and I'm ready to hit my best in this comp by far.

Why a multi log, once stimul8 is complete I plan to run Mass550 & 1-Andro plus Rev Pct and Pure Test to follow for a total of 16 weeks. A beautiful run to test the products full tilt. If interested follow along, if not move on............Enough said....................................Lehgo!

Day 1 Monday

I headed to Pittsburgh Meadowlands for a corporate class I had today! Managing your workforce it was titled. Very informative and I'll save you all the headache but it was extremely helpful I. Helping me to understand how mid to top level management evaluates their employees. This is a mid level management course. I'm just an {Drilling} engineer but one day plan to be a rig supervisor which is the next step in my career development.

Since many of you don't know me I'll add more and more details of my background over time. This will become my logging home. Since I'm doing a long evaluation of Finaflex part sponsored and unsponsored I want to run a full tilt of products going it I my biggest and most important meet of the year and my powerlifting career.

I don't compare myself to anyone, yet I stand alone in many aspects which is why when I compete I'm normally the sole competitor in my division. I stand 6'5" and began as a bench specialist. I moved on to the big three and compete mostly in push/pull but have squatting in my back pocket if need be.

My best lifts to date are:

Squat: 475
Bench: 440
Dead: 565

ALL DONE IN COMPETITION. So in the gym I never perform to YouTube nazi standards, meaning full rep, but I hit numbers in comp with pauses, enough said. I never use straps, wraps or belts. Everything is performed RAW and never utilized Ph's or AAS. Again as this long develops I'll divulge more info over time about how I achieved my size. It's been a long road and now I see the satire and awkward looks I get and whispers, "he's on something," damn, straight I'm on hard work and dedication. Hmmm, maybe I should patent it and sell it in a bottle. Nah, too many na Sayers. Oh well, I hope this provides some insight and entertainment in sense that I can utilize this as ways to bounce ideas off one another and spark conversation. Otherwise, it will be a long 6 months. Maybe, just maybe I will hit my goal bench of 500 in 2015 but for now I'll settle for a 455 to 470 bench in comp.

Well it's 330 and I need to get back to sleep. I woke up accidentally in the hotel room thirsty and hungry as hell. I walked to the front desk, only to encounter a man in his tight whiteys headed the same direction because he somehow got locked out of his room in his undies. Hmmmm, they asked me why I didn't say anything. I told the counter person he was on my floor and I had no idea why he was so naked and didn't care. It's their responsibility to find out what happened. Meanwhile, the security guard was standing right next to the lady at the counter wondering same thing. I looked him like why you just sitting here conversation instead of roving.

Day2: Active Rest Tuesday 5/20/14

Drove back from Pittsburgh and wanted to head to the gym. My mind was telling me yes but my body was saying HELL NO. I set myself up to watch the Heat/Pacers game. Well, I passed out at some point and woke up to Sportscenter. Obviously I missed it but for good reason. I sipped on my protein cocktail:
Phase 8 1 scoop, 1 c Egg whites {Equals 10 eggs, 25g protein} mixed in 10oz milk. Then I dozed off.

Day 3, Wednesday 5/21/14

Gearing up for a long day. I popped the top of my stimul8 and got set to hit the gym. I was exhausted, I made a lot of phone calls to take care of some business and was still feeling the effects of the last two days, mental stress from the classes and staying up so late both nights. I drank it in 16oz of water, making sure to utilize just one scoop and downed it before mixing my Phase8 cocktail, I take pre/post. In 30 minutes my system came alive.

Feeling good and about to go back to the rig where I work. I'm excited to make this full run. I'm utilizing some principles from Mike Rashid and CT Fletcher. Believe me it's all about challenging yourself and taking it beyond the traditional sets. My chest/delts and arms are toast. Lets' hope I make it through the entire 12hr shift.

Day 4, Thursday

Took the day off and showed up at the Rig which is 20 minutes form to the house, only to find out they want me to drive to Ohio to another rig to watch a second of job their doing which takes two days. I said no problem, went home, packed up my stuff and headed to Ohio. This puts me in a dilemma. I have no gym close. Normally, I can find a gym 30-45 minutes within range. No go, and the people here are in he worst shape. I see why, they hardly take care of themselves. I didn't find this out until I led my trip to Almart for some nourishment. I'll explain that in my next update. Since I don't have one close I'm looking to possibly drive an hour to Wheeling, WV. This means I'll have to sleep immediately following my 12 hr shift, wake about 1-2 and roll. I've done it before but it's much more disappointing to go his far for a workout. The alternative is to focus on calisthenics and stretching in my room on site. Being as tall and big doesn't give much room for movement. I'll have to resort to prison style workouts. During my on weeks the gym will be little to non-existent. Bear with me, it's going to get interesting.

prison-style workouts, FTW

this is actually not bad strategy, will help to build different muscles and muscle-fibers, than what weights typically give you
and if you can do upside down push-ups (or HSPU, ie hand stand push-ups), and/or also have access to a pull-up apparatus, then you certainly can get nice beneficial workout and training in

Day 5 Friday & Day 6 Saturday

Active rest. Going ballistic because I can't do anything until Monday. Between housework, running around outside with my son (calisthenics included) and gym workouts, it's about to get real. I'm loving the effects of Stimul8. Comes in handy on night shifts to help me stay awake. The thermo effects aren't bad either. Paying close to diet which is consisting of protein and veggies and very low carb to starve those fat stores. Drinking water and coffee to get through the shifts. May is almost over so I will be kicking up the workouts since it's getting warmer outside.

I have a 18x36 pool, so I will be getting some work in there too. I'm too excited to get this all wrapped up by summer end and reveal the physique. I have a full 5 months remaining until Worlds. I sent the application in and will reserve my spot. Hotel arrangements are complete. All I have to do is remain strong and get stronger to pull off a nice bench and revisit my best deadlift.

Sitting here working I have nothing but time to think about my workouts. I think I will pull off my push up routine tomorrow evening and hit the 300 mark. Again calisthenics are king when you don't have access to iron. So let's get it, thanks to all who have stopped by.

Might I ask why the slingshot gets put at the start of the session and not towards the end? Just curious
For variation. Usually I utilize it at the end once RAW POWER is saturated. If you put it on at the beginning where your the strongest, it wakes up all those dormant muscles that don't get activated until mid workout. Now that all your muscles are firing and you hit the best with assistance, your muscles are primed to hit anything below your highest bench. 405 felt like 365 and so on. I use no rules when I train. I do a lot out of the ordinary and that doesn't make sense most.

I did a lot of research on the slingshot. It varies as to how you can use it. You can even train with it an entire workout and the next not at all. It will allow you to be versatile and increase bench with no problem. It's a tool not to be abused but used effectively.

Lastly, it takes the shoulders out of the equation,
So it keeps your shoulders fresh and all power comes from your chest.

It's going to be a long process to get Dead/Squats up, just stay with me and watch the drama unfold. No wraps or belt and squats were performed prior to Deads with that tempo 10:2:1. Road to 1555 is alive and well, won't be crossed until Summer 2015,,October should hold a nice push/pull.

I took some stimul8 following my 12 hr shift. I drive to the gym in Clarkburg, WV only to fnd it's been closed since May 29 PERMANENTLY.?Wow! Luckily there was another down the road which turned my 35 minute trip to 50minutes. I chatted with the lady at the front desk shortly and walked into the gym area for the first time at this location ". At first glance, it looked like a shabby run down old style gym. After assessing the situation I realized it was how old school bodybuilders trained and I immediately fell in love with it.

You should have see. The blank stares and I could almost picture their thoughts, the guys who were in here. I noticed very quickly how they all looked and breathed the same. They all were taking note to what I was adding to the bar since I planned a chest workout. Instead of unveiling the giant slabs under my tshirt I just left it on, because I had a cut style shirt which reveals my chest on either side and covers the middle.

The guys in there began to lift their shirts to attempt to show their abs and see what they have accomplished, as I was beginning my chest assault. No plan just plain wtf I feel like and entered mind:

Bench Press:
135x2x10
225x10x10

Incline Bench
135x10x10

Pull-ups {Various grips}
355x5x5 ss/
Straight Arm cable Pulldowns
140x5x15

Smith Machine Military Press {Front/Rear}
135x10x10 {5 front/5 rear}

Toasted at end. Headed to Walmart and picked up some groceries and headed back to rig. Stimul8 is giving me great energy and pumps. These workouts are being done with 44sec between sets. I'm moving along quick unless I feel need for a longer break. I got lines coming in under these smaller layers between serratus, Delts, Lats & chest. I'm stoked because month 1 of 5 of my biggest recomp is finished. I'm getting great results and tons f energy with Stiml8. Whether I'm working 12 hr shifts or at home with my wife and you guns it almost makes me feel like training.

I simply eat for maintenance. Most times it ends up in deficit because I miscalculate. It's all clean foods. I'm seeing more energy and better results. I can't eat too much because then I end up gaining unwanted lbs whether it's muscle/bf/water. I don't want to be bigger, just stronger. I'm on a lifetime cut, lol.

No doubt! Thanks JD. Yeah, I'm sitting in the Co. man headquarters contemplating my update. I worked back heavily on Wednesday. Thursday and FridAy were work cardio. Basically, moving in rig equipment to the pad. I spent 40hrs upright and coordinating. I about fell asleep in the chair when I came into the co. Man HQ to take a break last night. I'm already up, about to shower and do it all over again. The gym will be closed today and Subday by the time I get off so ill use these days for calisthenics or active walking. I focus heavily in eating right when I can't get to the gym and keep it tightened moving forward. So I get better and better each day. I get leaner and leaner. I'm loving his Stimul8 rub. Of course, it's what I rely on heavily for my energy. It's doing it's job for sure.

I like that you are not limiting yourself to pre workout only in the Stimul8.

It's such a versatile product in that, smaller doses on non training days are extremely beneficial with energy as well as appetite suppression. Ka-boom.
Oh btw nice numbers on the over hand bb rows after all that work before hand big fella.
