Alright, just got my tub of Formutech Volatile in the mail today. I want to thank cswalczakny and Formutech for this opportunity. This is my first official log and I am so excited for Volatile to be my first. I will be starting my log on Monday as I just got it and already had my workout this morning and Sunday is my off day. I am currently 180lbs and I am trying to get to 190lb by the end of summer. For this log I am going to be following this training schedule:
Day 1 (Monday) – Back & Biceps
Day 2 (Tuesday) – Chest & Triceps
Day 3 (Wednesday) – Shoulders & Legs
Day 4 (Friday) – Repeat day 1
Day 5 (Saturday) Repeat day 2
This is how it goes most weeks, but due to school the days may change. I am doing 8-12 reps at the moment and 3-4 sets depending on the exercise. So excited to get this going, can't wait till Monday!

Alright, today was my first workout with Volatile and it went great! The gym completely sucked today, with high school kids running all over the place, and trying to find weights was like trying to find a needle in a haystack. But, my workout went good. I did back and biceps today. Here is the breakdown:
Lat pulldowns: 3 sets of 12(140lbs),10(150lbs), 8(160lbs)
Deadlifts: 3 sets of 12(225lbs), 10(275lbs), 8(295lbs)
Bent over barbell rows: 3 sets of 12(135lbs), 10(145lbs), 8(145lbs)
Straight arm pulldowns: 3 sets of 12(70lbs), 10(80lbs), 8(90lbs)
Preacher curls: 3 sets of 12(70lbs),10(80lbs), 8(90lbs)
Hammer Curls: 3 sets of 12(35lbs), 10(40lbs), 8(40lbs)
Reverse curls: 3 sets of 12(55lbs), 10(60lbs), 8(65lbs)
1 arm cable curls (to finish it off) 3 sets of 10(27.5lbs)

Workout lasted 55 minutes and I felt a really good surge of energy within about 20 minutes of taking Volatile. After my workout I still felt like doing more, and its been an hour since my workout and haven't felt a crash/come down. I was very concentrated throughout the whole workout. I really like the taste of it and it mixed very easily. I have the Berry Eruption flavor and to me it has a nice refreshing after taste. It was also nice to finish drinking my pre-workout and look into the glass and not see all this extra undissolved powder at the bottom like I have seen with other brands. The pump was solid today, and that really helped I feel with my mind-muscle connection. I felt like I was working the muscles I was intending to a lot better than usual. When I got home my wife asked me what I am on, so I know I had a good pump going haha:smirk: Looking forward to tomorrows workout, which will be chest and triceps.

First off, after my first dose yesterday of Volatile I never had a sudden crash. I liked this a lot, since most of the time I have caffeine containing products I crash and feel like crap after. I also slept like a baby last night so another plus. Just got done with my second workout, and I did chest and triceps. Here is the breakdown:
Flat Bench Press: 3 sets of 12(175lb), 10(195lb), 8(215lb)
Incline Dumbbell Press: 3 sets of 12(70), 10(75), 8(80)
Hammer Strength chest press: 3 sets of 12(160), 10(180), 8(200)
Cable Flies: 3 sets of 12(40lb), 10(50), 8(55)
Incline Skull Crushers: 3 sets of 12(60), 10(70), 8(80)
Rope push downs: (weights different on every different machine there) 3 sets of 12(60), 10(70), 8(80)
Weighted dips: 3 sets of 12(50), 10(60), 8(60)
Cable triceps kickbacks: 3 sets of 12(17.5lbs), 10(20lbs), 8 (20lbs)
Then I finished off with dips to failure.

Had a great workout. Woke up excited to get at it again. Had great energy throughout the workout and focus was sharp just like yesterday. Had a nice chest pump going. Worked out for 1 hour, and like yesterday wanted to do more after that. I weighed myself today and I am at 182 right now. I was about 178 3 weeks ago (last time I weighed myself), so pretty happy about that. On my way to 190! I tried taking Volatile with ice cold water today to see how it tasted since it felt refreshing in just room temp water yesterday. It was very refreshing! It still kicked in about 20 minutes after I took it was perfect. So far I am very impressed with Volatile, so lets see, hopefully it keeps doing what it's doing! If anyone has any questions I am more than happy to answer them.

Trained shoulders and legs today and had another solid session. Started out with shoulders and felt pretty strong today. Here is the workout:
Shoulder Dumbbell Press: 3 sets of 12(60lbs), 10(65lbs), 8(70lbs)
Barbell Shoulder Press: 3 sets of 12(1115), 10( 125), 8(135)
Lateral Cable raises: 3 sets of 12(50), 10(55), 8(60)
Dumbbell Front Raises: 3 sets of 12(30),10(35), 8(35)
Shrugs: 3 sets of 12(270), 10(290), 8(310)
Squats: 3 sets of 12(245), 10(285), 8(315) Felt really good!!
Leg extension: 3 sets of 12(150), 10(160), 8(170)
Leg Curls: 3 sets of 12(120), 10(130), 8(140)
Standing calf raise: 3 sets of 12(250), 10(270), 8 (300)
Seated calf raise: to failure with 180lbs

I felt awesome today! The shoulder workout gave me a good pump and I was very vascular. I usually dread doing legs(I ruptured my hamstring tendon a couple years ago and lost a lot of leg strength from it) but today I was excited. For me that is a lot of weight. I have not goen that high with squats in a while, and I know I could have easily done more. After my injury I did leg press mostly for my legs and sort of got in the habit of that and squats fell by the wayside. I usually feel like my legs are going to just fall out from under me and I never use that much weight. I seriously felt like I could keep going all day. One thing I have really noticed about volatile is that the energy is very steady and doesn't seem to spike and drop during my workout. It remains steady and I love that. I can honestly say I haven't been this excited to train in a while. Sleep is still good. Haven't had any hard crashes later in the day. I am much more vascular during y workouts and after. I have also been in a much better mood lately too. Tomorrow is an off day but I think I will do some cardio.

I thought my legs were going to be dead yesterday and today, but they feel great. I haven't hit legs that hard in a while. Ready to hit back and biceps again in a couple hours!

Went with 2 scoops today! haha just to check out what all the buzz was about. I was definitely buzzin. I was worried about feeling jittery and agitated but had none of that. Only thing I noticed was increased heart rate, which is obviously expected. Even greater pumps today. Really wanted to try this out for my back and biceps workout today since back is my favorite area to work on. Great energy. I know I have said this before, but I will keep saying it. The one thing I have noticed and love about Volatile is that I DO NOT have crashes after my workouts. When the energy starts to fade it is gradual and not a sharp drop. Huge plus. Got great sleep last night and felt good going in today.

Lat pulldowns: 3 sets of 12(150lbs),10(160lbs), 8(170lbs) Went up 10lbs on each set from Monday.

Deadlifts: Warm up + 3 sets of 12(225lbs), 10(275lbs), 8(315lbs)- On the last set I went up 20lbs from Monday. I really wanted to push myself. I did have to pause or 10-15 seconds after 4 reps to get my breath back, but finished out the 8.

Bent over barbell rows: 3 sets of 12(135lbs), 10(145lbs), 8(145lbs) Same as Monday

Straight arm pulldowns: 3 sets of 12(70lbs), 10(80lbs), 8(90lbs) Same as Monday
Preacher curls: 3 sets of 12(70lbs),10(80lbs), 8(90lbs) Same
Hammer Curls: 3 sets of 12(35lbs), 10(40lbs), 8(40lbs) Same
Reverse curls: 3 sets of 12(55lbs), 10(60lbs), 8(65lbs) Same
Pull ups to failure: got 13 after all that (want to get that number up)

Next week I am going to bustout my weighted belt for my pullups and dips. If anyone is wondering how the taste is its great! Not as good as the sample of Melon Endurance I tried, but up there. I could drink this stuff throughout the day, I better hide it haha. Had really good vascularity/pump today and a kid in high school came up to me and asked me what I did and asked for some tips on preacher curls. So that was pretty cool. One more workout this week (tomorrow).

I've found very little difference between 1.5 and 2 scoops with energy and focus but if its shoulder day the pumps are so intense it hurts bad!

Just finished my Chest and Triceps workout today. Well it was supposed to be Chest and Triceps but ended up just doing chest because I ran into a friend and he convinced me to get some much needed cardio in. I wanted to try out some cardio while on Volatile so why not. Had a great chest training session. Felt really rested and strong going in today. This is my second time this week training chest so was expecting a slight drop off, but nope. I went up!
Flat Bench Press: Started off wanting to try and max out. Warmed my way up to my previous max of 285. My buddy showed up and so I said what the heck lets go up. Went for 295 and got out 2 reps! Tried to go to 300, but wasn't able to get it this week. Very very happy with this.

Then did my regular flat bench: 3 sets of 12(185lb), 10(205lb), 8(225lb) Increased each set by 10lbs.

Incline Dumbbell Press: 3 sets of 12(70), 10(75), 8(80) Same as previous workout

Hammer Strength chest press: 3 sets of 12(160), 10(180), 8(200) Same as previous

Cable Flies: 3 sets of 12(40lb), 10(50), 8(55) Same as previous

Overall I am super stoked about hitting a new PR with bench press. I haven't really been focusing on trying to get to that, but now I really want to get over 300lbs which I should be able to very soon. I felt like my nervous system was primed and ready to go today. Woke up in a great mood, jumped out of bed and hit the weights. Between studying for 8 finals in the next 9 days, I would have been happy coming anywhere close to my normal lifts. However, I went up and feel great. As far as the cardio goes, we did just 20 minutes of interval training on the treadmill, 1 minute run/sprint, 2 minute jog and repeated to up to 20 minutes. I have not done cardio in for ever and I thought I was going to die but felt really good. Had a great chest pump today and my buddy who hasn't seen me since high school (7 years ago) was shocked at how big I had gotten (I was 160 throughout high school, and now at 182). Loving this stuff!

It has been 1 week since I started Volatile, so I wanted to just give my thoughts on it so far. I have tried numerous different brands, so I can compare it to quite a few. I have tried: NO-xplode, Jack3d (original with DMAA and the new version), amino energy, 1.M.R, Hyper-fx, Super Pump max, NO shotgun, redline, Xtreme shock, and speed stack.
Taste: It tastes great in my opinion. It is very refreshing, and honestly I could drink it all day. It is not as great as the taste of Endurance, but by far one of the best tasting pre-workouts I have tried.
Mixability: Mixes very easily and doesn't leave much powder at the bottom of my glass after drinking it. This is a big one for me, because in some brands I feel like I put in a scoop but end up actually only drinking 3/4 of it. Obviously anything will mix better the warmer the water is, but I like to drink this with cold water because it is very refreshing, and it still mixes very well.
Pumps: I have had amazing pumps on Volatile. I especially love the pumps I get with chest and back. I feel it really helps with the mind muscle connection as well. I have noticed I am much more vascular while training on Volatile and even after my workouts for a good couple hours.
Strength: I just set a new PR in bench press 2 days ago while on Volatile. I benched 295 and my previous high was 285. I feel that with the beta alanine and other ingredients my muscles have been able to handle weight easier. I think the priming of my nervous system with Volatile is what has really helped me in the strength department.
Sleep: My sleep has been great so far. No problems falling asleep or staying asleep.
Recovery: I feel like I am less sore after workouts with Volatile. I hit legs pretty hard this week, and lifted heavier than I have before and I felt like getting back at it the next day.
So far so good! Looking forward to the next couple weeks. If anyone has questions or wants to know about anything I did not mention just let me know!

Alrighty, I trained back and biceps today at the gym. I am going to hit legs and shoulders tomorrow. Had a good workout today. Was feeling pretty yesterday, but got a great nights sleep and felt good today.Took a scoop of volatile and felt great within 15 minutes and headed to the gym. Back is by far my favorite group to train, and even more so while on Volatile. I get such good pumps. They aren't uncomfortable pumps where it is painful or I can't do anything, but nice moderate pumps that make me look more vascular.
Lat pulldowns: 3 sets of 12(150lbs),10(160lbs), 8(170lbs) Same as session on 5/3
Deadlifts: 3 sets of 12(225lbs), 10(275lbs), 8(295lbs) did an extra set of 6 (315lbs) Felt really good doing deadlifts today.
Bent over barbell rows: 3 sets of 12(135lbs), 10(145lbs), 8(155lbs)
Straight arm pulldowns: 3 sets of 12(70lbs), 10(80lbs), 8(90lbs)
Preacher curls: 3 sets of 12(70lbs),10(80lbs), 8(90lbs)
Hammer Curls: 3 sets of 12(35lbs), 10(40lbs), 8(40lbs)
Reverse curls: 3 sets of 12(60lbs), 10(65lbs), 8(70lbs) Up 5 from 5/3
Pullups to failure to finish off: Got 15 this time (2 better than last week)

Hit legs and shoulders today. Didn't feel as strong today going in (probably due to lack of sleep from finals), but felt pretty good after taking Volatile. Was able to up my squat from last week from 315 to 325, which is the most I have ever done. Really stoked about that! Great leg pump today, I felt like my legs were going to rip my undershorts haha.
Shoulder Dumbbell Press: 3 sets of 12(60lbs), 10(65lbs), 8(70lbs) Same
Barbell Shoulder Press: 3 sets of 12(1115), 10( 125), 8(135) Same
Lateral Cable raises: 3 sets of 12(50), 10(55), 8(60) Same
Dumbbell Front Raises: 3 sets of 12(30),10(35), 8(35) Same
Squats: 3 sets of 12(265), 10(305), 8(325) Went up on each set from last week. Felt really strong and felt the legs pumping!
Leg extension: 3 sets of 12(150), 10(160), 8(170) Same as last week. Legs were pretty tired after those squats.
Leg Curls: 3 sets of 12(130), 10(140), 8(150) Up 10 from last week
Standing calf raise: 3 sets of 12(250), 10(270), 8 (300)

Didn't have time after yesterdays workout to log, but I did Chest and Triceps. Just got done with today's workout and I did Back and Biceps again. Yesterday was a real good workout. I usually train by myself since I just want to get my workout in and not have an annoying workout partner talk to me the whole time, but I worked out with a friend yesterday since I was doing chest. I wanted to push it and see if I could get to 300. Wasn't able to get to 300, but hit 295 again. I think I may be able to hit it next week if I am well rested. Still sleeping like a baby. This morning I eve slept through my alarm which never happens, and it was going off for 15 minutes before I realized it. Didn't wake up tired either. I have been using 1.5 scoops lately. I have tried 2 and it worked great, but took the advice of others to try 1.5 and I am liking that dosing. Pumps have been very good. Haven't noticed any increased jitters, nervousness, or anxiety since going up to 1.5 scoops.
Flat Bench press (tried maxing out) 5 reps of 225, 4 reps of 245, 3 reps of 265 and 1 rep of 295. Maybe I am doing too much prior to maxing? I don't know. Maybe someone else has an opinion on what is best when trying to max?

Flat Bench Press: 3 sets of 12(185lb), 10(195lb), 8(225lb)
Incline Dumbbell Press: 3 sets of 12(75), 10(75), 8(85)
Hammer Strength chest press: 3 sets of 12(160), 10(180), 8(210)
Cable Flies: 3 sets of 12(50lb), 10(60), 8(60)
Incline Skull Crushers: 3 sets of 12(60), 10(70), 8(80)
Rope push downs: (weights different on every different machine there) 3 sets of 12(60), 10(70), 8(80)
Weighted dips: 3 sets of 12(60), 10(70), 8(75)
Cable triceps kickbacks: 3 sets of 12(17.5lbs), 10(20lbs), 8 (20lbs)

A lot of my numbers seem to be going up, especially towards the middle/end of my workout, which shows me that I my endurance is better and I owe that to Volatile. I think I sold my wife on the product haha. She is pregnant and due in 7 weeks. She wants to shed all the weight she has gained, so pretty sure she will be using Volatile!

O yea and two nights ago I was studying for one of my finals and couldn't stay up. I saw the jug of Volatile and thought "hey why not". Took a scoop and had great focus and clarity, and I was able to finish my cram session. Got a 91 on the exam so can't complain :)

O yea definitely, the DMAA really helped with that. I have tried the newer version, but did not like it at all.

I hit shoulders and legs again last night and had a decent workout. My legs were pretty tired still from the previous workout and from doing more cardio recently, so wasn't able to put up as much as I normally do. The leg pump was amazing though. I think the fact that I had killed my legs earlier this week, done extra cardio, and was taking volatile, my legs felt like they were going to burst.
Shoulder Dumbbell Press: 3 sets of 12(65lbs), 10(70lbs), 8(75lbs) Up 5 from last week
Barbell Shoulder Press: 3 sets of 12(120), 10( 130), 8(140) Up 5 from last workout
Lateral Cable raises: 3 sets of 12(50), 10(55), 8(60) Same as last workout
Dumbbell Front Raises: 3 sets of 12(35),10(40), 8(45) Up 5 from last workout
Squats: 3 sets of 12(235), 10(285), 8(315) Still decent overall, but not as high as earlier this week, but i guarantee if I was taking Volatile I probably would have not been able to train legs at all.
Leg Curls: 3 sets of 12(130), 10(140), 8(150)
Sitting Calf Raise: 3 sets of 12(135), 10(145), 8(155)

My shoulders have been getting stronger the last couple weeks. They have always been a week point for me, but I am enjoying the increase in the weight I am pushing. I think the added shoulder strength is what is helping me to put up more weight than I have ever done in bench press. I took 1.5 scoops and I am going to stick with that amount. I was talking to the guy who owns the "Juice/smoothie/nutrition store" in my gym, and trying to get him to purchase some Volatile. They sell pwo by the bottle and as single servings. He seemed pretty interested.

ahh Monday my favorite day since it is Back and biceps day! Had a really good workout today.
Wide grip Lat pulldowns: 3 sets of 12(160lbs),10(170lbs), 8(170lbs) Went up on 1st and 2nd set from last week.
Deadlifts: 3 sets of 12(225lbs), 10(275lbs), 8(315lbs) Felt great. was able to hit 315 8 times (with a few slight pauses in between). Trying to fix the disproportionate ratio of my deadlift to squat.
Bent over barbell rows: 3 sets of 12(135lbs), 10(145lbs), 8(155lbs) Same as last week
Straight arm pulldowns: 3 sets of 12(70lbs), 10(80lbs), 8(90lbs) Same as last week
Preacher curls: 3 sets of 12(70lbs),10(80lbs), 8(90lbs) Used my Grip Force with these and still able to keep same weight. Amazing pumps when I added the grips.
Hammer Curls: 3 sets of 12(35lbs), 10(40lbs), 8(45lbs) Went up 5lb on my last set from last week
Reverse curls: 3 sets of 12(60lbs), 10(65lbs), 8(70lbs) Same as last week
Pullups to failure to finish off: Got 15 this time (same as last week)

I felt wel rested from a nice weekend and felt great at the gym today. Happy with my deadlift and a few increases in weight in other lifts. I get a great pump already with Volatile when doing biceps (arms and forearms swell like crazy), but when I added the Grip Force today it was amazing. Felt really good. Pretty hard to drive home though when your forearms are pulsating....

Did chest and triceps today. Had a decent workout. Great chest pumps and felt really strong. Wasn't able to hit 300 on bench press again, but maybe next time. I am still feeling the same energy and focus I have been since day one of Volatile. Haven't been eating to well the past week due to all these parties and events for birthdays, mothers day etc. Got to get back on track!

Flat Bench press (maxing out) 5 reps of 225, 4 reps of 255, 3 reps of 270 and tried to do 1 rep of 300 but couldn't get it up. Waited a few minutes and hit 295 once like before.
Flat Bench Press: 3 sets of 12(185lb), 10(195lb), 8(225lb) Same as last week
Incline Dumbbell Press: 3 sets of 12(75), 10(80), 8(90) Increased by 5 from last week
Hammer Strength chest press: 3 sets of 12(160), 10(180), 8(210) Same as last week
Incline Skull Crushers: 3 sets of 12(60), 10(70), 8(80) Same
Rope push downs: 3 sets of 12(60), 10(70), 8(80)
Weighted dips: 3 sets of 12(70), 10(75), 8(80) Went up a bit from last week
Finished off with dips to failure.

Try reverse pyramid on flat bench next time. Do a couple light warm up sets (say 6-8 reps at 125 and 150). Then go right for 310 or 315 for 1 and pyramid down. It'll get your CNS used to the heavier weight and it will be easier to hit when you go back to your standard pyramid routine. I bet you push 315 for 1. In fact your first rep at 315 just do a slow negative, then re rack and come back for a full rep. Whenever I tried to up the weight a bunch it always helped me to feel it first.

I agree with this. I bet you will kill it that way. Somedays I walk in the gym on like Chest/Tri night or Shoulder night and walk over and do 60lb alternating DB curls, just to remind my biceps that Back/Bi day is coming lol.

I got 300!! I just did chest yesterday, but after reading the suggestion I couldn't wait to try haha. So I started out with 6 reps of 135lb and then 6 reps of 155. I then went straight into it with 310lbs. I couldn't push up the 310, so I waited a few minutes and went for 300. It wasn't the cleanest, but I got it up! I think next week when my chest is fresh I will be able to handle it a lot easier. So excited right now, I have never benched 300! I am loving Volatile! Did my regular shoulder and Legs workout after and felt great.
