Portland OR. My ski season never ends. Ski mountaineering season is about to start, May is usually the peak. Less storms and more stable weather so you can climb the high peaks and ski down em without getting killed by avalanches or lost in a whiteout.

Sunday's workout Day 19
5 hrs of ski touring. Basically like cross country skiing but uphill on semi-steep slopes on downhill skis with AT bindings and climbing skins, then ski down like downhill skiing, then repeat for laps. cardio engine was great took 4 Tropinol when I started out. Wish I had more time to get more laps but had to get home and get some stuff done. Didn't feel too much leg fatigue until the last 20 min or so on going back to my truck.
Monday's WO Day 20
ATG squats 250 x 2s x 5r, 225 x4s x 5r had to adjust to get used to different rack that had fixed height safety bars. Really messed up first 2 sets, couldn’t get low enough w/o hitting the safety bar. And I'm 6'2". This rack would be great for NBA players or 1/4 squats but why bother doing 1/4. Solution was to walk all the way out of the rack. Dropped the weight to 225, wasn't sure if I was fatigued or just thrown by the differences in the rack.
Pullups 3s x 8r
Bench 215 x 5s x 5r, then some speed work 185 x 5 and 155 x 5.
Bent over Rows 180 x 5s x 5r
a good workout, strength/control on bench and rows were good. Legs were tired from Sunday ski tour. Going to squat again on Wed. Weight holding steady at 198-199. A little leaner, more time on Tropinol would probably be a good re-comp when combined with right cardio programming. I'm not really interested in recomp/cutting right now and will continue to focus on strength gains. Going to complete a 2-3 de-load cycles before I attempt new 1RMs. Slowly progressing back up to higher working weights, but extra cardio and more ski touring are probably limiting some additional progress.
Log ends on Friday Day 25. I bought an extra bottle of Tropinol XP, not sure if I will extend this run or stack later on.

If you're looking for strength gains, definitely extend this run of Tropinol XP! Those benefits start taking hold in weeks 2-3, and a full 8 week run would really do that aspect of the product the most justice, IMHO.

Wed 2/27 Tropinol XP Day 22
Squats 225 x 5s 5r. legs and hips were very tight and fatigued. Switching to squats 1/2x week as additional cardio and skiing is preventing adequate recovery. Attempted 250 ATG, got 2 reps but it was a struggle so de-loaded to 225. Also going to add another warm-up set instead of going from 135-150 to 225+lbs.
Overhead Press some good news here. Arms were feeling a bit fatigued so was not sure how this would go. 150 x4sx 5r then one more set for 4 reps. I hit 155 for 5x5 at end of Jan, think I will be solid for 155 and 160 after a de-load next week.
Deadlifts sumo 135x5, 185x5, 235x5, 285x5, moved up to 325 but wasn’t feeling it so didn’t pull it.
Wide grip chins 2 sets x 8 reps
Despite some misses esp on squats still a good workout.
Thursday 2/28 Tropinol XP Day 23
Elliptical 3 min warm-up then 33 mins of 1 min on / 1 min off intervals. Tropinol XP really makes this type of effort easy for me. I think the people around me think I’m on something cause I’m working at a crazy intensity level.

3/1 Day #25 of Tropinol sponsored log
Normal pre-WO supps, 4 caps Tropinol XP, some BCAAS, Beta Alanine and something new 1 pill iForce Dexaprine thermogenic.
Bench 135x12, 185x5, 220 x 5s x5r. These went really good. My training partner decided to sleep in. He picked a good day cause I didn’t need him. Worked the pause of the chest and keeping the bar moving once the lift starts off the chest.
Bent Over Rows 185 x 5s x 5r. Also went good. Think I’ll be able to keep adding weight and hit some good #’s on this. I have been using progressive loading but will be changing soon. Not sure what 1RM is on this but will work some triples and non-max singles
Chin-ups 10, 8, 8
Incline DB press 55 x 5s x 10r. No problems here either. Nice chest pump good fatigue
One Arm cable rows: 45 x 5s x10r
Cable curls 37.5 x 20, 16, 15. Crazy arm pump after 1st set.
Good WO today, transitioning to 5/3/1 and will de-load next week.
Dexaprine is some strong stuff. I have used the old ECA stack for years. Dexaprine was more thermogenic and stronger than ECA w/ 1 tab of caffeine @ 100 mg and the old Twin labs Ripped Fuel with ephedra, I was sweating like crazy after 5 min easy warm-up on elliptical. iForce is not kidding when they say to cut the pill in half for your first time using it. A full pill in 1 serving was a bit too jittery for me, but no negative effects on the WO. After about 2 hrs or so I was feeling fine and the thermo effect continued for several hours. Next time I will cut in half and take the other half 2-3 hrs later.
I planned ahead and picked up the Nutra deal with Tropinol XP and Intimidate a few weeks ago. 25 days may only tell you if something sucks, I think it takes longer to figure out how well a new product does against your tried and true staple products. Tropinol XP is no joke, it’s got some quality ingredients that are backed by studies and endorsed by experienced users. My training programming didn’t really give me an opportunity to push myself as hard as I would have liked during the first 25 days. To be honest the max lifts I hit in bench, squat, and deads on 2/11 left me very fatigued and a bit burnt out. I won’t be maxing the next 4 week training block (or anytime soon) so I’ll have a chance to push it a bit harder.
This Tropinol XP log will continue for another 25 days. Just like last 25 days Tropinol XP will be the only T-booster/performance enhancer I’m using. Support supports will continue with normal stuff creatine, beta alanine, protein, BCAA, glucosamine, fish oil, multi.

Great arm pump on from this WO. Arms looked and felt full all day. Really enjoying the 5/3/1 flexibility to include different exercises compared to Stronglifts 5x5. 5x5 did its job but the progressive loading and squatting 3x week were more than I could recover from with my spring time activities. I ran 5x5 for 8 months and had good weight and strength gains. Prior to 5x5 my weight training the last 2 years was not very structured.

Weight is steady at 200. Looking leaner but did not use calipers at start of log so no real data to back this up.

Thanks Mike. I love squats. I'm looking forward to putting some weight in the bar in the next few weeks. For a secondary leg ex I'll use the leg press, Bulgarian split squats or lunges. I've got another simple day programmed for dead lifts tomorrow.

40 mins on nordic track. easy endurance pace, just wanted to get the blood flowing and burn a few calories
Tropinol XP Day #30 Thurs 3/7 4 Caps pre WO, and added some PES endurance. PES endurance was a mixed bag, this was my first time using it. I'll run it a few times next week before reaching any conclusions. WO was afternoon around 4:00.

Glute Ham Raise with a 45 plate 12x, then 2s x 10r. Lower back was working hard even though I squeezed glutes and hams strong.

Took it easy today, had to buck some hay bales after my WO.
Day #32 3/9 ~ 2.5 hrs of paddling in my touring kayak. Upper back is a bit fatigued. Great weather, no wind, warm temps, and nice views of Mt. St. Helens, Mt Hood, Mt Adams and Mt Rainier. Lower back was mad at me, haven’t paddled since Oct so need to get these muscles used to the workload again.
Day #33 3/10 Worked on my truck. Removed lower control arm, torsion bar and bushings. Pushed new bushings in with home-made threaded rod bushing press. Did it manually no air tools used so this was hard work. 1 control arm done, 3 to go.
Day #34 4 caps pre-wo with BCAA, Beta Alanine and ½ serving of PES enhanced. The half serving of Enhanced was just right. Full serving last Thursday was pretty bad.
Bench Press 161x5, 186x5, 211x10
T-Bar Rows 125x5, 145x5, 130x7
Dumbbell Incline Press 60 x 5S x 10R

Tropinol XP Day #35 3/12 Squats and Deads
Elliptical Warm-up 10 min
Power cleans 95 x 3S x 10R
Squat 185x5, 213x5, 241x2, 213x8. Wasn’t feeling squats today. Legs esp hamstring were fatigued from weekend activities. Upper back was too from Monday chest/back. I will swap squat and chest/back days next week.
Deadlifts 185x5, 226x5, 260x5, 295x8. No straps, getting close to a PR by formula Weight x Reps x 0.033 + Weight (373.7) . I did 305x10 (406.7) at end of January, but that was with straps. I think I’ll get the weight/reps PR in next couple of weeks.
Some glute ham raises then out. Legs are feeling fatigued.
I planned to do squats and deads on separate days this week but some unexpected events led to combining WO and I will lose some gym days. Going to repeat same programming next week and get more reps.
Weighed in really low today, at 196 from normal 200-201. Probably just water weight. Going to have to buy some new shirts for work, too tight in chest/back/shoulders. I’ll measure again in ~15 days or so. Shoulders/traps are growing but I didn’t measure shoulders until ~ 2 weeks ago so I don’t have a good baseline #.

How's the libido on this? I trust Iforce and their sources cause I'm curious of the fadogia quality and its libido effects. Profile looks solid and I can see your strength gains are there so it seems to be delivering in all those departments. Seems you've been enjoying this run man! Just jumping in a bit late ill admit, but still here nonetheless. Keep killing it brotha!

Libido has been good, not crazy up but steady so 7 seems appropriate. Bedroom performance has been great for cardio stamina, hardness, and time needed to rise to the occasion. I felt a bit stronger urges on daa/bioforge. No issues with overly strong AI affecting time to full working volume or causing issues in my transition game like I have experienced with Erase taken in the evening. With Tropinol you're good to go at any time of the day. The stamina, strength and recomp effects are solid. intro price is awesome with the nutraplanet deal for $38

Back at it on Monday. I was handling family business so no WO other than some walks since last Wednesday.
Awesome squat day today. I have been lagging a bit on squats. Transitioning from smith machine to free squat was tough. I killed it today.
Power cleans 95 x 3s x 10r. Getting better rack position on shoulders. Ready to increase weight now that form has improved.
Squats warmups 135x5, 175x5, then 225x16 for weight/reps total of 344. Not better than my 360 smith PR but a free squat PR.
Then dropped squat weight to 135 x 5s x 10r with pause in the hole.
Then out. Total time about 50 min. Great WO. Legs and glutes have not been this blown since max squat/dead/bench lift day back in Jan.
Weight has been at 195 for about a week. Scale going down, weight on the bar going up. Awesome.

Another good WO today. Went for a weight/reps PR on bench but came up a little short.
Bench 135x5, 161x5, 186x5, then 211x9 went for 10 but needed a spot. Prev best is 195x15=292.4 from 1/11.
Tbar rows 45x12, 80x5, 90x5, 100x10
Chin ups wide grip 10, then could only get sets of 5 after tbar rows. Back was a bit burned out.
Db incline press 65 x 5S x 10R
Close grip bench press 145x10 a bit too heavy so dropped to 125 x 4S x 10R
And to finish it off preacher curls 85 x 2S x 10R, 85 x 8, 75 x 2S x 10E
A good hard day.

Good stuff happened in the gym this morning.
3/20: rest day. Stretched and relaxed. Tuesay WO chest, biceps , and triceps worked me pretty good, I’m feeling the fatigue in these areas. T-bar rows are working my upper back pretty hard also.
Thursday 3/21 Tropinol XP cycle ends next week.
Power Cleans 135 x 3S x 5R. Working on technique for a few weeks before increasing weight
Deadlifts 226x5, 260x5, 295x11 for new weight/reps PR of 403. Best 1RM to date is 385. No straps, used chalk.
snatch grip deads 135 x 3S x 10R
some glute ham raises not counting reps just lowering slowly and holding contraction at different points in the movement
some pull-ups 2S x 10R. I was a bit surprised to get 10 on second set
and some leg curls and leg press to finish it off
Great WO. Nice to improve on DL reps from last week same weight 295 but +3 reps. No straps, just chalk. The snatch DL afterwards really worked my upper back and glutes.
I just recently learned how carbs impact my body weight. My weight has been either 195/196 or 200 every time I have weighed in the last two months. When I reduce or eliminate carbs at dinner I weight 195. Eating carbs = 200. I have observed this on 3 separate instances in last 2 weeks. Mystery solved. I thought my weight variation was due to food/water so this seems like a reasonable explanation.
Shoulders and arm WO tomorrow.

Another solid morning at the gym. 4 caps Tropinol XP before workout with BCAA and beta alanine. I have bulk powder BCAA and have changed to scooping directly into mouth instead of trying to mix this stuff. Doesn’t taste good but it’s over quickly. The beta alanine chase cleans up the funk taste nicely.
Overhead press 111x5, 128x5 this felt heavy. Back and triceps are tired. Got 145x9 and stopped here before form went south.
Close to a weight/reps PR. Best 1Rm is 190, weight reps is 150x10 from 1/28
Chin-ups wide 3S x 10R
Dips 15, 12, 12, 11, 12
Barbell curls 75 x3S x 10R
Hammer curls 35 x 3S x10R

Deadlifts 135x5, 185x5, 243x3, 278x3, 312 x9 for a weight reps PR of 405.5. Previous WRPR was 403 on 3/21.
Glute Ham Raises 3 sets. I don’t count reps, just hold and pause at different points in the movement.
Finished with some machine crunches
Friday 3/29 Shoulders and arms. Last day of Tropinol XP log. It’s been a good 8 week run. Definitely some strength gains. I think I’ve lost some BF but stayed at same overall weight so a good leaning and recomp result. I didn’t use calipers or get measured before I started so no actual values. I hate those electronic resistance cheap handheld BF measuring devices because they are not accurate. I will get the tape measure out tonight and see what the results are on size. Shoulders and arms are looking larger and more vascular, lots of veins in front delts.
Shoulder Press 95x5, 120x3, 137x3, 154x9 for weight/reps PR of just over 200. Previous best was 150x10 on 1/28 which is just a hair less than 154x9 but more is more. I’m cool with incremental improvement. I wasn’t sure I’d get all 9 but I moved it without any problems. Tried to get 10 but it wasn’t happening without a form break.
Push Press 154x3
Chin-ups 10, 10, 10
Bench press working on speed 135x5, 155 x 5 sets x 5 reps
2 stop chop bench press 155 x 2 sets, 10 sec pause against spotter resistance at 2 inches and 6 inches off chest, hold lockout for 10 sec. This is a cool exercise, if you have not done it try it out. Thank you T-Nation and Chris Cooper for this idea.
Dips 12, 10, 10
Bent Over Rows 1 arm 50 x 2 Sets x 10 reps, 50 x 25 reps.
Superset curls and triceps press curls 50x20, 50x20, 30x20 and triceps 50 x 3 sets x 20 reps
Another good WO. This is the end of my Tropinol XP log. Overall a good product that I would buy again. I would will to try taking at same time as DAA, I’ve had good results from other products using this protocol. Two areas where Tropinol XP real does well are endurance and recomp. I recovered very fast between sets and fatigue was not as bad as expected. I look leaner and more muscular at same weight compared to 8 weeks ago, 200 lbs. I also had some good strength gains on squats, deadlifts and shoulder press. I’m very close to setting new weight reps PRs on bench press. Next week is my 5/3/1 rep week and I expect to hit some good numbers.

Some measurements to give you an idea of my results from 8 weeks on the Tropinol XP
First measurement was on 2/19.
neck 15.75/16 0.25
shoulders 49/51.5 2.5
chest 43.5/ 46 2.5
forearm 12.5/ 12.75 0.25
biceps 15.5 /15.62 0.12
No change in Bw 200 lbs the whole time but I think I lost some fat and gained some muscle. Not a ton but I'm pleased with results.
I'm not a bb'er and didn't train bis much the last 8 months. But big arms are impressive and ill work on this lagging area with more focus during my next training block.

Bcaa have worked well for me. I feel less DOMS and muscles recover faster. I use em before a long ski tour or climb in addition to my gym sessions

Strength 8/10 bench, dead lift, and shoulder press all increased over 8 weeks. Good steady increases between 5-7%.
Muscle gains 8/10 BW didn’t change but measurements went up. I consider that pretty good. I don’t do a lot of cardio during the week but tend to have a long day every weekend of hiking/skiing/climbing or paddling.
Pumps 7/10 Definitely noticed the pump, not super strong but there. I don’t assign a high value to getting muscle pump from a supplement. If you’re into that you’ll enjoy this effect. A nice bonus but not a reason for me to buy a supplement.
Aggression 10/10 or 1/10 depending on how you view this. I was definitely more aggressive. Not fighting people in the streets but a very strong effect. If you have aggression problems Tropinol XP may add to your problems.
Libido: 7/10 no negative effect on libido, but definitely not the boost I got from DAA stacked with other products.
For me the best part of Tropinol XP was the leaning/recomp effects from the Forskolin and the endurance/quick recovery between sets.
I noticed immediate effects on aggression and endurance on 1st dosage. Other products I have used take 2 weeks to get any appreciable effect.
I will run Tropinol XP again, probably as a recomp stack. My Diet and training were dialed in. In general I respond well to training and dieting. Just like all supplements your mileage may vary especially if you don’t have diet, training, recovery and stress management under tight control.
The product packaging makes some pretty ridiculous claims. I hope no one ever buys a supplement based on the packaging. Read the ingredient lists, look up studies on Pubmed, and read other logs.
Thanks to iForce and their great reps for letting me test Tropinol XP. The second bottle I paid for was definitely worth it.
