  1. It's been great as-is. I feel the strengths of the product are its vitamin profile And the cortisol/anti-ox ingredients. Cons might be too high a creatine content and high 1,3, but they haven't bothered me as much as I initially feared; in fact, they've been a pleasant surprise.

    If I created my perfect PWO it might be something like MM + Body Octane or just some extra Citrulline Malate. Possibly Condense + Hemavol for functional and cosmetic pumps.

    MM has been the right blend of mental focus, pumps, and energy. All of the other formulas mentioned above are lacking in one if those areas to some degree.

    Use to make my own PWO from bulk products: beta alanine, Citrulline Malate, BCAAs, GMS, agmatine.

    Twisting barbell lunges:
    95 x 5, 5, 5

    Jefferson lifts:
    185 x 5 forward and back, 4, 4

    Sumo deadlifts:
    185 x 8, 7, 6
    235 x 4, 4

    Squats w 45 lb plate overhead
    10 x 3

    Went with some lifts I haven't done in a while and ones I've never done, good to switch things up once in a while! Confuse those legs.

  3. No shoulder/arm workout days this week as P.T. is kicking my sorry dupa! Very humbling that stability exercises and 2 lb weights are causing such soreness, but its amazing how the small, seemingly insignificant muscles that have been injured or misused for years can hinder progress in the gym. With the push-ups, stabilizers, and various other activities in P.T., it doesn't make sense to add in an arm day for workouts this week. Next week I'll just have one session per week, so I'll see how things go then. For now, it's chest/back/lats one day, legs the next. Rest days and cardio in between.

  4. Did a chest / lat workout today, and I think the physical therapy Monday really affected what I could do today. Basically same weights and reps as the last chest day for chest press, but it felt like my muscles were ripping apart! Definitely more strenuous. Maybe an extra off day is in order or a lighter workout day.

    In addition to the chest press, I did 2 sets of 10 BoSu ball push-ups followed by 10 BoSu walkovers.

    Then went on Roc-It Mid Row machine an did 260 x 15,13,11, then 215 x 10 and called it a day.

    Lots of work to do tonight and about to fire up the grill to cook meat for the next few days. Busy busy!

    540x 10, 450x5, 360x5 drop set, 2 min break
    540x9, 450x 5, 360x5
    540x 8, 450x 5, 360x5
    540x 7, 450x 5, 360x5

    Hex bar deadlifts
    185/5, 225/5, 275/5, 275/5, 225/5, 185/5

    Pouring sweat afterwards, tired but euphoric if that makes sense! Good day to shock my legs with some heavy volume!

  8. Thinking of switching up the upper body workout to less weight higher reps...at least once in a while. Don't know if my struggles last session were due to weakness and soreness from PT or if I plateaued for the moment...thoughts or hints on this?

  9. Did a lot of body weight exercises today; pull-ups, push-ups etc of varying grips and positions. Fighting the onset of a cold so I didn't want to get too crazy today.

    Feeling great when on the MM. Good endurance and focus!

  10. Just a quick update: had to take a few days off to rest up from a bad cold I had. Didn't want to wear myself down so maybe it's good to have take some time off. Looking forward to getting back in the groove this weekend!

  12. Had our housewarming party last night so no workout. Got back in the gym though today and did a lot of chest/back/shoulder work. Lots of stuff I usually do in PT and a few other things as well.

    Pull-up/BoSu push-ups :20,16,13
    Flying push-ups: 15,13,12
    Medicine ball arm raises: lateral and 45 degrees x 10 each x 2
    External shoulder rotations: 10 x 2 @ 20lbs
    Mid-rows: 265 x 15, 13, 10

  13. Bit of an off week so far. PT Monday and today; parent conferences tomorrow. Upset I can't work out as much as I'd like this week, but I'm still dedicated to it and to this log. Sorry updates re: training haven't been as steady as I myself would like them to be at the moment; life is in the way right now!

    Twisting forward/ back barbell lunges
    95 x 5,4,3
    Ground base squat:
    180/5, 270/5, 320/3, 270/5

    Got back in the game today after a very busy week. Hard to feel the right foot position for the base squats and felt a slight twinge in my back so I cut them short. Felt good to get back on that horse!

    MM treating me good as always; 11:45 now and no crash feeling after working out 7 hours ago.

    Forerunner Labs Alpha Kits should be arriving tomorrow and that will be my next product run, although probably not a log. Maybe just a final review after my run.

  18. So before I go into the workout log for today, some background. I'm getting ready to hit the gym but first I want to see if my fiancée is awake from sleeping after her overnight shift. She was, and when I saw her in bed, I had to take her. 20 minutes later, my baby batter is all over her and I have to hit the gym.

    With that in mind,

    Chest day:
    Hammer bench press dropsets:
    360x8, 270x6
    320x6, 270x3
    270x6
    Hex bar shrugs:
    195x10,9,8,7,7
    Roc-it lat pulldowns:
    250x12,11,9,7, 180x8
    Farmers walks: 2 gym lengths @ 65 pounds x 2
    BoSu push-ups: 25,15

    Even after having my juices drained preworkout, I was still able to drive through my chest/back/lat workout. Thank you Muscle Marinade!

    400/12/11/10, followed by same reps for 300 and 200 lbs

    Mountain climbers:
    30x 3 sets

    Lunges pushing a 25 pound plate from chest outward: 8,7,6

    Standing squats w a 45 lb plate overhead:
    15x3
