So JD over at athletix was kind enough to hook me up with a tub of adamantium, pink lemonade flavor


(that's right, I have my own name on my wall)


I am in contest prep right now, my show is july 16 . . . so that means I'll be running this right up to my show :D

Currently holding onto strength in most areas, and even increasing in others, so it will be interesting how this treats me as my calories shrink down even more (1700 now)

I have also been taking inhibit-e (atd) for the past 3 weeks, and will continue throughout my log @ 25mg/day. This should deal with any potential estrogenic sides I could experience.


Im debating whether or not I should do before and after pictures, because my results may give the wrong impression of the product (Im going to go from single digit bf #'s to contest-level conditioning). Also I really dont want to post pictures of myself now, as Id rather wait to unveil the complete package in july. What I may end up doing is taking the befores now and just wait to post them till the end. I think that will suffice.



Anywho, I'll be drinking down my first serving tomorrow before heading out for my heavy legs day . . . should be a good time!

Thanks good bros

the weight classes are all messed up for my show. I was supposed to be in the lightweight class of 145-155 right at 155, but they changed it to a lightweight class of 145-165. I'll be in the middle, which means I'll have to have the best conditioning, posing, and individual routine to beat everyone else. Not really a problem, but it ticked me off a little bit.

** just a heads up, the bars in my gym are 50lbs not 45lbs(technically they're 53lbs, but Im not counting those 3lbs . . . yet :p). No, I am not adding 2.5's to each of my sets **

* Front Box Squats (to parallel, pause reps)

I dont remember the weights, but I racked it for 2 out of my 4 sets
* Leg Extensions Machine
80x13, rack x10, rack+7.5x10, rack+10x10 drop rack x4 drop 180x5 drop 100x5 drop 70x10 => deadface
* Seated Calf Raises (plate loaded)
180x10, 135x10, 135x10, 90x10, 90x12, 90x13, 90x20


Finished up with 15 minutes on the stationary bike to get some extra cals burnt off.

Obviously its far too early to start judging the adamantium (daa usually doesnt kick in for a good 12 days), but I can say that the taste was pretty good. It was a mix between lemonade and fruit punch, and the aftertaste was straight lemonade (thanks citric acid :rolleyes: )

I actually decided to keep my cals at 1700 and just up my cardio. same overall goal but a better way to go about to doing it.

Was looking to get some sweet weight increases, and I didnt disappoint myself.

* Pulling Power Movement: Bent over rows (used parallel grip bar)
140x10, 190x5, 230x5, 250x5, 230x5, 190x5 drop 140x10 => whew, that bar is something to work with.
* Assistance Pulling movement: Weighted Chin ups (underhand)

Haha, that thing is awesome. Im ticked at myself for waiting till now to use it. Interval training on that thing was intense . . . my shirt was 85% saturated by the time I was done.

Still too early to attribute my gains to the adamantium though . . . but I can only assume things will get better :D

alright, so I havent gotten around to uploading those pics from sunday, but they are actually pretty cool. I was tree climbing with some gear and my hip flexors were shot monday and even yesterday.

But here's my workout from yesterday, Legs and lighter deads

* Deadlifts:
140x5, 230x3, 320x2, 410x3 => no bouncing at bottom
* Speed Squats (slow down, fast up):
140x8, 240x3x5
* Leg Extensions
80x15 rack+10x10, rack+12.5x10, rack+12.5x10 => I can only increase this weight so much :(
* Hamstring Raises:
bw x10, bw+20x9, bw+20x5 drop bw x4 (failure)
* Seated Calf Raises
180x10, 180x8, 140x10, 140x10, 140x13


Tabata HIIT on spin bike for 4 minutes followed by a 10min cooldown (low-med intensity)


Weight still dropping as well(160 this morning), and strength is either holding or increasing. Feelsgoodman

still nothing new to note in terms of oily skin, increases in pimples, out of control libidio, etc.

meh, I was up about 30ft or so. GF's currently up here, but when she leaves tomorrow I'll have some time to upload the pics.



Yesterday was chest and shoulders . . . pretty fun with my carb up :D

* Flat dB press:
60x8, 75x5, 85x5, 100x5, 100x4, 100x3
* Seated dB shoulder press:
60x8, 70x5, 85x4.5
* Incline bench:
140x8, 190x3, 200x3, 200x3, 195x5 => lockout was tough on the last rep
* Cable Flys (flat)
4 sets of 10 reps @ 80
* Cable Flys (on incline bench)
5 sets of 13 @ 30
* Rear Delt dB flys (individual arm)
4 sets of 10 with 20s

Had loads of energy that day from the carbs . . . I went through a box of honey kix, 3/4 a box of frosted flakes, and 1/4 box of cocoa puffs . . . was amazing :D


Today was arms . . . pump in both my tris and bis were unbelievable

* Close grip bench press (with parallel grip bar)

* 7's with Lat pulldown bicep curls

Triceps were just filled with blood after the first round of 7s . . . starting to get my groove in with that exercise, really awesome for finishing off the tri's.

Biceps and forearms were looking crazy vascular today . . . after that last set of spider curls, almost every vein was just popping out of my skin. Felt pretty awesome haha.


Both days I ended with tabata hiit on a spin bike; 4 minutes with 10 minute cooldown. Today I did another minute at around the 6 minute mark, just to shock da body :D


now if only the weather was nice around here . . . f'ing rain and thunderstorms everyday for the last few days :\


feels like the adamantium is starting to kick in.

Lean and mean :D, looks like I had more fat on me than I thought . . . roughly the same strength as when I was up ~178lbs :eek:
Dropping that much weight that fast and keeping the same strength on this killer diet, is pretty damn amazing! Everytime I cut my damn strength drops :mad:, I'm not bulking again until I beat my PR's! Can't believe your cutting and beating PR's, absoutely insane in the membrane!!! lol

Wanted to switch it up today . . . could tell my body wouldnt respond very well to high weight / low reps, so I aimed for 5 rep sets instead. was not disappoint :D

Figured out about 2 weeks ago that I would not be contest ready in time for the 16th, and I had no problem holding off for another 4 weeks. Like they say, you can never go in too conditioned :D

If you need some extra time it's better to wait until the next show, your gonna be crazy lean! Cutting and breaking PR's, I bet you still break PR's the week before lol. Nice workout! Keep killin it Andrew!

STORY TIME

-Alright, so driving to the gym, I was thinking about how focused and positive I was feeling. Really just feeling good. I take 95% back roads when I drive to the gym, so this particular part (while I was admiring my amazing feeling) was a pretty long straight away. Pretty much right after I finish my thought of alpha-ness, I reengage my focus towards the road and see a f**king turkey just chilling there. Had to have been sitting there the entire time I was on the road . . . anyway, I avoided it as it ran off and laughed for a pretty long time about the irony of my focus comment.

-It is impossible to find someone that will spot you without assisting every.****ing.rep. Two different spotters today, both I asked for ONLY a lift off. Both assisted every rep after 3. Very irritating.
On the brighter side, I decided not to use a spot on my last set (only 230 . . . if I fail on that I deserve to die) and I felt like I was throwing the weight around. Really just playing with it, havent felt like that with a heavy-ish weight since back in september when I repped out 225x11. Feels good, but also feels kinda bad that I have relatively the same strength at 158 that I do at 178 (maybe even more).

-About 85% through my workout, someone was on my pec deck machine (yes, mine) so I decided to do hanging tucks and work on my core a bit (see exercises above). First and second set were good, I went to sit down after set #2 because I was pretty winded and my lower left abdominal just cramped up. WTF IS AN ABDOMINAL CRAMP???? Ive seriously had cramps in every part of my body except for abs . . . never dreamed it was possible. Anyway, I mustve looked like an idiot because I was sitting down trying to stretch out my core and bending my body backwards and sideways and, ugh. Of course after I stretched it out for a minute or so I went and did my third set (who the hell does 2 sets; amiright?). Just a weird experience.




Overall, sweet day indeed :D. And refeed tomorrow :eek: . . . yes excited.

aha I hear ya man, I have delt with the same thing, pisses me off so bad, I tell them DO NOT HELP ME UNLESS I SAY "K HELP" and they assist anyways, pisses me off.


I hate abdominal cramps, they suck! Keep killin it man, don't kill the messenger, kill the spotter! :lol:

Ive been lucky to have a lifting partner or at least a steady spotter. I almost seek em out. It was my roommate for the longest time now its my trainer. Good way to make friends though.

Ive been lucky to have a lifting partner or at least a steady spotter. I almost seek em out. It was my roommate for the longest time now its my trainer. Good way to make friends though.
Yeah, when I start working I'll be living/lifting with my old lifting partner of 2 years. cant wait for that haha

That and just feeling strong when I was doing lat pulldowns with the cables (pretty much sit on the ground and pull the cables down and towards your body), got up to 150 on each side for 10 reps.

Forearms and biceps were of course massively pumped up from the huge influx of carbs, but I attribute my strength to the adamantium :D

Glute Machine:
60x15, 80x10, 100x10
* Leg Extensions
80x15 rack+12.5x10, rack+15x10, rack+20x10 => found new way to stack the extra weight on :D
* Calf presses on leg press machine
Did 3 warmup sets then racked the machine for 3 sets of 13 (think it was around 350)


Energy levels were notably lower today (most likely from the absence of carbs this morning) but I pushed through. Like I said above, my grip is failing on my deads faster than my back. I either need to get some exercises in to bulk up my grip strength or pick up some chalk to compensate.

Either way, Im content with pulling that much weight raw @ 158 :D


Oh, and if all goes well I will be extending this daa+lclt cycle for a bit longer (sorry no more adamantium, just bulk for dirt cheap). If you guys want more info you can let me know, I dont want to advertise in here.

140x5, 230x3, 320x2, 440x1(raw PR) => grip is holding me back . . . wentup super easy but I was slipping at the top. might be time to finally invest in some chalk

Forgot to mention that I did about 23 minutes of LISS on my treadmill post workout yesterday. was sweating up a storm, lol

Banged out chest and shoulders today. energy levels were low but I pushed through


* Flat dB press:
60x8, 70x5, 85x5, 100x5, 100x5, 100x5 => up a total of 3 reps from last week
* Seated dB lateral raises
25x10, 30x10, 35x8, 40x8
* Smith Machine Shoulder Press(weight in smith domain, bar down to chest):
135x8, 185x5, 185x5 drop 135x8, 185x5 drop 135x5 20s rest 135x5
* Cable Flys (flat/decline)
50x10, 70x10, 80x10, 80x10
* Hanging Tucks
3 sets of 15 reps
* Standing shoulder presses on calf raise (plate loaded machine, parallel grip)
50x5, 60x5, 60x5

finished up with another 4 minute tabata hiit session on the spin bike, followed by 2 minutes of low intensity, followed by 6 minutes of ramping up from low to medium/high intensity, ending with a 2ish minute cooldown

Even though my energy levels were low during the workout, I was still able to get more reps on my flat dB press from last week (last week was my carb up day as well :eek: )

One thing that ticked me off today is that I didnt do rear delts . . . although its not that big of a deal as my rear delts already look sweet, haha.

Im not sure what day this is, I think I started two friday's ago, so its around 11ish days on so far. strength gains are definitely coming along, probably the strongest my upper body has ever been.

Good stuff today, I changed up my rep range for biceps just to try something different and oh boy did it show. Biceps were cramping up after my first exercise with them; super pumped. actually really excited to get my agmatine (either saturday or next week) and start that up at ~1g preworkout. Also debating on whether or not to get some citrulline malate to throw in, havent decided yet.

oh, and the agmatine is happening . . . 59$ for 100g is impossible for me to pass up.

* Front Box Squats (to parallel, pause reps)
140x5, 190x3, 230x3, 250x3(PR)

4 sets of 8 reps => went to failure on last 2 sets

Ya I find squats go down the most during a cut, I'm shocked you were still able to make a PR on front squats, good job!
