Introduction
Just received a tub of Shred Matrix! I would like to thank Pmiller383 AND Muscle Pharm who made the opportunity for me to test out Shred Matrix, possible. Nothing short of excitement as i start Shred Matrix, and I have no doubt in my mind that it will help me achieve the very dry and conditioned look that is required to place first on stage at INBF Naturalmania.
Stay tuned!

Goal while on Shred Matrix:
Spending the past 8+ weeks dieting down was not easy, and initially the fat was just rolling off, but as the contest date nears, the fatloss is slowed down considerably. With a proper contest diet, I am using Shred Matrix to accelerate the fatloss process, to stay one step ahead of the competition.

Diet:
5:30 am- 1 tablespoon flax oil, 1 cup oatmeal w/ water and a 6 oz chicken breast
8:00 am- 2 scoops whey w/ water and 16 almonds
11:30 am-1 cup rice w/ 6 oz chicken breast and brocolli
3:30 pm- 1 cup rice w/ 6 oz chicken breast and brocolli
7:00 pm- 1 cup rice w/ 1 tablespoon flax oil, 6 oz chicken breast
10 pm-2 scoops casein with water.

Training:
Training will be doing heavy lifts(relatively lol) but controlled
so I can feel the muscle contracting and getting the maximum contraction. Nothing extraordinary.
After every training session, I will be doing 30 min of moderate cardio on the treadmill (3mph, maximum incline)

Supplements I will be using:
Shred Matrix- Accelerating fatloss, as the competition day nears.
xtend-to help preserve muscle while on a caloric deficit.
Protein shakes- any whey and casein protein that i get my hands on.

TIME TO CONQUER THE STAGE. HOOAH! :bb3:

BTW, the labeling on the tub on shred matrix looks SICK. great design, and also Brad of Musclepharm was nice enough to send two samples of assault and a Status Fitness Magazine.

Thanks!

The label looks sick. case closed. lol

Haha thanks!

But still not lean enough for stage :duel:
Im gonna probably have to get down to around 152-155 to be fully dialed in.

Not to mention I'll have to get a real dark base tan before applying any paint tan.

Alot of work to do! But all I can think of is :pizza:

Alright, i took my first pack of Shred Matrix this morning,
Felt energized the whole day throughout, clean and nothing that makes me jittery (very good thing)

Felt unusually warm today

Im probably guessing thats due to the thermogenic effect from the cayenne pepper.

Good thing you guys put that in there, people even use cayenne pepper to prevent frostbites in the cold weather (raising body temperature)

So next time I go climbing Mt.Everest, I'll know to pack some shred matrix to save my nose and fingers lol. :icon_lol:

Looking at the shred matrix ingredient profile, it should really help with raising my metabolism to break through a plateau.
anyway, Im going to hit the gym pretty soon,
busy day today, and Ill even try the assault sample packet that Brad provided, for pre workout and try and get a great training session.

Be Back later folks!

Sorry for the lack of updates, had no internet access for a while.

Hit the gym HARD today.
Took 2 packs of Shred Matrix today to make up for a stimulant tolerance (I do have long history of stimulant usage)

Now, being on all those weeks took a toll on my strength,
but with all this extra focus from the Shred Matrix, I got in extra reps in the exercises AND had GREAT aggression at the gym where its needed.

Chest and Triceps day

Incline Bench press
95 lbs warm up 3 sets
135x7
155x5

Incline Dumbell press
35 lbs x 8 reps x 3 sets

Incline dumbell flys
35 lbs 8 reps x 3 sets

Flat Bench Press
135 x 7 3 sets

Hammer Strength Press
110 x 10 3 sets

Skullcrushers
110 x 8 3 sets

Overhead one arm extensions (correction on name)
25 lbs x 5 2 sets

LOVED the focus from Shred Matrix.
I probably would use it to study for exams or something if school was in LOL

I forgot to take my last Assault sample for this workout :(

Jesus, I swear that Shred Matrix made me hit the weights harder than usual.

My pecs and tri's are unusually sore. Which is a good thing :duel:

Eating my 2nd meal of the day today.
My waistline appears thinner than before,
29 inch waist to be exact LOL.

Gonna smash some weights today
(totally back day)
and then do some heavy duty cardio for 20 minutes.
Then practicing poses for about 10 minutes.
Posing is no walk in the park, its a whole cardio in itself.

Wish me Luck!

Back day was CRAZY,

Deadlifts
135 x warm up (didnt count reps) 3 sets
225 x 7 reps 2 sets
315 x 5 reps 3 sets
365 x 3 reps 1 set

Lat pulldown
110 lbs x 8 reps 3 sets

Close Grip lat pulldowns
120 lbs x 8 reps 2 sets

One arm dumbbell rows
50 lbs x 9 reps 3 sets

Hammer strength rows
50 lbs x 8 reps 2 sets

Pretty KILLED. Did posing for 10 minutes in the bathroom afterwards.

Jesus, I was about to pass out from posing after the frikkin workout.

What can i say? Im a beast! :icon_lol:

Jesus my back is KILLED. Sore as hell.
Took another packet of shred matrix, gonna have a workout partner today, so I'm going to give it a 110 percent at the gym.

Was thinking about legs, but other teens are gun-shy to go squatting so it'll take some persuasion for my workout partner to smash some legs. And he was thinking about doing bench press and curls..... figures...

I am curious too, Taking two at once though would be some what of a waste because at a certain point you are not going to notice any additional positive effects and are more prone to negative sides.

I felt very wired, as if I needed to do something productive.
That came about 40 minutes after taking it though. (takes time to absorb)

Its a good feeling, probably what I felt from taking a Monster energy drink after a VERY long layoff from stimulants.
(although I havent been off stims for a while).

I love the thermogenic effect from the shred matrix especially.
One thing I also noticed was increased sweating during workouts
(I'm normally the type that doesnt sweat too much).

What I love about the Shred Matrix so far is that it hasnt given me jitters that are common with stimulant use. Which is a plus

Work out was awesome,

my friend wasnt much of a workout partner as I decided NOT to do chest and biceps (what teenagers ALWAYS LOVE to do)
since it was a designated LEG day.

Felt on the verge of puking from the intensity.
Which is a good thing.

Squats
135 x warm up 2 sets
225 x 6 reps
315 x 5 reps 2 sets
345 x 3 reps 2 sets

Leg press (45 degree incline)
405 lbs x 15 reps 3 sets

Leg extensions
50 lbs x 10 reps 3 sets
(SLOW and HARD SQUEEZE for 2 seconds at top)

As if that wasnt enough
Hack squats
365 lbs x 10 reps 3 sets

Had a definite hard time walking up the staircase.

Did 20 minutes cardio medium incline 4 mph after the workout.

Was dripping with sweat. Felt pretty numb after the cardio.
Im DEFINITELY gonna feel it tommorow morning.

I have to thank Brad for sending some refills of Shred Matrix.

Took 2 packets yesterday spaced out about 6-8 hours apart
to keep the metabolism constantly raised throughout the day.
Training went well yesterday,
It was Chest and Triceps

Although the gym I visited had no sort of incline machine or bench so incline work was not done :frustrate

Chest

Bench press
135 x 7
185 x 5
205 x 5 <-new PR, The feeling of extra intensity and focus that Shred Matrix gives, had a part in increasing some of my lifts while still on a drastic cut.
During the cut, my strength had dropped somewhat (30-40 lbs)
and I was able to fill in the gap a bit during the time on shred matrix. AWESOME!

Chest Flys
60x10
70x10
80x10

Seated dips

110x10
125x15
140x15

Overhead extension

20lbsx15x13x11

Cable extensions
50 lbs x 10 3 sets

Great workout despite having very little to work with.

No More Cheat Meals?!!!

4 weeks out Diet change:

No more cheat meals at all,
Cardio is bumped up to 40 minutes per day, so what I do is, split it in to 2, 20 minute cardio sessions, one in the AM and the other
in the PM.

Cheat meals are gone, and no more pre-post workout carbs.
Im already as flat as a pancake.

The carbs are cut down, and I will be having a carb up day every 3-5 days as needed.

BTW, my parents yelling at me for using supplements is really bugging me out at this point.

I hate having comments like "why are you using our money for that kinda crap",
"Why dont you do something better with your life than goto the gym and eating supplements",
"How can you do that to your body?"

But hey, I guess live through it and endure.

So my total calories are down to about 2400 calories per day.
I feel so anorexic lol.

Shred Matrix will be taken upon waking up AND during the afternoon.

Itll be a double duty metabolism boosting supp.

Pretty grueling workout today, being carb depleted makes the workouts MUCH harder to complete.

Not bad numbers though

Shoulder and Bicep day

Shoulder hammer strength
25 lbs each arm x 6 reps
35 lbs each arm x 6 reps
35 lbs each arm x 6 reps

The form was horrible, If someone has any pointers to stabilizing the hammer strengths, then help is welcome!

Dumbbell seated shoulder presses
50 lbs x 5
50 lbs x 4
50 lbs x 4
50 lbs x 3

40 lbs x 5
40 lbs x 4
40 lbs x 3 (and a half rep)

30 lbs x 5
30 lbs x 5
30 lbs x 4

Front raises
15 lbs x 10 reps (3 second holds at the top) 3 sets
10 lbs x 10 reps (3 second holds at the top) 3 sets

Lateral Raise machine
30 lbs x 7 reps 3 sets

Lateral Raises
15 lbs x 10 reps 3 sets
10 lbs x 10 reps 3 sets

Rear lateral raises?
10 lbs x 10 reps 4 sets

Seated Calf raises
45 lb plate 15x 12 x 10 (slow, stretch nicely at the bottom,
squeeze hard at the top)

Alternating standing bicep curls
40 lbs x 10 x 8 x 6
30 lbs x 10
20 lbs x 10

EZ barbell curls

10 lbs each side
10 x 8 x 8 (hard squeeze at the top, slow on the negatives)

There was almost no rest, as I hate to feel as if I'm wasting time.

Did cardio after training. 20 minutes incline walking

Also did cardio in the morning at 6 am.
20 minutes walk (no inclines)
10 minutes light jog

Shred Matrix probably is what is
keeping my sanity in these low carb days.
(Practically keeping my energy levels up during the day
and in the gym)

Cant wait for saturday as thats my expected carb-up day.

UGGh

Saturday was horrible. None of the subway lines stopping near my gym were working properly, so it took me about 1 hour and 30 minutes to arrive near the gym, at that point, i needed to pick up my mother from her work.

:aargh:

So Sunday i worked out :)

Actually it was with one of my friends who is on a wheelchair, and being that I have to carry all his dumbbells (hes a strong guy, uses 90 lb dumbbells to rep on presses)

So all the differrent weights he used, I had to carry, and
not to mention helping him, on and off the wheelchair after every exercise.

Pooped me out for my turn. But strength was still pretty awesome.

Bench Press
135 lbs x 10 x 9 x 8
185 x 5 x5 x 5
205 x 2 x 3

My 205's suffered but its still certainly an improvement from 2-3 weeks ago where I was only doing 2-3 reps with 185's.

Could be that I had a carb up day the day before this workout.

Incline Bench Press
135 x 5 x 5 x5

Flat Dumbell press
50 x 10 x 8 x 9

Chest busters (dumbell close grip press kinda thing)
35 x 10 x 10 x 6

Chest flys
50 x 10
60 x 10
70 x 10

Lat pulldowns
80 x 10 x 10
90 x 10
100 x 10

Close grip
90 x 10
80 x 7
70 x 6
60 x 8
50 x 7

I was pooped. Not to mention it was a LONG workout since a workout partner was under special circumstances.

Not bad though.

Im actually posting from a school computer right now.

The week was awesome, and im flatter than a paper.
Carb depletion isnt fun :(
Been getting lightheaded just walking up the stairs (symptom of carb depleting)

Workouts have been awesome
Been taking two packs of shred matrix per day.

I'll post more later as its forbidden to use forums on school computers.
