Glucophage question

I dont know if this belongs in this forum, but I was wondering how the dosing of glucophage should be time. Should it be taken before, during, or after meals? Thanks.

If you are talking the prescription med glucophage (metformin) then it is with meals. BID or TID, once daily for the XR

BID= twice a day
TID= three times a day

Typically starting dose is 500mg, twice a day, breakfast and dinner. Remember though, this is for people with DMII, if you do not have impaired glucose utilization you may want to start off with one dose of 500mg daily.
