Diet On PH Cycles

After reading post after post of different cycles two things seem to remain constant, you must eat well (500-1000 cal) over maintenance and results with most PH cycles do not start to show until late in the 2nd week. My question is if the results do not start until the 2nd week are the extra calories really needed at the beginning of the cycle? It seems to me the extra cals in the beginning may just lead to additional fat gain. Does this make sense?

If your already lifting hard, those extra calories will go to build muscle...not fat, as long as they're good clean calories...keep your kcals up for about 2 weeks before you start your cycle, and all the way thru your pct too keep all of your gains. remember that as you put weight on, you have to eat more to build more.
