    dont think so

i dont think this will effect regular pins/syringes...

BD has already initiated the discontinuation of sales in the US of many conventional sharps devices across a range of product categories, including IV catheters, winged needle sets, lancets, and glass blood collection tubes..

Yes. read the article, no mention of discontinuing pins.

Looks to me from reading it, like the pins are still around. I wouldn't panic.

If you want to stock up tho, Hugh at sciensupply had great prices on them when I got them.

Bump for Hugh on bd pins they are much better then terumo. What I was told by a med supply rep was that bd was not discontinuing their syringes or pins, but you might see safety locs on all the syringes soon.

Imo just buy the terumo combos with a drawing pin, then buy the bd pins 25 gauge or whatever you like, in bulk. Then just switch pins and shoot away. I have no beef with terumo barrels, but I don't like their pins. And Hugh does sell bd pins seperately.

this is true, with bd you don't get the 1 in every 20 pins that won't penetrate a stick of butter.
