Damn, those are some INSANE numbers! You must respond really well to anabolics. I'm most impressed by your bench/military press increase. 100+ pounds on each.

I benched 265 max before gear. After my first cycle I could put up 315 for 2 reps. That's the biggest jump I've had since I crossed over.

Tom do you feel you had reached your genetic potential before starting your cycling? Thats a huge jump!!! Congrats either way.

I think the craziest jump I had was 100lbs on my Rack Deadlift in one cycle. I went from 405 x 8 to 555 x 8 and a 605 x 1 single with one cycle of Superdrol.

As far as me reaching my genetic potential before I started cycling..I'm sure I could've pushed an extra 5-10 pounds of lean body mass.

Keep in mind, these numbers are after 5 cycles...unfortunately, they are basically the same as after 4 cycles

Check out my journal to view my cycle history

I hear ya my deadlifts from the floor and in the rack went pretty crazy, my best rack pull before anabolics was 520lbs i believe and best while on anabolics was 710lbs, from the floor without anabolics i was deadlifting 410lbsx8 with them, 560lbsx4, i've yet to pull 600lbs from the floor but i'm done dieting i have no doubt i'll hit that goal and exceed it. Oh and best squat was 405lbs naturally, enhanced was 550lbs. DB curls were up to 65lbs at one point, the most i did naturally was 50's i believe. I'm glad i waited till i had some decent natural numbers though, i benched 365lbs naturally, hurt my forearms doing it but i still did it! lol Now i only use db's for chest so i couldn't tell you what bench now. Barbell rows went from 285lbs for 8 to 375lbs for 6 reps, these strength gains were over a 3 year period.

haha... why would I lie about something so stupid as this? I used to be a bobsledder, and squats and cleans were pretty much the staple of my training. Yah, it is pretty ridiculous though. If I get a hold of a camcorder some time Ill def try to get a vid for you. My whole body gets super red, and my eyes even get bright red! I look so funny! Or wait, was that green?

The only reason I think people question it, is because that number is higher than what Tom Platz the king of squats did.

No, not from jamaica maaannnn... haha. I am originally from Canada. Man, have u seen the new bobsledders from jamaica though? Holy crap, prolly some of the most jacked up guys I have ever seen. When I was a bobsledding I trained at Canada Olympic Park. A lot of really jacked up guys here, well what would you expect at the Olympic Training Facilities!? Well anyways, the jamaicans could outlift a lot of the power-lifters! Not even kidding, all of the jamaican bobsledders I met could atleast bench 400lbs for 6 or more reps! All of them were about 5'10'' 220lbs too. Lean mofo's. I dont know, they were jacked to the extreme.

Well that was after pulsing superdrol for 9 weeks, taking about 6 weeks off, and then running a phera cycle. Most of the strength gains came after the drol though. I love that ****!

That's insane man! Seems though like black dudes can usually put on muscle and stay lean easier than white dudes. For the most part I mean. But maybe John Candy is just a good trainer?

You know what though, Platz prolly has perfect form. He prolly makes sure that he goes down to atleast 90 degrees. I do not have perfect form, and I go to prolly 70-80 degrees. I get to prolly 90 degrees in the later reps, side note(the farther along in my reps I get, the deeper they get.... I think I am maybe just too tight when I start.. has anyone else noticed this with themselves?) But trust me, perfect form, and consentrating on hitting 90 degrees rather than concentrating strictly on pushing makes reps a lot harder. But you know what, if I knew it would cause such an up-roar, I would have just omitted it. Will that make you guys happy? I just dont know what else to say, My form is not perfect, but I can guarantee its pretty dang good. With record lifts they have to meet pretty exact criteria. I bet Platz lifts more than that during his regular workout, when he doesnt have such tight stipulations.

But you really only weighed 133 when you started? I'd like to hear about this. How much did you keep and what did you do for PCT?

I hate to be kind of an deuchbag... but what ever happened to people having STRONG natural numbers, and reaching their genetic peak??? I hate to sound like a ****, but i mean, people hittin sauce when they cant even rep 225?? what the **** is that. Not to be cocky, but i was hitting these natural weights when i was sophmore in high school. I love how everyone preaches about reaching natural potential and using the juice as just an aid... when it seems like lots of peoples strength is from sauce, and sauce only... not diet and years of paying their dues. My .02 cents. - HTTC

Congratulations on your amazing genes, but not everyone is the same. I have a friend who has been lifting and eating great for the past 5 years from age 16-21 and is finally now able to rep 225 5-6 times. Don't judge others just because you were blessed with good genes.

Im not by any means saying everyone should hit juice right away, all Im saying is 2 things vary.
#1-Genetics. Not everyone has great natural genes to get that strong naturally.
#2-Patience. Once gains slow down for alot of people it easy and hard to turn down a PH/Steroid cycle when you see people you know who were weaker then you suddenly outlift you in every way.

My rule of thumb is someone should be somewhere around a SOLID weight before starting. Someone at 5'10 should weight atleast 180 at a descently low body fat before they start and thats my minimum.

I find this hard to believe. What is your height and weight. At these numbers naturally, you should be competing.

Why are you going to your ankles for squats? Thats an injury waiting to happen...and 200lb db's...wish my gym had past 100...it sucks..

Plus to add to what you said. Some people have stronger muscle groups than others. Just because someones chest isnt that strong doesnt mean that there back isnt outrageous. I know some people with much, much, smaller chests than me who can outlift me by a long shot. My chest eclypses theirs, but theirs is whey stronger than mine. But when you look at the rest of their lifts, they are complete crap. A lot has to do with genetics. I personally can attest to this because even though my chest is big I really struggle at gaining strength on it. I just think people should know there body and as njt said, have a solid base. Face it, no one is going to completely max out their genetic potential without the use of roids. Your training, diet, sleep, emotions, everythign would have to be perfectly balanced to do this. Ohhh yah, and you would never be able to get sick either. Once the gains slow to a grind, then I think juice can be a great tool.

Great addition. I was just using chest as an example but this is a very true point. Im voting myself for the world's weakest shoulders.

I am 5'10", with an off season weight of 245-250... currently dieting and i'm aroud 225. I lifts numbers in my opinion are not impressive in the least. I grew up around hardcore lifters and began training in probably the meanest, most hardcore gym i've ever seen, when i was only 15 years old. I'm weak compared to the majority of my gym, and never really thought of myself as a strong person. My gyms DB's do go to 200, and they actually get used... a lot. It's funny hearing people say, "hey bro, you done w/ the 200s?"

You bring up the fact that i should compete... well, i do! haha, I won the state powerlifting championships two years ago, and also set a new state record for the deadlift in my class. I've been competing for about 4 years now, and have just recently become more interested in bodybuilding. I'd also like to clarify that i have NOTHING against steroids and their safe usage... i just have a big problem with irresponsible steroid abuse that ruins **** for everyone. Trust me fellas, i can only imagine how a nice shot of test prop in the ass would feel.

sounds like i need to find a gym like yours...i lift in a college gym half the time, and a corporate gym the other half...i have never seen anyone in either gym doing more weight than me on anything...sounds cocky but i'm not bragging at all...i think the gyms both bring a poor crowd and i've done 5 cycles
