Extending the Shelf Life of 4AD

Anyone know if the shelf life of 4AD can be extended by either vacuum sealing or freezing the product? A buddy still has some of the Ergopharm stuff hanging around and it expires next month. He would like to eventually crack open the pills and make a transdermal solution but doesn't want to use it until early next year.

Removing the compound from light, heat, and oxygen, and moisture would be your best bet for preservation. Vacuum sealing the product with some oxygen absorber and dessicant packs, and then keeping it in the freezer will probably extend it quite a bit.

Superlow temps are bad for hormones (-20C), but I'd think the temps in a standard food freezer would be just fine.
