Milk Thistle and Anabolic uptake

I was reading the second article in the Heavy Metal Detox log in the Supplements section where C. Poliquin says that Milk Thistle isn't a popular choice for people wanting to get the most from anabolic compounds or something to that effect. Can someone set the record straight on this? Do you just wait until PCT to take Milk thistle? How long before Milk Thistle starts working and if it affects absorbtion, how long do you have to be off it before you can start the compound?
 
Personally, I've seen no difference in gains between running cycles with and without milk thistle and NAC..or KR-ALA for that matter. Therefore, I'd rather enjoy the peace of mind that I am taking some preventative measures.

The harsher methyls like M1T, SD or these new halo compounds are so anabolic that I don't think MT/NAC is going to slow down growth noticably. Keeping the liver happy would also indirectly help with post cycle recovery..at least hypothetically and in the holistic sense.
