Storing HCG

This is a more a question regarding bacteria and safety, I guess.

Last week I mixed the two amps that come with HCG by using a needle to put the bacteriostatic water in the amp with the HCG. I then suctioned all of the HCG up with that needle. After I switched the needles and was done with everything, I removed the needle and wrapped the syringe in a napkin and a couple plastic bags and put it into the fridge because it still had some more HCG in it.

My question is, if I do not have a needle on the syringe and I'm storing it in the fridge, could bacteria have entered the syringe?

however, the chance of infection/abscess after a s.c. injection is almost zero, if you do it i.m. is another story.
