I assume you are referring to the 17alpha methyls that compounds like M1-T, MOHN, etc have. This is easy for an organic chemist to do provided they have the right precursor(s) and a lab to do it in, definitely NOT something one can do at home. It typically utilizes highly reactive, air and water sensitivie agents which are often times pyrophoric (things such as methyl lithium, methylmagnesium bromide, etc). Methyl lithium is typically used.

Chucky is correct. Lithium is very reactive. I wouldn't play with this stuff, and I've had organic lab.
