Understanding Nolva dosage for PCT

I have read many threads here with quite a bit of conflicting info on this subject. If you are knowledgable/experienced re: this query, then your assistance is appreciated.

When using Nolva post-cycle, how do you determine dosing?

I typically see --

Week 1-2: 40mg/daily
Week 3-4: 20mg/daily

or

Week 1: 60mg/daily
Week 2-3: 40mg/daily
Week 4: 20mg/daily

Though there are some variations to this. Is it better to follow a general pattern or is it wise to take into consideration the specific compound(s) that were using on-cycle? Does bodyweight play a role in dosing Nolva for PCT? What kind of variance is there if you have done a 4 week cycle, 6 week cycle, or 2-on, 2-off, 2-on cycle, etc?

Any info you could give, not to feed me an answer, but to help me understand how to determine the best way to go about planning my PCT using Nolva, is appreciated.

40 mg of tamoxifen = 60 mg of tamoxifen citrate. You need to use 60 mg of "research" nolva to get 40 mg of active compound.

I was wondering this myself because I'm wrapping up a SD/1 test cycle. I've always used 6oxo in the past, but got I wanted to try tamoxifen this time. What would be appropriate PCT for a 4 week cycle? TIA.

The answer here is pretty well "whatever works best for you" I always tell people to do the Week 1-2: 40mg/daily Week 3-4: 20mg/daily thing as it is simple and easy to follow and will work for almost anyone. tamoxifen citrate what almost everyone uses. (I not sure what the oral availability is with plan tamoxifen would be) so the dosages people give are for the citrate. keep in mind that 60mg a day is pushing it a little, you should not take any more per day then this due to the sides becoming increasing prevalent. I have seen people recommend 80mg a day for the first couple of days if you start getting gyno and for a couple of days that might be ok (nolvadex has a 6 day "half-life" that is nonlinear) to frontload it but if it doesn’t work at 60mg I’m not sure that it will work at all.

as for scheduling there is all kinds. But for everything including the 4 on 4 off the basic 4 week step-down will work. Some like going 40-30-20-10 or 40-40-20-20 and a couple of people have mentioned that running 20mg for 4 weeks works just fine. For myself I just use Swale’s guild lines.

i've been a little prone to gyno in my first 2 cycles. i had to take 80mgs of tamoxifen citrate for the puffiness to disappear, then i ramped down 60/40/20 for the remaining 3 weeks, PCT speaking. during the cycle, i had to take up to 80mgs a day for a few days, then ramped down quickly to 30mgs for the majority of the symptoms to go away. i still feel a slight hardness under the skin but it's not getting any worse. cycle is almost over anyway.

Should Nolva be used longer than 4 weeks for cycles that last 12 weeks, or should you not run Nolva longer than 4 weeks due to the sides/toxicity levels?

I wouldn't. if anything I would add HCG before the PCT to help things along. Again this is one of those "what works best for you" things.

remember that it has a 6 day half life and does take some time to build up and to taper down.

have you got a study/profile to back that up? just curious - i've seen a ton of different T^.5 for nolva. also - anyone know what clomid's is?

Does the 1.5 number account for Clomiphene Citrate and Sildenafil Citrate and Tada (viagraa and Cialis) as well. Does everything have to be multiplied by 1.5?

I think it's only for tamoxifene citrate, I've never tried clomid, but viagra and cialis work for me at regular dose just fine.
