ive got access to l-tyroxine and beleive this is t4 (converts to t3)

as its anticatabolic im thinking of using it whilst using test, to shed a few unwanted pounds.

but what dosages and for how long should i use this?

No it's very catabolic, but if your shooting a gram of test/wk, it will only burn fat and speed recovery/detox. Start low, like 25mic/d for a week and work it up to as much as 200 if your heart can take it, but do it slow! And then come back down pretty slow too.

Yeah, that's perfect at 4-6 wks, don't get greedy with it or you'll suppress your titer after 4 months or so.

What about a 22 year-old with natural high-T? Would 25 mcg of thyroxine be a bad idea for a 4 week cycle by itself?

conversion of t4 to t3 is 4:1, 25mcg of T4 isnt gonna do much

Incorrect, taking lower doses of T4 will not suppress TSH, so you will have your natural thyroid hormones at normal levels on top of some extra T4 and T3 from the T4.

Taking T3 at just about any dose is going to drop TSH to nearly zero.

The conversion is too complex to give a general ratio for, as lots of things are taken into consideration. Most of T3 comes from the liver converting T4 to T3, but the thyroid also makes a small ammount of T3 as well as other hormones.

that argument sounds counterintuitive...any time you add an exogenous thyroid/pituitary/hypothalamus hormone, the associated gland becomes suppressed to a degree...that's just feedback for you....

and Jarconis is 100% right - 25mcg of T4 isnt going to do much of anything. he11, the stuff comes in 100mcg tabs on average.

also, i disagree with Dr.D about the taper up - IMO it's unnecessary. and 200mcg is actually not a big dose, and there are virtually no sides at that dose, besides possibly higher body temp and maybe some sluggishness, but on the whole T4 is super mild.
