5th PH cycle

Current Cycle: 800-900mg. 4AD trans, 100mg. NorAd trans, 100-200mg. NorAd Oral. (Per Day)

My stomach distension & bloat is the worst it has ever been. I've had a small knot above my belly button for about 3-4 years now, but it seems like it might be a little aggravated with this rapid weight gain and stomach distension that has came with it. (10lbs. gained in 2 weeks! 5'10" 190-200lbs!) I know I should go to the doctor, but I'm hoping to hear otherwise. I see knots like this in bodybuilder pics often and I'm hoping they are just sists and not a hernia. I'm hoping I don't have to have a hernia sugery b/c that will take me out for 2 weeks at least. (I have not taken more than one week off in 7 years!!!!!!) I can't afford having a hernia surgery. What do you think?? Hernia, sists, ?

BTW: People reading for educational purposes, Severe Stomach Distension is the only side effect I have experienced in this high dose cycle

Time to visit the doctor. If it is a hernia then it needs to be repaired as it will not get any better, only worse.

Longer than that bro. The wife's had 2 hernia surgeries. You're doc may release you sooner, but for her,
heavy lifting was out for about 6wks.

800-900mg of ORAL 4-ad is alot. transdermal, that is an outrageous amount. the bloat must be phenomenal. that's a hard way to go about bulking - you're asking for stretch marks and high BP.

you never got the knot checked out before? whatever it is i'd imagine it'd be aggravted by water retention in the midsection.

Yeah, I'm on some high doseages. I'm trying to get swole:D

I never had the knot checked out before because it never hurt, and it never crossed my mind that it may be a hernia. I always thought that hernias were down lower and this knot was above my belly button. I figured it was just a sist or something.

I also thought you were supposed to feel a pain when you cough. This I don't have. I just notice an odd/uncomfortable feeling doing squats and leg press. Bringing my knees to my stomach on leg press feels like it is going to make my stomach explode since my distension is so bad.

Your bloat is so bad because you are using "800-900mg" 4ad trans!. That will just bloat you up like a hot air balloon!. I say cut it down to around 400mg and wait a week or two. Also take something for the bloat. If you still have problems after the bloat goes down, then I would go to the doctor.

I have nolva on hand. Will that help with distension as well as letro?

NO. get the AI.

but i have to think - test-based AAS cycles use AI's because all that extra test in the system (often 3-5x baseline) aromatizes. in the case of 4-ad, the test bump is not as significant (as anyone who's used it will tell you - it isnt that anabolic) but the bloat is worse - suggesting it works by another mechanism....dbol does the same thing, actually - causing weight gain that is disporportionate to the amount of extra test....in the case of dbol, the extra estrogen is a big contributor to that, but what about 4-ad? if that bloat isnt from test or estrogen - then where? and if not from one of those sources, how sure are we that an AI will cut the bloat (besides the estrogen it prevents from your natty test not aromatizing)?

I stopped the cycle short and started nolva because I became paranoid. It was going great so that was upsetting.

Anyway, I met with my doc and the resident as well. The resident checked me out first and came to the conclusion that it was just a "lypoma" (not sure of spelling) this is just a fat or calcium type of deposit like a sist or something. When my doc came in he thought the same thing until towards the end. When he pushed on it a certain way it hurt, which was a sign that it might be a hernia so he wanted me to get a CAT scan. However, the bump is not reducable (In other words, I can't push it in), nor is it strangulated or causing me pain? My doc is having me get a CAT scan tomorrow, while the resident argued and firmly believes it is just a lypoma. Anyway, I have to fast for 6 hours and drink this bottle of crap that coats my insides a couple hours before and then get some pics taken. I'll let you know what happens.

Anybody else get these fatty lumps?

The radiologist said she would guess a hernia, but won't know for sure until a doctor evaluates it.

I have a fatty lump like that on the back of my neck. My doctor checked it awhile back and said it was just a "fatty tumor". Its not cancerous or anything like that just a lump of fat. It could be removed but it wouldn't be covered by any type of insurance because it is strictly cosmetic.. It doesn't really bother me and doesn't really stick out. No one notices it so I just deal with it. No worries.

I'm ticked now. After a resident doctor, MD, radiologist, and a radiologist technician all checked me out, I still have no idea what it is. My doc says if it isn't bothering me not to worry about it. Easy for him to say though. If it is a cancerous growth or something I would like to know. He said my CAT scan results came up perfectly clear. Nothing showed up at all.

Now I have no clue what to do.

I agree that is alot for transdermal, but for oral 900-1200 is preferred, with 900 being a minimum that I would take orally. I have gone as high as 1500mgs orally, its good stuff, though expensive.

Dude I have has the same **** happen before, it was so annoying. A few years ago, for about a period of 2-3 years, I could not bend my left wrist backwards any signifgant degree. After many xrays, MRI's, and doctors visits, they had found nothing. One day I got pissed about it and was just like **** it, and started busting out pushups, it went away. Hasnt come back since (about 2 1/2 years gone) Who knows what it was, but glad its gone, was painful to even type.

Dude, a small knot/bump above your belly button that protrudes is likely to be an epigastric (sp?) hernia.

Have you seen a surgeon that specializes in hernias, or at least a surgeon?

I had an umbilical hernia that I knew of, and the first two surgeons I went to failed to notice that I also had a small epigastric hernia (probably b/c it never caused me any pain, but he was the only one who examined all of my body for hernias).

These things can be tricky, I would advise seeing a specialist.

Never heard of an epigastric hernia. I'm assuming it is different from an umbilical hernia. I have not seen a surgeon, but my doc gave me the number of one in case I want to get another opinion. I'm so sick of doctor visits, I haven't went yet. My doc said it is probably nothing to worry about. Especially since nothing showed up in the cat scan. I still have a gut instinct that it is a hernia but I don't know how they can find out without cutting it.

I was thinking about having another doctor look at the cat scan, b/c for them to say nothing is there is retarted because any idiot can take one look at my stomach and see the knot.

Ive used over 900 mg trans 4ad per day, its a nice way to simulate a high dose test cycle, but you should definitely use an AI

There are several different types of hernias that can occur on the abdomen. The most common are umbilical. They are located right around your belly button. Just above and sometimes up to an inch or two above the belly button are where epigastric hernias occur. Epigastric are usually not dangerous, as they don't have the propensity to become strangulated as easily as umbilical or inguinal (the ones in the groin) hernias. There are also incisional hernias that can occur on the abdomen, and higher up are hiatal hernias.

If I were you, I would see a surgeon becuase hernias never reduce or heal--they always either stay the same size or become bigger over time. If you lift weights, you will speed up the process of enlarging the hernia and increase the chance of intestinal strangulation. As far as insurance is concerned, they will cover any hernia operation because it is not considered elective surgery. Generally, most surgeons don't recommend you get surgery unless it is bothering you or becomes big enough to be dangerous. I agree with that--I got mine fixed b/c they were starting to hurt.

Just an FYI--if you do have a hernia, you can get it fixed with a tension free mesh repair and will be back in the gym in around 6 or so weeks depending on if there is an infection or slowed recovery.
