Zero Libido on TRT - take clomid? Vit D to blame?

I am a 35/m had been on TRT for over a year, 100 cyp/week no HCG no AI. My libido was doing fine most of the year but went to zero 3 months ago. I did manage to ejaculate twice in past 3 months but it was like a teaspoon of water instead of the big thick loads I used to shoot before.

Last month I upped my regular dose of 100 cyp to 200 cyp/week. I also started dosing 50 mg clomid daily. Within a few days, I began having night erections and morning wood. Not really any libido but at least the erections were back. I ran into this thread about clomid being useless while on TRT Why not low dose clomid with trt?? and decided to quit clomid after 10 days of taking it.

Soon my erections disappeared. I am not sure if erections I started to get recently were due to me upping the TRT dosage from 100-200 or from the clomid?? Is it possible the erections started because my receptors were initially responding to the increased TRT temporarily and that clomid had nothing to do with?

A blood test last month showed my T levels at 257 and low vitamin D at 24. Perhaps insufficient vitamin D is the culprit for no libido?

I want the erections back. I am confused. Shall I resume clomid or take nolva or HCG?

Get your estrogen checked.

On TRT your ejaculate will have significantly less volume.

Estrogen was under 15. If volume is supposed to be low, I dont understand why was it up to 10x more for almost a year on TRT but dwindled away recently

T level of 257 on 100mg Cyp per week? If you're under 300 that's why you take TRT. Your baseline is close to zero now so doubling your Cyp doubled your T and hence the wood returned. Sounds like your gear is underdosed as 125mg is supposed to take you to around 500. A standard 500mg cycle dose should put you around 1800ng/dl. Your Cyp sucks.

quite possible it was fake or impure coz I had got this cyp from overseas but I switched back to cyp from walgreens...so erections came back but why might they have disappeared again? do i need to give it more time coz I have only been on this new cyp from walgreens for less than 4 weeks. How long before I hit levels of 500+ by being on this weekly 200 cyp and hopefully rock hard erections on demand?

If you double your dose for a week (which is how we normally start off cycles) you should get your levels up within a week.

What the scale? 257 may not be low?

What the reference range for the testing? Too low of estrogen is just as bad for the sex drive as too high of E.

TRT in what respect. Exogenous testosterone? It seems to be the norm that once you start to introduce exogenous T into your body and you shut down your volume will decrease.

I think your answer is in your posts, your test cyp was from over seas..my guess is it was completely bunk look what you said. You started taking clomid which will raise lh your test was 257 assuming you were very low your 257 probably came from the LH increase caused by the clomid you stop clomid hard ons go away. give the walgreens Cyp a chance wait a few more weeks and see if it works out if it does not look at a dose change followed by adding in other options like clomid back in.

If you take more of a methodical approach you will find what works for you slowly add in options or take things away to find the cause.

I don't think the clomid is to blame. I've heard ppl recommend taking half way through a long cycle to help prevent a hard shut down. But I don't know just throwing that out there.... Can you get Proviron? This will free up some test and from my experience it does miracles for my libido!

I will look into getting proviron to free up test - will it also help me generate test naturally or only free up what is there?

how about also throw in clomid to restart my shutdown? From what this MD wrote here, clomid during TRT is useless. does it help keep your balls working or not?

If you want to restart your HTPA I would use a combination of clomid and HCG therapy.

I suppose these articles apply to to those not injecting test. I am on TRT 200 mg cyp for life. However, I want to restart my HPTA as my sperm count is negligible and my wife & I are planning a child, but I feel infertile. Should I still do a combination of clomid/HCG despite continuing my weekly TRT.

I know the above questions are better answered by a qualified doctor, however my endo is very incompetent, old school, misinformed. I just havent had the time to change doctors and I believe advice here is much more accurate.

I don't know that you can effectively "restart" your HTPA while on exogenous Test?

When T-levels hit below a certain point with the aforementioned drugs in use, it can trick the body into restarting but it won't last long. A lot of blast/cruise methods use this with success

I am 33 and I have been on TRT for 2 yrs now. I would suggest to stay away from over seas stay on the prescribed test n maybe up it to 250 2x a week and add HCG and Anastrozol to your cycle. This has really kept my sex life going strong. Maybe add a little cialis to the mix while your waiting.

First off, using an overseas source or any UG is going to be a variable when things aren't going as planned. Once you get a reputable source, then you can have a better place to start your troubleshooting.

Why is that? When I first started TRT with Testim gel, I was shooting the most gigantic loads of my life. Like so much I could never tell when it was going to stop, and my girl would eventually laugh because it got so ridiculous. After a few months on TRT, the volume decreased very significantly, and eventually wouldn't even shoot out, just dribble or run out. I haven't been able to shoot with any force since then, and it's always thick and low volume. I wish it would go back to the way it was when first starting TRT!! I have no clue how to get like that again.

My ejac has never gone down in 3 years on TRT. This is a foreign concept to me.

I don't know what else TRT could shut down to cause less volume. I mean, semen only comes from your prostate, seminal vesicles, and a tiny amount from your testicles right? Maybe higher e2 causes less water to be used in creating semen? That could be a possibility for low volume/thicker loads. I really don't think testicles play much of a factor in volume of semen, I've read somewhere that guys with testicles removed could still ejaculate normally with exogenous testosterone. Even without exogenous testosterone they could still function sexually and ejaculate.

Not to go off on a tangent, but are you aware that the bands "Lovin Spoonful" and "10cc" are both named after what has been purported to be the average amount of ejaculate?

Exogenous testosterone inhibits LH and FSH which reduces testicular function and its effects manifest themselves differently in individuals.

I'm wondering if high hematocrit/high RBC would cause thick semen?
