You really just want to have different length pins for different spots. That way you don't have to worry about holding the pin steady quite as much. Oh and there's a ridiculous amount of info on this on this site. So use the search button you might learn something.

you should just "dart" it in...it doesnt really matter as long as you reach the muscle
