Xenoandrogens

What is up with Xenoandrogens? If you look it up on wiki it says Xenoandrogens are a group of artificially created compounds with properties similar to the human steroid hormone testosterone and its derivatives. Xenoandrogens currently known include modified tocopherols and tocotrienols, modified nicotinamides, and the toxic tributyltin, triphenyltin, and methyltestosterone. It have been commercially available since the second half of 2011, but some professional athletes have been using them since early 2010. The first mention of the use of xenohormones by top athletes in official media was about the Russian swimming team using them at the 2011 World Championship in Shanghai. Because of their similarity to actual anabolic steroids, the use of xenoandrogens by athletes has been widely protested especially by the WADA-AMA. You can only get it at one place that sells it in europe. They are the patent holder to all currently existing xenoandrogens. It can be shipped overseas. The website that sells it gave the products similar names to the real AAS they are suppose to compare to. It comes in a vial (oral but can be injected due to it being sterile?) or tablets. I am sure you will not get the same results as the real stuff but is a legal alternative till it becomes banned. Do some research, what is you opinion on this?

Research has shown that many xenoandrogens can have potentially harmful effects on both animals and humans. Studies have indicated that human male reproductive disorders can arise as a result of disrupted AR signaling by persistent organic pollutants (POPs) acting as xenoandrogens. There is evidence showing that populations around the world are affected differently by xenoandrogens. In a study done by Tanja Krüger and colleagues it was determined that two study groups, Europeans and Inuit, were being exposed to different levels of xenoandrogens. The differences were attributed to variations in chemical exposure profiles, genetics, and/or lifestyle factors;[SUP][7][/SUP] these may lead to differences in hormone-level-related medical problems. It was revealed in a follow-up study that in the European groups, xenobiotic-induced (xenoandrogenic-induced) receptor activities were found to be positively correlated with DNA damage, as measured through sperm DNA damage.[SUP][8][/SUP] DNA damage is very closely related to many health conditions including cancer and possibly aging.[SUP][9][/SUP]

Is there any chance that "anabolic" xenoandrogens created in a lab aren't harmful like those occurring as pollutants are? LOL

Do these xenoandrogens act as androgens simply because the molecule, of whatever the organic compound being used, is modified to be shaped like the androgen being mimicked

The basic substance is very similar to vitamin E. It is the molecular modification that makes it anabolic/androgenic. There are no less than 254 various xenoandrogens that can be potentially used as performance-enhancement drugs. Of course, not all of them are fit for human use and some may in theory prove rather harmful. Of the 254 computer-designed modifications, 47 have been tested in laboratory conditions and out of these 47, 12 eventually made it to commercial production. It’s too early to say if xenoandrogens are completely safe. So far people have tested it and had no side-effects and compared it to the real AAS. It is still unclear whether PCT is needed. So far it seems that it is enough to stop using xenoandrogens for one month after the cycle. This stuff is just so new is gonna take years of testing and research.
