TSH Optimization - What is subclinical Hypo

There would seem to be a broad basis on opinions as to what constitutes
subclinical hypothyroidism....

My FT4 is always at bottom end of range, but the FT3 is in 50-60th percentile
by Quest's ref ranges. My TSH was 1.6 and I used generic thyroid for weight loss
attempt for 3 weeks at 40 mcg and found it went to 1.1 and FT4 from 0.90 to 0.99.
I dropped it because I didn't noticed any weight loss, felt it limited my anabolic activity,
and didn't want to deal with a bad hypo episode post.

What I wonder here is --- has anyone who used a T3 or T4 or combination whether Synthroid
, Armour, generic, or other brand found coherent results for weight loss and have the lab work to
where the can quantity where they pushed their TSH down do during this optimization window.

Any commentary or thoughts on this would be appreciated..
