Designer Anabolic Steroid Control Act of 2011

A word of advice to any company selling Designer Steroid products……..

Designer Anabolic Steroid Control Act of 2011

The new law is not going to be as in the past, to take a bunch of compounds and add them to the list. They are going after all compounds almost like an analog act, acting as a catch-all for the products they have been wanting to remove all along. The law is to prevent any new designer steroids to come to the market.

The worst part is the “adulterated” or “misbranded drug” charge. If you all do not know what this means…. any product that claims to act like a drug or have any action in the body which would be comparable to a drug, gives the legal groundwork to state the once “dietary supplement” is in actuality a “misbranded drug”. Although the general public, general consumer wants to see the long, concise and scientific write-up for their new shiny product, this same write-up is also serving as a concise detailed account of how this new “drug” acts on the body and they are pushing to criminalize marketing steroidal products based on advertising claims. You can’t say anything about anabolic, androgenic, weight gain, muscle building. You can do it if you are selling a protein but not with these kind of products. This new law is supposed to be coming mid 2011.

Fancy write-ups targeting site-specific actions and effects on the body and the claims about the products being sold are laying the groundwork for building a case against you. You might as well open the door for the feds instead of them knocking it down….you are going down the wrong road with your marketing and advertising for these types of products. Remember last year bodybuilding.com and a few other companies got raided, their products weren’t illegal to sell. Bodybuilding.com didn’t get charged but they sure pulled every hormonal compound down from their site quick. A few other companies were forced to take a plea and at least one company was charged with selling a misbranded and adulterated drug; again even though the compounds were legal to sell at the time.

I have all these friends around from working in the industry for so many years. My one buddy hit me and his wife works for the FDA. She told me this and the news article should be coming out sometime next month.

I hate the idea of being kept safe from my own choices.

Saying that im from the UK. But then again the government we have in are totally against drug use of any kind. The government before re-clasiffied Cannabis form C to B. So they all in all arn't stuck on the idea of having steroid posession legal.

Makes Me wonder how this will effect creatine products and pre workout energy powders...

Also makes me wonder if this will have any contradictions with dshea compliance and products that conform if they are marketed to do one thing or another.... If protein can claim its muscle building effects then anything compliant found in the diet and supported by studies should be able to do likewise.....

Having more conservatives in the house and Senate isn't going to help matters either after this last election. We already know how McCain was trying to regulate every supplement down to protein!!

Sure some things should probably be prohibited from sale, not so much because of their actions in the body but because of the unscrupulous methods used by ALOT of supplement companies such as over advertising/exagerating the benefits of their supplement and under reporting serious side affects. HOWEVER....

What is going on here is part of a much bigger picture where we are all losing our freedom. This is a prime example. A democracy? Ya...Sure. The funny thing is the law makers and congresmen enacting these laws know nothing about nutrition, supplements, pharmacology, biology, chemistry etc etc... All of them went to school to become lawyers and somehow knowing the law justifies them telling you whats best for you.

Got a problem? Dont put it to a vote just give it enough media attention and a law will be passed that protects a few idiots at the expense of the majority.

Take, for example, all the attention this 'bullying' stuff recieved a few weeks ago. Before the week was done they were contemplating a law against bullying. Are you serious? If this law is ever passed it would no doubt turn free speech into a criminal act.

Seriously how often do we see now where a cause, group, organization, agenda or a any controversial topic is settled by a vote, the majority of the people ( a democracy ) vs. how many times we see a law enacted based on a well publicized law suit? Which in turn grabs the attention of congressmen and senators. Next thing you know there are hearings and commitees and more media attention until what ever the issue is-is settled by some ridiculous infrigments on the rights of the majority for the sake of a few.

My rant is done. Buty seriously this aint just about our supplements.

This is definitely taking more of our freedoms away if it gets passed. If there going to ban everything and make ph illegal then I might as well start running the real deal. You can always get that in mexico and I highly doubt it will ever get banned there.

This quote represents just how depraved our society is becoming. We have wicked people voting liberals into office to fulfill our own selfish ends while they in turn write laws to faciliate the barbaric massacre of our own unborn sons and daughters.

i think ill sacrifice my designers if it means electing good men into office that dont believe its right that hundreds of thousands of babies EVERY YEAR get their brain vacuumed out or thrown into the trash the second they are born.

Think about that. Our own doctors have legally killed EXPONENTIALLY more people than Adolf Hitler. but its ok cause we got the ''right to choose''.
Not the right thread nor forum for your views on abortion, liberals, or the rich loving republiCANTS

This is a bodybuilding forum and I bring that up in relation to the topic at hand. And as far as the topic at hand, republicans and conservatives want to tell you what you can take, smoke, drink, and eat while they sit back and take the money from the middle class..just sayin

Cause everybody knows George W. was so great

GOP takes control over house and Senate=EPIC Fail
