The Senate Is Voting On The Prohormone Ban June 8th!!

I just heard that the senate vote will be held on June 8 th. Start going nuts e mailing, calling, and faxing your senators. I don't know if it would be better to focus on senators that might have some problems getting reelected. Here in Massachusetts Ted Kennedy's big fat ass is here until he dies probably the same thing with Kerry. I think they will less likely to listen than someone who might get kick out of office.

    Can you post a link?

Curious as to whether or not this is the "final" vote, or a vote prior to changes, etc.

There are two bills, the Biden in the Senate, and then the House's version. Don't they have to agree on one version first? Maybe that's what they are voting on?

i'm surprised they aren't trying to ban chicken. just think what would happen if chicken was banned...it would be really hard to eat clean, good whole food protein.

by banning chicken they could save all our little kids and practically shut down bodybuilding, all in one swoop...i guess they just aren't smart enough to figure this out by themselves. good thing they can't read either.

I believe it has to move through the house, then to the senate, then the president must sign it before it becomes a law/amendment.

come on, dont you all remember schoolhouse rock?

That's what I thought. I was looking on the usfa site and the site adm. said this
For instance, if the Senate bill were to go through "unscathed" and was not "marked up" in committee, it would go to a vote in the Senate, then the House and then would go to the President's desk for a vote. We are closely monitoring the "issue" that is currently stalling the bill's approval, and we are continually lobbying to slow its passing.

Unfortunately, best case scenario, this legislation will almost certainly go into effect by August for the upcoming Olympic games... maybe sooner. I'm sure that at this point, Congress will do whatever is necessary to ensure that this bill is in effect by Olympics.

All bills passed by Congress must be signed by the president.

:edited to add: ... or they don't become law.
