Lump from prop injection

ive been on pharm grade prop for 3 weeks now for TRT. my very first shot was into my delt. got the typical pain soreness for 2-3 days, and now its fine. problem is, i still have a lump that is visible when i raise my arm 90 degrees outward. its firm, and feels like its under the muscle. its about 1 inch of a small cigar, "Halfed", and then the round side facing up placed under my skin(best way i could describe the look). thats an exagerrated size, but its similar.

im a vet with TRT, so injection procedures were followed and i dont skimp on being clean and sterilizing.
its been there for 3 weeks now, with no pain or redness, just a firm lump. what is this?????

Id go to the doctor. Ive heard of guys say they drained them themselves...but honestly thats just stupid. Go to the doc, make sure thats what it really is, and have them take care of it.

there is no pain, no fever, no discomfort of any kind. its just a firm mound. im gonna try the heating pad thing for a few days i think. there is no way in hell its infected or anything. i think it could be tissue damage?

a benign abcsess is just oil that formed a pocket in the muscle and never dissipitated. Its not an infection. The only way I know to get it taken care of is to drain it. ITS NOT AN INFECTION!

will those dissipate with time (and heating/massaging)?

Many times they will. I would use heat/cold compresses to try to reduce it before going to the doctor. If it is an abscess then it could get larger so just keep an eye on it. Make sure you use compression because that is what you need.

If you do go to the doctor you can easily say you got your friendly flu shot IM/SQ and this happened. So that you dont look sketchy.

i had that happen to me twice with delt injects. It went away within a little less than 2 weeks. If it sticks around longer than 2 weeks you should probably go get it looked at.

I would really get it checked bro.
I mean I had 1 on my delt from TE but it went away in like 5 days.
Ask the Doc.

Lol.

Ok, let me say this again.

Bro. Ask the Doc.

Really though. This is not an everyday side from doing an inject.
There is something not right there bro.

Ask the Doc.
