Difference between a PH and a STEROID

My girlfriend asked me this question, and the best answer i could come up with is 'a PH converts to something once in the body, and a STEROID is already active'. Well, im sure there is more to it than this, so i figured id make a topic on it.. She wanted me to post this as well.


Also, how do you know what product is a steroid and what is a PH

That's pretty much it. As far as knowing what is what, you would just google the compound's nomenclature and you will find information about it.
 
Pretty much same thing, both will shut you down and can cause side effects.
 
The more you may hear to explain is that there are some prohomones that have some kind of activity on their on, for exemple, 4-OHA (usualy called formestane) is considered and used for its aromatase-inhibiting effects, but it also converts into 4-OHT (4-hydroxytestosterone) a steroid that is used for cutting purposes and for some lean gains. There is also another diference that may be interesting: there are some PH that also have a higher bioavalability then the target Steroid itself (it came to my mind the case of Adrenosterone (11-OXO or 11-Sterone) and its target hormone 11-ketotestosterone, which makes more effective to take the PH than the Steroid, but only due to the poor oral avalability of the 11-ketotestosterone). But I guess there is much more to explain about PH and Steroids, in terms of what they are and what they do (ofcourse their effects vary extremely from substance to substance, but that's a different story;)).
 
the simple explanation you gave is basically it

well you just have to learn what is what, research basically. the chart in the sticky section tells you what is a ph and what is a ds
its better you dont know
so you can tell your girlfriend your taking pro hormones and take designer steroids
