WHAT EXACTLY IS "SHUT DOWN"

Hi

im always reading on here about everything shutting down if you stay on steroids too long , but what exactly happens?

The reason i ask , is because ive been on test replacement therapy for about 4 years, receiving testosterone undeconate(nebido) yet i still get erections , i still can produce sperm .I receive the injection every 11 weeeks and currently in my 2nd week of another 11 week cycle.

so what does go on when guys talk about shut down and is it over exaggerated?
 
If you're on test replacement therapy your body is getting test from the injections for whatever reason.

Shut down is where you have no need for testosterone replacement (Your body produces it naturally) and by introducing testosterone (Or good faximiles of testosterone) into your system your body's requirement to generate it's own isn't there so it shuts down. Leading to a shrinking of the testicles and potential atrophy if done incorrectly. End of that is you might need test replacement therapy etc.

Think it sums it up in a nutshell. Pardon the pun. :D

so the external test is enabling my nuts to produce sperm?
It would seem then that as regards stacking a designer or prohormone with the test , shouldnt be a problem as long as i pick carefully(.I wouldnt want something harsh or even methylated).?

no the external test tells you body you have enough and "shuts down" you natural production of test, hense why your boys shrink. that is what being shut down means, natural test production is stopped....

but i still dont follow because i am producing sperm, so the dosage im getting cannot be enough to shut me down .Nebido is in an oil base and designed to last 10-14 weeks , so the test is delivered slowly until it peaks and declines again.

I realise what should happen but in my case it dont ,Im not saying i ejaculate like a 17 yr old college kid 24/7 but i can produce the goods if i want to.
 
Shutdown refers to a cessation of natural testosterone production NOT sperm production

You still produce sperm even when very shutdown... I think the sperm count might be lower though.

i didn't say anything about sperm. as a matter of fact when i'm on test my libido is through the roof and loads are the same size. its like being 15 again, but old enough to appreciate it
