Epistane-Smells like sulphur?

I ordered a bottle of epistane from nutra planet and upon opening the bottle it smelled like sulphur-ok I can get past this. But, whenever I take it I have the nastiest gas that smells like sulphur. Is this the compound in action or did I get a bad batch-just curious.
